    Palpitation? Anyway, salamat. I’ll try to avoid coffee for now as you suggested. Pero daming cyclists ang nagkakape after a ride. Minsan yan din kinakain ko pre-ride, oatmeal and banana tsaka peanut butter sandwich. Palagi ako may bananas na dala, hindi nga lang saba. Kung wala bumibili na lang ako along the way. Buko juice ok naman siguro ano? Madalas ako maghanap nyan after a ride. Yung tunay na buko juice.

    Si @evincar yung may nararamdamang pain. Yung sa kin, nung naka mtb pa ako, and pag matagal lang akong hindi nakaka-ride, either pulikat or yung pain sa side ng knees. Pero minsan after a day’s rest, kaya ko i-ride ulit same route without pain o pulikat, minsan may konting pain pa pero parang muscle pain lang ang dating na tipong habang tumatagal ang ride, nawawala o di mo na pansin. Parang kinakalawang at naninibago lang ulit ang katawan siguro. Sa rb di ko pa naman nararanasan yung pain sa side ng knees. Parang pupulikatin lang pag matagal di naka ride.

  • ^ Matindi yung pulikat magkabilang hita,sabay. Inabot na ako nyan, hehe. Mahirap siguro kung pulikatin ka habang naka clipless.

    About nutrition to each his own yan, currently I'm doing LowCarbIntermittentFasting and i do bike to work everyday yung pag out ko ng umaga ng 5am power pa rin yan eventhough naka fasting na ako ng 9 hours Lalo na pag nasa C5 na at yung uphill pa pineda, unli water lang and 2 shots of black coffee during the shift..

    Weekends

    5 hard boiled eggs + coffee for breakfast , during the ride water..water..water...baon chocolates for sugar rush..

    Ride na tayo mga IDOL meet and greet miske hanggang bugarin or windmill lang ;)

  • ^ayos yan @ralph09 I've been keto since late 2016 to present. Madali magpapayat ang low carb plus endurance activities. Whole 2017 I was racing keto and fasted it can be done. Now a bit wiser I do things a bit different on raceday compared to all other days with regards to nutrition.

    caffeine/coffee - kailangan pa ba pagusapan yan. It's just coffee. If you get palpitations/heart racing/jittery because of it then you know what to do. Pero on race day a gu gel w/ caffeine is a lifesaver and can mean having completed your predicted performance or just mehh.

  • Bike maintenance. For light cleaning, safe ba gamitin ang rubbing alcohol? Punas punas lang ng rag na may alcohol sa chainrings, cogs, exterior ng chain? Di ba makakasama? Sa disc rotors ng mtb ko lang ginagamit ang alcohol, pero may nabasa ako na ginamit ito sa chain. Na-curious ako kung pwede at safe nga.

  • Hindi naman siguro. Nag-e-evaporate naman kasi agad ang alcohol, kaya by the time na maglalagay ka na ng lube, tuyo na sya. And wala naman rin yatang naiiwang residue ang alcohol. Ti-nry ko kanina lang. Mas shiny yung chain compared sa kung dry rag lang. Tapos ginamitan ko ng dry toothbrush yung inner part ng chain bago ako nag apply ng lube. Tingnan natin tomorrow ano epekto.

    Every year ata may iba't ibang update or study sa limit ng eggs per day and effects nito. Dati sabi 2 lang daw dahil sa mataas ang cholesterol. Pero more recently ok lang daw kahit madami. Based on more recent studies ok lang 5 eggs. Ako I would prefer hard boiled than fried.

    On using alcohol to clean your bike, hindi ba masyado matapang ang alcohol for the bike parts? Might cause corrosion. To be on the safe side use what GCN and GTN suggests when cleaning you bike, diluted dish washing liquid. Tapos rinse throughly, dry with cloth and lube the needed parts.
  • Hindi naman sana mag cause ng corrosion, na try ko pa naman. Sa exterior lang, hindi sa rollers. Punas punas lang, not as a substitute sa degreaser. Anyway, observe ko na lang. Pero sa disc brake ng mtb , palagi ko pinupunasan ng cotton balls na may alcohol with no bad effects.

    May strava ba tipidpc road, cyclo...?

    Parang mahirap maghanap ng road compatible crankset na 32T-28T. Yung best option mo siguro is look for gravel cranksets na 46T-30T like FSA Vero or Shimano GRX or look for a compatible 30T chainring para sa low-end.

    Hindi ako masyado familiar sa BB compatibility but I think may nabibili na BB30 adapters. So siguro make sure may BB30 adapter available before buying the crankset.

    It might be possible to run an MTB drivetrain with your setup para super low ang gears, pero mas madami ka pag-iisipan na compatibility issues. Especially with the Shimano 105 road shifters na 11-speed. This article is a good read kung ano yung options mo to get lower gearing: <click here for link>

  • May cyclocross and gravel frames si Ave Maldea may nakita ako nag-pagawa na. Pwede din i-copy ang ibang frameset :-)
  • Toe numbness. Ano other causes nito aside from tight shoes and how to prevent? Pag nagla-laps kasi ako sa Daang Reyna, nagkakarun ako nyan, ginagawa ko lang, ginagalaw ko toes ko pero tuloy pa rin sa laps until matapos. Di naman masikip shoes ko, sakto lang, may enough room para makagalaw ang toes, hindi restricted, hindi rin sobrang luwag. During one lap session, napansin kong parang mababa saddle, naalala ko di ko pala sya naadjust since nagpalit ako from flat to road pedals. So inadjust ko sya by 5mm increment bawat ride, thrice ko sya inadjust until makuha ko yung sa tingin ko eh saktong saddle height, so 15mm ang nadagdag. Pero nandun p rin numbness sa kalagitnaan ng laps. Inisip ko baka sa cleat positioning pero sakto naman sya eh, ball ng foot eh nakatapat sa pedal axle. Sa arch kaya ng insole?

    Pero masarap nga gumamit ng road pedals. Nasanay na rin ako, nakaka weave in and out na ako sa traffic na di kinakabahan.

  • could be possible tat you have a wider feet or the cleats are too forward, experience ko lang yan sakin and may not work for you but ginawa ko wide fit shoes + usog paatras cleats ng 1cm
  • Hindi ako wide feet, normal lang. Kaya hindi ako nag rp3 kasi wide lang available, yun pa naman trip ko. Cge try ko kalikutin cleats forward o back. Thanks sa idea.

    Happened to me before, sa una wala pero pag nagtagal namamanhid na. Nagpalit lang ako ng slightly thicker socks di na namanhid. So baka manipis socks mo or maluwag fit kala mo lang tamang size. Kapag pedal mo, dahil maluwag your foot moves forward, lahat ng force or pressure sa toes mo napupunta. Your shoes should grip your whole feet, it shouldn't move or minimal lang. Give it try baka mag work.
  • Thick socks gamit ko, sakto naman, walang movement. Pag manipis ginamit ko, dun medyo maluwag. 44.5 kasi ang perfect fit sa kin, pero wala nun sa shimano. Try ko other thick socks. Thanks.
  • Eto bike check ni idol. Astig, naka Di2 pa pala. Sa bagong vid nya kanina nag garmin virb sya, ganda, kita power meter, cadence, heart rate, gradient, etc. Contents ng vlog nya eh magaganda quality. Wala pa yatang ganitong klaseng bike vlog sa pinas. To help spread awareness sa vlog nya, baka makatulong na rin ng konti madagdagan subs nya, nagpost ako dito.
