DOS 6.22 didn't come with built-in CD support. you'll have to specify a .SYS driver file for the CD-ROM drive/device in the CONFIG.SYS, and you'll have to run the MSCDEX.EXE (Microsoft CD Extensions) TSR program for you to be able to read CDs (ISO9660) in that ancient operating system.

to the thread starter, do you really have to use MS-DOS 6.22?
try FreeDOS instead: http://www.freedos.org/
this one supports newer hardware/CPUs and has better device driver support. i'm sure you'll be more successful with this than with that ancient OS.

Use Hirens BootCD or Ultimate BootCD, it has tons of DOS applications, tools that can access FAT or NTFS partitions.

Hindi supported ng XP mo ang DOS at 16 bit applications. Wala sa filesystem yun.
