Do you want to improve the wifi & LAN performance of your DSL connection to maximize your Mbps?
Buy a 3rd party wifi router, like the TP-Link Archer AX50 AX3000 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router, and request for "bridge mode" for your fiber modem from your ISP.
This offloads the NAT, wifi & LAN functions of the modem/ONU onto the 3rd party wifi router. -
Your ISP, telco or carrier does not want you to do are the following after contract is done
- Mobile Number Portability (MNP) to the rival network
- Downgrade to the same Mbps they increased your plan from
- Terminate service
- Switch service
When you indicate any of these things you can get a bette deal for less money.
This is ideal with subscribers who pay be deadline. -

Still vdsl dahil pahirapan daw mag migrate pag sa Condo ang sabi and lahat papalitan yata..
hmmm sana makaexperience na din ng true fiber .. although fiber ready naman sa place...

how about Xiaomi Wireless Router AX1800 ? seems affordable din kasi lalo na wifi 6 na yata price at 2900 from lazada -
dati kami kA asenso 1888 since 2014 then namigrate sa fiber noong 2021. malaki po ba ang difference kun iupgrade itong plan namin sa plan 1999 nila, halos 100 lng diperensya.

Kung pwede lang sa amin kukunin namin yung Plan 1999 -
pero nisearch ko plan 2099 lng nakapost upto 100mbps yung plan whereas sa text nila 200mbps

Ayus na ayus to eto gamit ko. Naka WIFI6 ako mag games, 200ms ang ping. Nainis ako, inayus ko yung ethernet ko, naglagay ako ng bagong CAT6e cable para linya talaga, 200ms parin ping ko, anak ng tinapang PLDT to.

sometimes it is better to chose multiple servers then parang olympics, yung tipong may 5 judges, highest and lowest score ignore, then the middle 3 i average mo

5-10 concurrent cellphone users.
May instance kasi na some connected gears is "No Internet". So pinag-iisipan ko upgrade ung router with either of the two:
1. Asus TUF AX 3000 - 7k-8k
2. Asus RT-AX1800S - 5k-6k yata.
Any suggestion? Naisip ko tanong muna sa forums baka mag-aksaya lang kasi ng pera. haha

Good day po! Inquiring po sana kasi i am planning to change ISP from SkyFiber to PLDT Broadband. How reliable po ung PLDT? Parallel pa rin po ba ung upload/download speed sa PLDT? Sa Sky po kasi limited to 15mbps ung upload. Pasay area po ako, Nichols/CAA. Salamat po.

I live in a condominium and we only have copper lines, i have upgraded our plan to Fibr Plus 1899 which is 100mbps. I was told that copper lines (vDSL) can handle 100mbps (80-90 mbps) which i confirmed with PLDT Technicians who work at other units in the condo. I am only getting 30-40mbps based on speedtests which is my last PLDT plan
The problem is I can't reach the 80-90mbps, 2 technicians worked on my case. they changed the modem, the telephone cable, and the splitter and they also fixed the configuration on their side so I think they have already exhausted all their options. Now they have told me that we need to do a re-wiring of the copper lines, meaning I have to buy a new set of cat 6 copper cables and hire other service contractors to install it.
I just want to know if someone experienced this kind of problem and maybe there are other options that I can do because, upon initial research, it is going to cost a lot.
PS: talked to after sales department and they already told me that my account is now fully migrated to Fibr Plus Plan 1899 -

On one of my units, PLDT migrated to VDSL, business center showed me it's only capable of 70mbps, They've tried all sorts of settings, but I settled with 50mbps up/down.
We tried setting it up to 100mbps, but the upload suffered, which is important for me.
If you don't mind, can you DM me what condo you reside in? I'm thinking if I should revisit PLDT maybe I can finally get 100mbps at least in my unit.

Nag report na ako 3x sa PLDT with 3 different ticket# regarding slow connection and high latency every 8pm to 11pm pero kinoclose lang ng tech nila everytime yung ticket. Any ideas papano pa ma-escalate eto?

what brand of cable you used?
if you wanna be sure na ballers yung cabling mo, use the belden brand cable that is shielded, mahal yan, nasa 6-8k for 100meters, but its pure copper so... wala na dapat idadahilan yung mga technician dyan regarding the dropwire you used.
also another option is basically just use a poe injector and splitter and have the modem installed near the distribution box ng ISP nyo dyan sa condo and buy a PoE splitter and injector, repurpose that cat6 cable you have and crimp it with rj45 connector. yan lang ginawa ng isang friend ko na sa condo din nakatira and yung SNR nya sa kwarto nya is very high that it can only handshake at DSL speeds, pero ok na ok sya pag naka rekta yung vdsl modem sa distribution box ng isp.

mga sir pa-check nmn po vdsl connection ko (lately madalas ma-dc, wla nmn problema sa landline kaka-ayos lng few days ago).

kakapalit lang ng pldt tech sa pldt modem namin. baudtec yung modem tapos pinalitan nila ng prolink kasi daw luma na daw kaya posible nagnadidisconnect ang internet. nagmomonitor ako ngayon kung mapuputol pa at sinabi ko din sa tech na need ayusin ang modem profile kasi dati vdsl2 annexb ngayon vdsl2 annexa. napapansin ko kasi bumagal ang speed ko sa bagong modem profile.

Good day mga ka TPC, ask ko lang kung meron kayong ibang settings for Pldt Modem Huawei HG8145v5, na hard reset ko kasi yung modem ko, naibalik ko na yung net, pero di ko maibalik yung voice settings, ayaw gumana yung nasa youtube tutorial na VOIP basic configuration, baka may iba kauong config dyan na pwede mashare at matry. salamat mga master!
