  Hi all,
  
  Recently got a new PLDT line for my new place. Initially I wanted a fibr connection but it's not available in my area yet. PLDT recommended to subscribe to their copper line. I am on plan 1299, but I wanted a faster plan. The installers told me that getting a faster plan is a waste because the 1299 plan was the best/maximum speed I can get.
  
  Are they telling me the truth? Here is my line's details:
  
  Up Stream 927 kbps
  Down Stream 3615 kbps
  Attenuation Down Stream 20
  Attenuation Up Stream 17
  Attainable Up Rate 1136 kbps
  Attainable Down Rate 23328 kbps
  SNR Margin Down Stream 28.6
  SNR Margin Up Stream 13.4

  ^price wise, I would get plans upto plan 1699 anything higher than that lugi ka if you compare pricing sa fiber plans. I think in plan 1800 you only get 40% speed of equivalent fiber plan. going higher than that gets worse hanggang sa naging 10% speed na lang compared to fiber equivalent plan.

  the sad state of pldt copper broadband lines. it's as if copper line subscribers as subsidizing the cost of fiber subscribers.

  Ganito na rin po ba ang details ng inyong account sa pldt? Dati kasi meron nakalagay sa baba na Regular Residential - Base plan.
  Nagpapa-upgrade kasi ako sa Plan 2899-10mbps baka kako naipaprocess na currently plan 5mbps,

  Hello, upgrade na account ko sa plan 2899-10mbps pero hindi pa upgraded ang speed profile ko sa modem. Tumawag na ako sa 172 para i-adjust.
  Ask ko lang ano ang dapat na speed profile ng downstream ko? Sana po may sumagot lalo na iyong naka plan 10mpbs. Salamat.

  Pag nag upgrade ako ng dsl plan halimbawa from 3mbps to 8mpbs may 2yr lock-in diba. Ang tanong ko ay pwede pa rin ba akong mag avail ng fiber w/ in the 2yr lock-in? Kasi baka ma trap nanaman ako sa pldt prison lel

  8mbps is phased out already.
  PLAN 2899 10mbps is next.
  
  Mixed experiences.
  Some were able to migrate to fiber(same plan) within lockin yung iba bawal.
  Pag upgrading to a higher plan generally okay lang.
  In your case you should aim for plan 3500 with "free" cignal and titanium treatment.
  
  Syempre pinaka safe pa din ang outside lockin wala silang harang sayo.

  Updated na iyong speed profile ko sa 10mbps. Ito settings:
  Upstream Speed -------------- 926 kbps
  Downstream Speed -------------- 12287 kbps
  SNR Margin Down Stream ------- 25.4
  SNR Margin Up Stream ------------ 7.0
  Attainable Up Rate ---------------- 1224 kbps
  Attainable Down Rate ----------- 27360 kbps
  
  Bumaba ang upstream ko sa 5mbps dati naka-set iyan sa 1120 kbps ngayon 926kbps. Kakaayos lang kasi ng technician na naka-assign sa area namin ang sabi ganyan lang daw talaga. Sayang ilang kbps nakaka 1mbps ako dyan sa upload. Ganyan din ba setting nyo sa upload. Salamat.

  mga around 7am bagsak yun speed sa nova kanina, pina enhance ko na lang sa 172 pero ok kaninang 4pm....

  Enhance, refresh, calibrate. It basically means to correct the speed limit on the PLDT side. Minsan kasi kahit tama yung nakukuha mong speed profile, say 10mbps plan ka at nakikita mo naman sa profile mo na 10mbps yung naka indicate pero consistent na 1.5 mbps lang nakukuha mo. It means naka limit sa side nila na 1.5mbps ka lang. You need to ask them to "refresh" your line para bumalik sa tama yung limit sa server side nila.

  Gaano katagal yung repair ng PLDT? 10 days na kami walang dial tone. Ang sabe samen naputol daw ng maynilad yung underground cable. Gaano katagal yung repair nila, 10 days na kami walang service...

  Question po. Naibridge ko ang prolink modem/router(provided by pldt) sa tp-link archer c9. Paano ko maaaccess ang modem ni pldt? Salamat po.

  Valenzuela Area naman ako. Na-magic yung 10mbps ko to 2mbps bigla.
  
  Mukhang malaki ang coverage area ng sira nila.

  Sobrang frustrating. Napaka bagal ng net. Lower than 2mbps nakukuha ko. Lag sa games. Browsing very slow. Something happened after I lost my internet access 2 days ago (tapos bumalik after 30mins)
