  • i hope this post can still help you.

    try the ff steps:

    1. Open your Notes Client.
    2. Open your Notes Mail.
    3. Sa Navigation Frame sa left, (where you can see Inbox, Drafts, Sent, etc.,) click Tools then click Rules.
    4. Dun sa view sa main frame, click New Rule.
    5. From the New Rule dialog box, specify the conditions and actions you would like. For example, a condition may be specified as "sender" "contains" "Juan Dela Cruz" and action may be specified as "move to folder"-"Dedma"

kung ganito ginagawa mo't hindi gumagana, please post again and let's look into it further.
  • ive been doin the same thing but this is the condition i want to have

  • dapat makita mo yung following column values, (without the double quotes:)

column 1 - "WHEN Subject contains RECEIVED"
column 2 - "THEN move to folder READ MSGS"

kung iba dyan yung naka-display make sure that you follow the updated steps below. baka may na-overlook ka lang na step. nag-try akong i-simulate yan at gumagana naman sa akin.

5.1. Specify condition, (without the double quotes.)
    5.1.1. Field 1 = "subject"
    5.1.2. Field 2 = "contains"
    5.1.3. Field 3 = "RECEIVED"
    5.2. Click "Add" button.
    5.3. Specify Actions.
    5.3.1. Field 1 = "move to folder"
    5.3.2. Field 2 = "READ MSGS"
    5.4. Click "Add Action" button.
    5.5. Click "OK" button.

  • i did the test in notes client 6.5.

i'm assuming that you were able to save that rule properly. meaning nakikita mo sa view columns yung:

column 1 - "WHEN Subject contains RECEIVED"
column 2 - "THEN move to folder READ MSGS"

so 3 na lang ang naiisip kong pwede mong gawin. remember to send test emails after trying each of the three. i'm hoping na hindi ka na umabot sa step 3 at malamang mainis ka na sa Notes and Domino pag nakarating ka dyan.

    1. delete the said rule then recreate it again.
    2. kung ayaw pa rin, select mo lahat ng rules mo dyan sa rules folder then click the "Disable" button. Afterwards click the "Enable" button.
    3. kung ayaw pa rin, kausapin mo na yung Domino Admin nyo. 2 pwede mong ipagawa:
    3.1. baka makuha sa simpleng restart ng server yang problema mo, or;
3.2. ipacheck mo yung server document para sa "server access" portion ng "security" tab. under ng "server access", ipa-check mo na kasama ka sa "allowed to use monitors" field, (kundi man '*' yung nakalagay dun,) or kung di ka kasama sa "not allowed to use monitors" na field. kung wala ka sa "allowed" or nasa "not allowed" list ka, yun na ang cause nun.

matagal nang maraming nakaka-encounter nito actually, (since R5 i think.) basahin mo yung link na ito kung gusto mo maintindihan yung nature ng problem na yan...

    hope that helps.
  • clarifications lang po...

    1. one more thing to look for sa rules view is dapat may icon na check mark na color green. pag meron nito ibig sabihin properly enabled yung rule.

    2. me kulang yung step 2 sa itaas...

"kung ayaw pa rin, select mo lahat ng rules mo dyan sa rules folder then click the "Disable" button. Afterwards select mo ulit lahat ng rules then click the "Enable" button."
  • ung iba ko n rules gumagana. i just want to clarify also n ung tinutukoy ko n msgs ay ung return receipts. Those msgs always contain the subject "RECEIVED:<subject title>". Now my question is eto bang uri ng mga msgs n ito ay pede gawan ng rule?
  • OT:

    thanx
  • baka tamad lang yung it namin, saka medyo hirap mag english, french kasi...

    thanx
  • sana may mag magandang loob na gumawa ng step by step procedure kung pano gawain to sa lotus notes (idiot friendly steps) :)

kahit sana yahoo pr hotmail ang sample...
  • pwede ba sa lotus ma receive ung mga mails mo from yahoo web mail?
  • up

click the second tab -- yung may image ng triangle. then sa list ng fields hanapin mo yung "Form" and "Subject" sa left. there are two things na naiisip kong pwdeng mangyari:

    1. Walang "Subject" field. in that case try mo i-change yung condition ng rule para ma-check yung tamang field name. or

  • @popoi: may na-overlook ako dun sa latest response mo. return receipts nga pala yan so they are different from memo documents. di pwede i-set yung form name na isa sa criteria ng mga rules so kung may any other unique string ka sa subject mo, (or on any other criteria na pwedeng i-set sa rules,) hindi mo pwedeng ma-filter yan.

as per checking with the notes mail's codes, kaya ka nakakakita ng "RECEIVED" na string sa inbox mo is not because may "RECEIVED" talagang ina-append yung subject column ng inbox kapag return receipt yung form. meaning kapag may nakita kang "RECEIVED: FYI" sa return receipt email mo, ibig sabihin nun "FYI" lang talaga yung subject.

para rin akong walang naitulong a. hehehehe...
  • correction lang: that's "so unless may any other unique..." hindi "so kung may any other unique..."
  • para rin akong walang naitulong a. hehehehe...

natawa ko bigla hehe. no sir malaki naitulong mo atleast now i know n d pwedeng lgyan ng rule ung mga return receipts. d pla na append ung word n "RECEIVED:" sa mismong subject nung memo. great learning for this day. salamat po!

Before trying out anything below, make sure you have the following info, (me examples na dyan:)

pop or imap: "pop.example.com" or "imap.example.com"
    smtp: "smtp.example.com"
    user name: "johndoe@example.com"
    password: "yourpasswordgoeshere"

Kung hindi pa na-se-setup yung notes client, you can follow these instructions:

    http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg27002933

Kung me setup na yan, you can go to the Notes Client help file and from the contents, click Getting Connected -> Connecting to an Internet mail server then mamili ka dun kung through LAN, cable or DSL yung access mo or through a phone line. More information can be found on the "Creating or editing Internet mail accounts manually" help document too.

or same sya ng email address dapat?

    thanx..

    and
    smtp."servername".com

    sorry... noob
  • @phey: ayos lang.

yung account name from the example above, it's either "johndoe" or "johndoe@example.com"

yung pag-set ng imap (or pop) and smtp, me isang step sa configuration na magtatanong syo tungkol dyan.

kung hindi, pwde mong manually i-set up yan. medyo marami ka nga lang kelangang kalikutin dyan pag manual, (error-prone pa.) before doing so, make sure na gumawa ka ng panibagong connection document para hindi ma-apektuhan yung current setup mo.

anyway follow these steps, (straight from the help file,) kapag manual. nasa step 6 yan yung pag-set ng smtp and imap (or pop)
