  mga sir, normal lang po ba na uminit yung T-connector ng Magsafe 2 ng MBP RD 13" (Early 2015)?
  
  me times kasi na sobrang init na pwede kang mapaso pero pag chinarge ko naman ng naka-off yung MBP, ok naman. nde ko tuloy alam kung me issue yung charger.
  
  
  
  
  also, meron na ba naka-try ng Transcend JetDrive? If yes, kamusta naman yung performance nya? Same lang ba sya ng mga SD card?

  ^^ just an update on the issue
  
  using the same charger (Magsafe 2 60W) on the MBP RD 15", less than 10 minutes sobrang init yung T-connector. literally kang mapapaso kung hahawakan mo sya ng more than 15 seconds.
  
  so ang ginawa ko is ni-try ko ung original charger (Magsafe 2 60W) ni MBP RD15" just for comparison. It doesn't heat up like dun sa charger ni MBP RD 13". Nung ginamit ko yung charger ni MBP RD 15" sa 13", nde rin umiinit so ang issue is nasa charger.
  
  Weird is that matanggal ng nakatengga 'tong MBP Rd 13" pati yung charger nya and naka-tabi lang sya sa drawer.

  Using the same unit, hindi naman nakakapaso yun saken. though madalas ko linisin yun mga contacts.
  Regarding sa Jetdrive, ok naman siya. Occasionally, nadi-disconnect siya bigla - lalo na when waking up from sleep then connected sa external display. Not a big issue, nakakairita lang minsan.

  if im not mistaken dapat yung email address mo is with .edu
  yun lang ang basis ng students discounts as far as i know.
  
  I was trying to buy din sana using this method, kaso wala akong kakilala na pwede mahiraman ng email.

  I've bought a few stuff from the Apple Store (both online and retail shop) with student discount. Kailangan 'yung educational institution mo kasali sa education program nila.
  
  These days, student of life na ako, I just buy with my employee discount (gov't slave kasi ako).

  I've been using Boom3D since MBP 2015 and now 2020, it works very well especially when connected to a speaker or airpods. My advice lang is don't use your Mac's speaker when using it. I'm seeing crackling issues of the speaker resulted from using this.

  ^found it on reddit. And it has an obvious impact since it will really make your speaker louder.

  ^^ yeah. i already read it but ever since I had it installed on my MBP RD sometime around 2015, i had Boom 2 installed and Boom 3D afterwards. For the past 4 years, I didn't experience any issue until later part of 2018. The speaker did crackle a but I'm not sure if it was Boom 3D that caused it because the laptop fell on the speaker side. Worst part is that sometime in 2019, the laptop fell again on it's side and nasira yung display. What rotten luck.

  I’ve just installed a second SSD on one of my legacy machines, by removing my SuperDrive and using a caddy.
  
  Fresh installed Catalina 10.15.6 and migrated files from the smaller SSD to the bigger one, but both Canary and the normal version of Chrome now doesn’t work. Tried to uninstall/reinstall and repaired the disk, but still a no go. Any suggestions please?

  Restoring it from TimeMachine and restarting, seems to have resolved it.

  Malas, balak kong palitan yung thermal paste nung mid 2015 macbook pro 15 inch. Kasi medyo maiinit niya at magfofour years na. So namile ako kanina ng P5, T5 at thermal paste. Since wala akong mabileng T5 or P5 screw na individual, meaning kailangan mong bilhin ng isang set. Dalawang set ng screws yung binile ko kasi yung P5 ay nasa isang set at yung T5 ay may seperate din. So dalawang set ang binile ko for a total of 1,598 pesos. Plus 175 pesos na thermal paste. so nasa 1,773 pesos yung nagastos ko.
  
  So eto na, binuksan ko na yung bottom case at so far okay naman, then tinanggal ko yung screw nung heat sink at screws ng CPU gamit ang T5 screw. Pero pagdating sa 4 screw ng GPU ay duon ako na stuck, nung unang tingin ko ay mukang hindi siya T5 screw, pero sinubukan ko pading tanggalin dahil iyun yung nasa instruction, pero ayaw talaga, ayaw kumagat, walang grip. At sobrang higpit ng screw, parang nilagyan yata ng mighty band nung nag-assemble nung laptop. Napansin ko din na may black paint yung screw, parang black coating na iniapply, kaso lang parang napadami yung paglalagay kaya natakpan na yung mismong bukas nung screw head.
  
  Then tiningnan ko ng maigi at mukang hindi siya T5, para palpak yung pagkakalagay ng screw, dahil hindi sila pare pareho ng hugis, so yung 4 screws ng heatsink ng GPU ay parang hindi maayos yung pagkakahubog ng butas nung screw. At sobrang higpit niya, nagstick pading ako sa T5 screw driver dahil iyun yung nasa youtube instruction at video. Pero ang higpit talaga niya. at nagstripped na yung screw niya, meaning wala nang grip. So yeah, unsuccess yung thermal paste replacement ko.
  
  Nakakabadtrip lang dahil 1,773 pesos ang ginastos ko sa mga screw driver. Balikan ko mamaya at subukan ko gamit ang rubber band technique sa pag-alis ng stripped screw.
  
  Update:
  Ala, no effect. Not sure kung pinakelaman iyun nung service center. Kasi 1 year ago ay 2 times kong dinala iyun sa certified service center for swollen battery and SSD issue. Not sure kung pinakelaman nila yung 4 screws na iyun. Kasi sobrang higpit talaga, parang nilagyan ng mighty band.
  
  Ang last solution ko nalang ay lalagyan ko ng mighty band yung screw at screwdriver para magkaroon ng grip.

  ^ kung hindi na stock screw yan and tingin mo naka mighty bond, malamang hindi mo mababalik ng maayos 'yan unless gamitan mo rin ng mighty bond. mukhang na loose tread nila 'yan kaya ganyan 'yan.

  me nabasa ako na pwede mo gamitin rubber band in between the screw and the P5/T5 .. see if that helps
