Yes, everything local. The frame was via preorder through Pedal Lane. The wheelset I got from Team Pogi. Groupset etc. I got piece by piece while waiting for the frame.

hello po. hindi ko alam kung pwede itanong to dito. pero sige.
if ever magpalit ako ng straight handlebar sa roadbike ko tapos hydraulic brakeset (naka disc setup ako), pwede ba gamiting brake lever yung pang straight handlebar (like pang MTB) tapos roadbike caliper? and vice versa? or pang road lever-caliper lang talaga?
thanks in advance
P.S. may alam kayong bilihan ng short straight handlebar na mura? carbon or alloy. pa PM na lang. thanks ulit.

For Shimano and SRAM brakes, no. At least as far as I can see according to their official specifications.

I think puede. Wala naman kasing issue ng cable travel unlike sa cable-actuated brakes. No cable travel adapter needed to begin with. But hey, the only way to find out is to try it! Heheh.

Sa shimano pwede, as long as compatible sa lever at caliper ang hydraulic hose, e.g., BH90 and BH59.

The only problem is the risk of brakes not working at all under load, which is potentially life-threatening. IMO better not to risk safety-critical equipment such as brakes. Go wild with your shifting, but your brakes should always be bombproof.
I would advise at least looking up the lever/caliper combination to see if anyone else has done it. Then post here with pics of the aftermath if they actually try it.

But alam ko it can impact yung diin ng lever piston. Kapag tinodo mo ay todo din ang movement ng lever piston which translates to movement sa caliper pistons. Alam ko it adjusts how much "bite" you want when you squeeze the lever.
But syempre, if say mas malaki ang diameter ng lever piston ng RB kaysa sa MTB, then yeah kahit sagad na ang adjustment screw ay maliit lang ang equivalent na actuation ng caliper pistons.. Though to ensure that bikers don't mix and match sets, the manufacturers will likely force it by using different sizes and fittings ng hoses as well..
I hate the way that the manufacturers are doing this..

They're cross compatible to some extent but NOT all. For shimano hydraulic brake set (don't know with other brands), generally their road hydraulic brake levers have smaller fluid reservoir than their mtb counterpart.
Shimano brake sets also use two hoses: BH59(older) and BH90. While these hoses have similar outer diameter of 5mm, BH90 has a smaller internal diameter of 2.1mm while BH59 is 2.5mm. Smaller hose can generate higher pressure with x amount of volume than the hose with larger internal diameter.
So essentially for it to work there are two things --> volume displacement + pressure to the push and engage those brake piston.
I've seen folks mix and match their ultegra/105 levers with deore/slx/xt calipers to great success. I think you can safely use an mtb lever on your road caliper. Kung shimano yang existing caliper mo, pili ka ng lever that use same hose para isang hose termination na lang gagawin.

Hi guys! if you were to choose between 2023 Trek Domane SL6 Gen 4 105 Di2 versus 2023 Trek Emonda SL6 Pro Di2? what is your choice? thanks po. I'm stuck between these two bikes. will mostly ride it on road specifically in Auckland NZ. thanks

I dunno, how are the roads in Auckland? I've seen people bring their Domane on gravel rides so it can definitely handle rough terrain, if that's a concern.

if you go by how pros are maximizing their time results, based off of what bike they use on what terrain, then emonda is more advantageous on climbs and descends. they are more forgiving/flexy, letting you sustain high efforts longer. then the domane is built specifically for flat, bumpy roads - their frames are stiffer. di ibig sabihin hindi pwede gamitin sa climb ang domane, it will have its disadvantages, time-wise. but more comfortable though :)
same reason di ko na ginagamit yung venge sa long climbs. yes, mas quick/responsive sya compared sa tarmac pero mas mabilis maka drain ng energy dahil sa frame stiffness lalo na sa bottom bracket area. youll notice flat/aero road bike frames have bigger BB areas compared to climbing bikes that helps stiffen the pedals, resulting in less flexing and quicker speed bursts.
pero kung casual/recreational riding ang goal mo, you cant go wrong with domane.
