It should be treated as a traffic accident/incident.
    1. Take pictures and avoid moving the involved parties/vehicles.
    2. Call a traffic marshal/officer to preside over the situation. Exchange contact information while waiting for the authorities.
    3. Secure a report (blotter) from the Traffic Police.
    4. Don't let anyone leave without a written commitment being made from the offending party to compensate the aggrieved party.

If the cost of damage is severe and the vehicle has insurance coverage, proceed to follow the insurance claim process of the vehicle's insurance provider. Even bikes and medical expenses are covered in comprehensive vehicle insurance coverage.

  • @sir Vildiil and Godai_Yusaku

    thanks po ulit sa information.
  • @sleepygeepy

Any other brand suggestions? I'm also looking at the Cannondale Topstone. Ganda ng design nya plain color lang. Too bad the green color is only for Sora group.

Mag sale daw ng Ridley frames yung isang shop sa Eastwood starting today until Nov 30.
  • @psyq

Konti palang yung nakikita ko na gravel / CX type bikes na available sa atin na good value ang specs and with hydraulic discs. You might want to check these bikes:

    - Merida Silex 600 2020 model @ Php 56K = SRAM Apex 1x11 with hydraulic brakes and 700x42c tire clearance
    - Merida Silex 400 2020 model @ Php 59K = Shimano GRX 2x10 with with hydraulic brakes and 700x42c tire clearance

    - La Pierre Crosshill 300 2017 model @ Php 50K = Shimano Tiagra 2x10 with hydraulic brakes and 700x50c tire clearance
    - La Pierre Crosshill 500 2017 model @ Php 71K = Shimano 105 2x11 with hydraulic brakes and 700x50c tire clearance

But yung ok naman with these bikes is pwede naman mag frame swap in the future and retain mo remaining parts kasi almost no need na for upgrades unless you want the bike to be lighter.

Alam ko available yung Cannondale Topstone sa atin but yung higher end carbon frame model ata. Not sure on the price but pwede mag inquire kay Newton which I think is the Cannondale distributor.

Meron other options with steel frames tulad ng Surly and Marin also may good deals on Jamis bikes which I believe I posted a few pages back. Siguro depende nalang sa type of riding na gusto mo kung more of smooth on-road riding or rough road / semi-offroad type riding kasi dun na papasok yung tire size and geometry ng frame :-)

  • @sleepygeepy

I called Newton, hinde alam ng kausap ko yung Topstone, bike daw ba yun hehehe. Ganda sana ng Topstone my bottle cage slot sa top tube. Sana meron sa Bike Demo Day. Mukhang maganda din yung gearing nya at 46/30 - 11/34.

On geometry naman, I prefer a more upright position, gagamitin ko kase for Audax. I completed 200km 2 years ago using my CaadX and okay naman.

So parang half the price na of the bike :-)

Unfortunately marami parin mga bike shops / bike dealers na hindi nag differentiate between CX and gravel and they sell bikes considering both to be the same hehe. Sa totoo lang ang CX bikes are really designed for racing / competitive riding so madami napapabili ng CX bike then upgrade / change to a different bike kasi hindi nila makuha yung components or geometry na gusto nila.

Although they go mostly for steel frames with lots of eyelets and frame space for bags. Then yung bike is setup with wide tires and low gearing para sa hill climbs. Pero madami din ako nakikita na casual daytime bikers that go with a gravel bike setup and carry only 1-2 small bags enough for riding the whole day.

So far parang may even split between MTB style and roadbike style gravel / touring rigs dun sa groups :-)

Yung eyelets sa top tube is I think meant for bento box like below, but no harm kung lalagyan ng bottle cage para easy to reach.

Usually ang gravel / touring style frames mas upright ang geometry so more comfortable for long rides at non-race speeds. Baka mas ideal ang gravel style frame for your Audax plans.

  • @sleepygeepy

Messaged the seller and waiting for a reply.

-- edited by psyq on Nov 10 2019, 08:58 AM
  • problema sa revolt 2 around 50k ish
yung brake system hindi daw maganda

ipon muna uli then palitan grx na hahaha

  • walang kasawa-sawang boso boso

  • Saw this nice looking Sunpeed Kepler build sa Gravel and Cyclocross thread...

    (credits to owner)

Very smart choice of components, all budget oriented but practical sa bike...

    - Mavic Crossone 29er wheelset with through axle adapter for QR
    - Kenda 700x35c tires
    - Shimano SLX Crankset 42T-32T
    - Shimano Claris 8-speed FD and RD (stock)
    - Sagmit 11T-42T cassette
    - Not sure kung ano yung brakes... most likely stock

Looks like yung upgrades are the wheelset, crank, and rear cassette. Everything else are stock I think.

  • On sale Merida Silex 400 for Php 50,400 from November 10 - November 17...

Sulit na for the price considering naka full Shimano GRX 400 groupset. Blue colorway is also available and credit card payments accepted...
  • For those looking for a traditional road bike, sulit din yung Merida Scultura Disc 300 (2020 model) for Php 47,200 although some provincial shops are selling for as low as Php 45K...

All Shimano Tiagra groupset (10-speed) but comes with Shimano Tiagra hydraulic disc brakes which is rare sa built-bikes.
  • Sumagot na seller nung Dark Matter, 118k for the frame set. Out of budget na.

Close contenders ang Revolt and Silex, but I'm leaning towards Giant. No experience with Life Cycle but it looks like okay ang after-sales support nila.
  • Sumagot na seller nung Dark Matter, 118k for the frame set. Out of budget na.

Ouch mahal pala ng Argon Dark Matter... I was expecting it to be expensive dahil carbon frame but did not expect na nasa 100K na just for the frameset only :-)
  • Yeah. Out of budget na.

    tiagra GS,
  • Hello mga sir Good pm ask ko lang if i have a Trek Composite 2100 na frame (halong carbon at alloy medyo old skul) at naka FSA MegaExo na BB sya pde ko ba sya salpakan ng Shimano Crankset more or likely 9s compacts ?

FSA BB + Shimano 2x Crankset 9s = cheapest one

or buong Shimano 9s crankset + Shimano BB = no choice; last resort kung hindi compatible sa FSA Mega Exo BB

  • 2nd option.
