ang gusto ko kasi sa sony and lg maganda maghandle ng 24p content (typical movie). sa TCL parang walang judder / stutter handling sa fast or camera panning scenes based sa test ko with c6.
although maganda talaga kulay and brightness ng C6 pero medyo motion sensitive kasi ako.
Are there any backlight options for P8US model? Napapansin ko dumidilim siya kapag kunwari meron white text and black background. Dynamic backlight does not seem to work. I also tried yung dynamic contrast pati microdimming pero ganun parin

none. meron lang sya 24p judder removal sa settings > motion > on/off. this option reduces the brightness though. even the p8s or c6 dont have motion interpolation.
this is the reason na 55 lang kinuha ko kasi pag 65 na gusto ko may advanced motion handling based sa distance ko from the screen.
If you want to test 60fps HDR content with YouTube, download niyo lang yung Smart Youtube TV. You have to sideload the app dun sa TV. No need to buy Roku for 4k HDR YouTube content. You just have to adjust the Quality settings during video playback. Lalabas naman yung "HDR10" sa upper left kapag true HDR yung content.
Share ko lang rin 2-week experience ko sa TCL 50P8US. Medyo badtrip ako kasi yung Dynamic Backlight di gumagana. Nag didimming siya mag-isa kapag may mga scenes na may white text with black background. This problem persists kahit sa HDMI input. Flickering pa minsan dahil dun (Pero sa HDR content okay naman siya). Also, parang walang judder reduction bukod dun sa LED Motion Clear na parang di naman gumagana. May mga konting apps rin na di pwede tanggalin like Eros.
Pero maliban dun sa mga sinabi ko, very okay siyang TV. Maganda yung picture quality niya. Maganda rin HDR content handling (except sa judder reduction). I can play my Nintendo Switch nicely without any problems. Steam Link also works well so you can stream games from PC to TV. Solid rin kapag nanunuod ng movies with HDR and Dolby audio support.
Gusto ko i-try next time mag HDR gaming from PC to TV pero wala pa kong mahabang HDMI cable. hehe

Thanks po sa clarification. Magkakaiba pa po ba yung judder reduction, motion smoothing, at motion interpolation? Or same lang? Nasanay kasi ako sa ClearMotion ng Samsung, masarap sa mata though dami nagsasabi ng iba pangit daw.

Motion interpolation / smoothing is soap opera effect. Judder are usually frame skips for 24p content (or too much interpolation).
Ok lang sakin yung motion interpolation kung walang ghosting and / or judder during fast scenes. Not many TVs can achieve both. If you dont see both then good for you.

Movie preset din gamit ko. Nakapatay rin yung mga extra effects like microdimming, dynamic contrast, etc. Can you try kung gumagana yung Dynamic Backlight mo? Sakin kasi walang nangyayari either sa ECO or sa Brightness+ or kahit sa OFF.
So ngayon tina-try ko siyang i-test para mapinpoint kung san siya nagloloko.
Kakatry ko lang ngayon sa Nintendo Switch sa Dead Cells na game. May loading screen siya na all black na may icon sa lower right. Anyway, dun rin nakikita ko na nagdidim parin siya. I'm using Game mode.
Second try ko sa Netflix using "Street Food" na documentary. Sa part na after nung Netflix logo, yung may text na "A Netflix Original Documentary Series" nag didim yung screen. Movie preset gamit ko dito.
I would like to note pala na before ko pala itry yung sa game ko, I tried Netflix using the same documentary. Sa first try, di na siya nagdidim sa part na yun. Kaso after ko i-close netflix then switch input sa HDMI then buksan yun game, bumalik yung problem sa Netflix. Not sure kung ano nangyari.

like i mentioned wala ako issue with auto dimming. on the other end gumagana naman yung ECO function and dun sya nag auto dimming. Sa brightness+ may auto dimming din pero priority sa high yung backlight. However im using TCL A8 and I believe yours is P8.
Regarding judder, only very few TVs can handle this. Some reduce judder by smoothing / interpolating but introduce blur / ghosting. I suggest you follow the recommended TV distance from rtings.com to minimize this.

I use lcd cleaner. Yung laptop cleaning kit na free sa office namin. Effective naman sya. Same item na available sa cdr king at miniso/mumuso.

Happy ang wife(watching Kadenang Ginto) at kids(Netflix at YT). Hindi ko pa na try sa 4k movies kase 720p lang ang files ko.
Actually hinahanap ko nga yung presyong P32.4k na unang nabanggit ni sir gigshoho. Nadismaya ako sa presyo ni SMAC sa Mega na P35,995. Buti nag suggest si esmi na dumaan kami sa An**n's. Ayun, sinuwerte na naibigay ng ganun presyo. Wag ka na manghinayang sa P1.8k bro. Basta happy naman si esmi at anak mo.
