Question lang po na upgrade na ba talaga ni pldt ang mga plan, like yung samin coppet plan 1995 8 mbps, anong speed nakaya sya pg na upgrade my nabasa lng po ako sa ibng group. Thanks

plan 1995 was probably renamed to plan 2899 too (speed bump from 8mbps to 10mbps?)
paano naman yung plan 1699 (formerly named plan 999)? magiging 6 or 7 mbps man lang sana?

plan 1995 ako 2,600 lng binabayaran ko every month kasama na landline nyan. same speed parin 8mbps nakukuha ko. cguro wala ng speed increase sa old subscriber. yung mga bagong price ng plan sa mga new subscriber lng yan.

I guess wala. kasi 2600 lang binabayaran natin. Unless siguro magpa upgrade tayo sa plan 2899. which isn't bad kasi +300 for a 2mbps additional. Yan siguro talaga plan ng PLDT sa ganyan scheme para dagdagan montlhly natin ng 300 hehehe

tapos bagong lockin ulit and hindi makakalipat ng fiber pag available na at wala pa din plan to decommission copper cabinets.

give an option to existing 1995 subs to switch to 2899 without changing lockin gatas na gatas sila compared sa 1899 or 2899

ni report ko sa pldt yung problema sa port forwarding (CGNAT) tapos may dumating ditong technician pinaltan ng bagong modem yung 4yr old h5004n modem namin wala daw fee kaya pumayag na ko. tinry ko mag port forwarding ayaw prin lel. well atleast maganda yung pinalit na modem.

pag nag upgrade sa 10mbps ang problema naman ay babagsak ang SNR at line attenuation kaya hanggang 8mbps lang kaya ng line namin. bakit pala ayaw gumana ang speedtest.net na beta ayaw tumuloy

sa akin 8mbps ang SNR ko 8.5db minsan nababa ng 7.2db buti di nag didisconnect dahil gumagamit ako ng sinaunang PLDT modem na kaya niyang i handle ang mababang SNR, kaya malabo na patulan ko yan 10mbps upgrade

HAYS sawa na ako sa internet dito sa pinas. may capping narin pati yung globe kong tig 1.5k
Any feedback sa PLAN 1299 ng PLDT? Wala bang cap to? Siguro mas okay na yung 3mbps kesa sa 10 mbps na may 150 gb lang na data allowance
And okay naman po bang mag apply sa online , mabilis naman po ba?

Malala na ngayon ang Globo. 0.25 mbps once na throttle down ka.
So kahit LTE pa yon 32mbps. Useless naman once na throlle ka
So I'll be fine with 3mbps DSL rather than that.
Mabilis lang naman mag apply kahit online no although nag apply na ako dati dito kaso yung facility availabality problema ko dahil madalas walang slot rito

depends on what plan 1299 you are talking about
dsl 1299 = 3mbps, no cap. We should probably call it 1299-3
dsl 1299 = 10 mbps, 100 gig per month. Old name was dsl 1299 speedster but PLDT probably wanted to confuse us so it made the name the same as 1299-3. We probably should call it 1299-10

note: all pldt capped plans keso dsl, ultera or fibr, unlike globe have zero speed after the cap
I have fibr 1299, my sister has dsl 1299-3 and we both live in areas where the service is OK. Any problems usually get fixed within a few days even if we dont call pldt and complain. So from our own personal experience I recommend pldt uncapped plans as long as you dont live in an area with problems

We were on an unofficial plan for a several years before migrating to a regular Fibr plan. We applied for DSL but since our area was Fibr-ready PLDT offered to put fiber optic infrastructure instead. However our monthly fee was that for 3 Mbps DSL, until we applied for Telpad which increased the speed by an additional 0.5 Mbps for an additional monthly fee. I believe this is what's referred to as "DSL powered by Fibr" since it's a DSL plan but with fiber optic infra.
As time passed by, prices of PLDT's Fibr became cheaper and speeds became faster. But the DSL plan remained the same, with absolutely no speed increase. That's when we decided to migrate to 20 Mbps (PhP 1,899 monthly); our monthly fee for 3.5 Mbps was even more expensive than the 20 Mbps plan! The upgrade process was bloody though due to PLDT's extreme incompetence, I will not tell the story here but it's posted in the PLDT Fibr thread. It took a freaking 6 weeks to do a simple upgrade that should have only taken at most a week to do.

I don't think the 1,299 3 Mbps unofficial fiber plan makes any sense. Since your infrastructure is already FTTH, adding a little budget to reach 1,899 would increase speed tremendously from 3 to 20 Mbps (at the cost of only PhP 600/month).

this was a long time ago long before 1899 was introduced. Yes its only 600 pesos more (not including the extra fees for 36 months) and is bang for the buck, but 600 pesos a month is not an inconsequential extra expense if you have a limited budget

^There should be no fee for the installation when doing an upgrade on an existing fiber optic line, though the "modem" is an issue if it's gonna be replaced.

3615 kbps yung downstream sa dsl settings namin pero pag nag-speed test ako nasa 2mbps lang. 3 months na ata nung huling tawag ko sa 171 saka nung pumunta yung technician samin. Parang gusto ko ulit itawag to kasi hindi naman nila naayos noon, settings lang ang nagbago. Ano po ba ang dapat sabihin? Baka kasi papuntahin lang ulit yung technician na yun tapos sasabihin lang ulit na hanggang 2mbps lang talaga ang kaya ng linya namin at pasok naman daw yun sa 3mbps.

^baka nailipat kayo ng port lumayo..
walang sense yung lowest plan ng PLDT pang 2014 pa ung speed dapat above global average speed na yung lowest kaya huli ang Pilipinas mas marami PLDT na mabagal

Pag ganyan boss ireklamo mo ng ireklamo kulitin mo tas mag galit galitan ka. Ganyan ung akin 8mbps ako pero ung downstream ko is 6k lng so 4-5bmps lang ang speed test ko. Sbhin mo pa ayos sa end nila d na need ng tech visit kasi sa end nyo lng kaya ng ayusin yan. Tas sabhin mo ilang araw mo ng nirereklamo yan wala padin pinapaulit ulit lng ung observe your line ganyan. Tapos sabhin mo nag babayad kayo ng buo pero ung serbisyo nyo kalahati lng. Kunin mo ung name nung kausap mo and rest day sabhin mo pag walang nanyare ikaw hahanapin ko ha. Ganyan ginwa ko ayun omokey naman connection ko :)
