Solid State Drives / SSD (Reviews, Feedback, etc) ~ No mentioning/promoting of sellers!

TLDR : Strictly for gaming, any relatively recent SSD (ideally with dram) from a known brand "should" be good as long as you check multiple reviews first.

Only spend more on faster drives if you need it for productivity (or may extra budget).
  • @GENTLEMEN
    Got it, many thanks!
  • Also considering Kingston NV2 1TB for my extra laptop, just for the sake of increasing capacity, not for serious speed or gaming. Some reviews like tomshardware is not recommending it due to its variable controller and shift from tlc to qlc. Also looking at transcend 110S at similar price, any other recomendations at least up to 3.5K budget?
  • akala ko mura na yung teamgroup 1tb 2.5 sata ssd for 2.7k. Yang NV2 pala, 2.9k tapos nvme na. risky nga lang daw ayon nga sa reviews
  • got p1 crucial from amazon 3k lang nabili 5k read and 3k write speed yan exact model using it on a b550 board

    Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 5000MB/s - CT1000P3PSSD8
  • Gus balak ko mag 13th gen cpu or mag buo ng bagong pc anyway gamit kong ssd 2018 pa so magbuo ako ng bagong pc ok lang gamitin ko ulit yung tatlong ssd ko ma crucial,970 evo at intel ssd? Or bili na lang ulit bagong ssd?
  • @vladz17

Wala namang problema kung gagamitin mo yung mga SSD na meron ka, maliban na lang kung laspag na.

I mean baka may dagdag performance mga bagong ssd ngayon or yung pcie(not sure yung name) anyway kung loading lang i think gagamitin ko ulit ty.
  • Is the WD Blue SN570 still a good value?

  • CrystalDIskMark benchmark.

  • ^nice, paps ano bench ng OS ssd mo?
  • @ BCFreeman

Yun drive C ko di gen4.

    Adata SX6000LNP 256gb.

Might upgrade this to 2tb or add another one since yun Asus B650-A board ko supported tatlong nvme drives.

  • Hindi rin gen4 yung C ko, Adata xpg sx8200 pro

  • Is the WD Blue SN570 still a good value?
Depende na lang sa price IMO. Asa 4k parin 1tb neto. Alright price, pero kasi add ka konti, may mga gen 4 na like Adata and that even comes with its own heatsink

It's for a laptop with Gen3 x4 M.2 slot. No point in spending more for a Gen4 SSD?

Is the WD Blue SN570 still a good value?

It depends on the $$$ pero:

    WD Blue SN570 - 4200php - TLC DRAMless - still a pretty good SSD
    Crucial P3 1TB - 3600php - QLC DRAMless - mas mura pero slightly worse sa SN570
    Kingston KC3000 1TB - 5400php - TLC DDR4
    Crucial P5 Plus 1TB - 5400php - TLC DDR4 - I'd probably get this para sa DRAM
TEAMGROUP MP34 1TB - $50 - TLC DDR3 - I'd get this sa alam mo na, pero may waiting time ang delivery
  • any feedback on gigabyte ssd 2.5?
  • Bakit may sale ng TeamGroup MP33 512GB? Problematic ba ang model na ito?

A quick Google search later, I found this: <click here for link>

I purchased this drive on sale given the SM controller and related benchmarks from the article - When it came in it had a Realtek controller
    RTS5763DL

    Just FYI for anyone else.
