I have a TCL C6 - may naka experience ba sa inyo na nag rereset lage ung Timezone for the date/time tuwing pag on? maski naka standby naman cya
I have a 50P8US and same same. Pet peeve ko yan.
Ugghhh nakaka OC tlga lalo na pag nag Chromecast screensaver -
just bought 55P8S. so far happy with it. :)

Yung update na ginawa niya is through USB. He downloaded the TCL AU firmware for P8M if I'm not mistaken. -
Finally napagana ko na yung 5.1 over ARC. Somehow it worked after I upgraded the firmware.
For those who have receivers with ARC:
- Update your TV software to the latest version
- make sure that ARC and HDMI control is turned ON in your receiver
- Under settings-input (in the main menu) of the TV at the upper right, go to devices and make sure that all CEC options are turned to ON.
- Turn on T-LINK, make sure all options are set to ON
- Set your AV receiver source to TV/ARC
- Go to the settings button on your remote, under sound, select "advanced settings"
- For digital audio, PASS THROUGH should now appear instead of just AUTO and PCM, select PASS THROUGH
- On your AV receiver, turn pro-logic off and while playing, toggle surround mode until you reach Dolby Digital + (yun lang ang supported ng TCL, no ATMOS, no DTS, no Dolby Tru HD+).
- Now for tricky part to accept all settings and sync the volume button with the receiver, HOLD DOWN the TV remote power button until it prompts for a full shutdown. Select shutdown.
- Power TV back on then wait until your receiver also turns on (should turn on once the pre-boot sequence completes)
- test your volume buttons on the TV remote, it should now sync and the display at the TV shows (AV sys) with no volume level, only + and -. Audio now should only output to your AV receiver.
- Go to netflix. Select a good movie. Under audio and subtitles, you should now see English 5.1 as one of the choices.
- Test by playing the movie and check for dialogue and surround separation.

One more thing to note - once output audio is already set to ARC, the TV speakers are turned off. Toggling the volume control on the TV remote adjusts the receiver's volume. No need for 2 remotes. TV also switches the receiver on and off when it turns on and off.

Pa help po. Yung 55P8SUS ay nag black yung screen pero may sound naman. Naririnig ko pa din nagpe-play ang Netflix pero blank screen lang. Tumatawag ako sa TCL support hotline pero wala sumasagot.

Autoshutdown pag Netflix, Youtube, Cast, and HDMI to laptop.
Minsan kahit sa TV source lang nagaautomatic shutdown.

Soundoff na lang kung sakali meron na masbagong firmware para sa C6 natin. Tagal na, Android 8 pa rin tayo. -

Naka-off po ang sleep/inactivity timer settings ng tv. Kahit simpleng pagbrowse lang sa Netflix, magaautomatic shutdown yung unit. -
@aegeanral Pa-warranty claim nyo na yan. hindi yan normal behavior. Pero suggest ko i-video nyo via cellphone yun pag-shutdown para may ipakita kayo sa technician pag-dating. Siguro mga 3 videos.

Is TCL C6US still a good choice today? Tagal ko na kasi gusto bilhin to pero now lang na allow ng budget. (Mas mura na kasi compare to before).
Now im gauging between the two.
1. TCL 55C6US (2018 model i think)
2. LG 55UM7500 (2019 model)
I know this is a TCL thread pero baka may important inputs kayo.
Main use will be really for streaming (netflix) and downloaded movies though karamihan sa library ko is still at 1080p.
1. Which has better display? Will be using it on a moderately lit room (sala).
2. Which handles better upscaling?
3. Viewing angles will might be up to 45degs.
Palabas narin dito ang C8 but for sure price will be around 45k ulit.

Features wise, I would go for C6. I've tried LG before...But Android TV for the Win. Very flexible.

P8S is a higher variant. Yung P8US ang kapareho ng A8US. Exclusive kasi sa Abenson yung A8 na model. Not sure lang kung may A8S na model dun.
