Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 256GB or Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250GB

Currently using Kingston A400 120GB SATA SSD.

Salamat!!
  • @lazl0brav0

Get the Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250GB. I decided to just get an Adata XPG SX8200 Pro (500GB) with the new controller (1st change) instead of the Samsung 980 Pro. After a month ito benchmark ng SX8200 Pro ko with a newly installed OS, Crystaldisk mark pa lang naka install.

  • @BCFreeman thanks sir. Malaki tulong ng opinyon nyo. Mas mabilis talaga yung OG XPG SX8200 Pro base sa sinend nyong Crystaldisk benchmark kumpara sa XPG SX8200 Pro ngayon.
  • bit the bullet, got a good deal online... bought an XPG 8200 Pro 2TB. Unfortunately, ended up getting one of the newer/slower revisions. It uses the SM2262ENG controller with SanDisk NANDs.

  • @vanguard

Actually mas ok yan nakuha mo with original controller (ENG).

    Ito yung sa akin:

gusto ko rin to malaman. Up ko po yung post niyo.

Did a short read through their website. mukhang business talaga nila ay memory so plus points sakin yun.

It doesn't seem like it... mas mabagal pa results ko kesa sayo. This is on an X570 board (& 3950X). It's not my setup, kasi I'm able to hit advertised speeds on a 970 EVO Plus on the same m.2 slot.
  • mga sir ok lng ba itong kingstone nvme ko kahit 4 months palang .. 99% ung health

  • ^wala naman yan sa number of months, but the number of writes ang lifespan ng SSD.

Nakaka 3.7TB ka na writes for a 500GB drive, so tama lang yan.
  • @tats25

Normal lang yan though yung Drive E mo yata ang may problem na based on the screenshot.

mga nasa 150TB worth of writes and at that rate na gamit mo, mga 10 years bago masira.
  • if ever in the long run alin pa din mas ok gamitin ssd, nvme or hdd?
  • @wallcolm_x
IMO it depends on your needs.

Lots of storage at affordable prices? HDD
Need the speed but don't want the hassle of UEFI mode? SATA SSD.
    Upgrading older laptop? SATA SSD.

    Blazing speed? NVMe.
  • Bought a 1TB sata based SSD to store my games.

  • Thanks for the lead sir! Bought one
  • Ubos ang stock kagabi if I not mistaken meron 10pcs na stocks.

  • Grabe mura ng samsung 980. 6.7k for 1tb locally.

Edit: Kaya pala mura dahil sa DRAM-less.

    PNY XLR8 CS3030 500GB M.2 NVMe
    Samsung 860 EVO M.2 500GB

Ano kaya dito ipalit ko sa old ssd(barracuda)?

    Update: PNY CS3030
