***Sky Broadband Thread (PIRACY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED)

  • @prince
4.5 of of 10

    @Learning_mode I know right ( ?° ?? ?°)
  • @everyone

  • @raffydooo Same issue here. It's how the router distributes traffic to multiple devices. For some reason, affected ang p2p. I resolved it by not using p2p client at all. Haha.

    Edit: typo

    bakit kaya?
  • @raffydooo gaano ka na katagal sa sky? And try mo iclick yung file (kasi by default folder siya), then hanapin mo yung file na gusto mo idownload, click download button then non-secure download.

Kahit papano may good news naman.

  • @prnceichiro

    Dapat pala isa-isa ko sila iclick? Tama ba?

    Nagstart lang subscription ko last 19 December 2015. :)
  • As far as I know nakahybrid fiber cable ang facility hangang sa main terminal ng let's say village or building. From there on last mile implementation na sila ng pure coax lang hence we can get 50Mbps if pure coax lang kasi ang implementation ni Sky di kaya ang ganyan speeds much like the old copper of dsl than can only provide limited speed.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_fibre-coaxial

    Sky used to offer 200Mbps because of their hyrid fiber-coax implementation. Not sure kung bakit sila tumigil.

  • samin po fiber optic ang backbone pero wala po sila chance mag offer ng 100mbps since ang fiber po ng sky is hanggang backbone lang wala daw sila chance na gawing fiber to the home / FTTH, max cap po ng cable bandwidth daw nila is 50+mbps

    @theduh
    magastos po kasi un multi modems po gagamitin tapos cocombine ng router.. same din ng PLDT IGATE copper dati multi copper lines...

  • @Learning_mode

    Sana... Pero mas importante sakin maging stable yung connection at maging symmetrical ang UL/DL.. Aanhin ba natin ang 100Mbps kung hindi naman stable... Ok na rin naman 50 eh.. :)

    @gybersantos

    Filinvest 2 QC...

    @prnceichiro

    50Mbps... Ang sabi sakin para daw yun sa 16 & 50Mbps plan...

    That said, the new DOCSIS 3.1-based service is significant, because it works with the coaxial-fiber cable infrastructure already in place. It does require a DOCSIS 3.1-compatible cable modem in the subscriber’s home.

  • Hi guys Saan kayo nag APPLY? Website or sa business center nila? San mas mabilis mag apply? tska ilang days or weeks bago nag survey at kinabitan? Salamat! tia
  • @grexk
    by chance i mean that they wont mainly of the cost, namamahalan nga daw sila sa cisco docsis 3 router hehe!

    @johnmendoza
    as for my experience sa AGENT, nag txt lang ako sa agent tapos kinabukasan install na..

  • pumunta dito yung service from Sky, tama ba yung sinuggest nila na irequest ko na papalitan yung modem from Arris to Cisco?

    mag-1 month palang yung Sky broadband ko, and Arris yung binigay saken.
  • ^
    Arris gamit ko simula Nov, never had problems except when first setting it up with my router.
  • @trebire,

    sir, if magrequest ka magpapalit ng router ipa note mo sa request niyo sir na class a (term ng sky sa bnew) na modem dalihin. kasi madalas class b (term nila sa refurbished) dala nila pamalit. naka plastic wrap yung class b.
  • Longtime Destiny internet subscriber here, we were migrated over to Sky last December as they were shutting down the former Destiny cable lines in our area. "upgraded" to the 3Mbps plan of Sky, it's been doing well so far and haven't experienced any major slowdowns during peak hour.

    @desvillar:

    DOCSIS 3.0 is actually capable of 340 Mbps (maximum) and is being offered by cable operators in other countries like Rogers in Canada for 100 and 250Mbps: <click here for link> In fact, by upgrading to DOCSIS 3.1 modems, Sky can even offer gigabit service like on Rogers in Canada and Comcast in the USA

    by chance i mean that they wont mainly of the cost, namamahalan nga daw sila sa cisco docsis 3 router hehe!

    If cost is a concern, Sky should get the likes of Huawei to supply cheap(er) modems: <click here for link> ;-)

  • @karlkalabaaaw - sir kamusta p2p download speed mo? Just got my 50mbps installed today.

Steam games? here you go 6MB/s. :D hahaha
