  • ^

    It depends. Ung Samsung 980/990 Pro may sakit yan on certain firmware versions.

    Generally ok naman mag update ng ssd firmware (or to fix bugs) pero make sure may backup ka muna ng files (and UPS if possible).

  • i see yung gigabyte ko na 240gb until now alive pa may times lang na di madetect before kaya natanong ko like di makita as boot device and yes ssd tool box nga gamit
  • its insane how cheap SSD now a days, I recently bought a 256GB M.2 B-key SATA SSD and a m.2 sata enclosure. total price is around 950 pesos. that's cheaper compared to a regular 256GB USB flash drive!

    Managed to grab a 1TB SN570 for a little over 3K.
1tb NV2 nasa 2700 lang sa shupi, yung adata sx8200 ba goods pa din ba sia? for OS lang sana and other games time to upgrade na din siguro from 512gb.
  • ^ law of supply and demand.

    dramless din ung NV2 kaya goods naman for games, but not necessarily recommended for OS
  • Good day guys, sa tagal ng mga user ng Samsung 860 evo, todate pwede po malaman personal experience nyo? which is better upgrade 870evo or 860evo, coming from an HDD system drive?
  • Was looking around a few months ago and found this:

    TechPowerup Forums -- Samsung 870 EVO - Beware, certain batches prone to failure!

    <click here for link>
  • @awakeruze

    thanks, madami nga ako nababasa na failure, how about sa 860 evo kya? though meron din ilan ako nabasa in less than a year failed na din itong 860 evo, or is it better Crucial MX500?
  • I haven't heard of any glaring issues with the 860 EVO. The Crucial MX500's we've been using have been rock-stable so far. Mine has been in daily use since 2020, though I do baby it a bit -- downloads go to RAM disk first, then copied to SSD after completion. :D
  • @awakeruze

    thank you for the responses, i've just started using on my desktop Crucial MX500 500GB cloned my Kingston HyperX 240GB because I need a larger storage for my System

    now I will be cloning my Hitachi 750GB HDD "Dynamic Disk" (division of 3-NTFS and 1-Fat32) to either an Crucial MX500 500GB or Samsung 860 EVO 1TB

    Note: Hitachi used less than 400GB space

    any suggestion on how to clone a "dynamic disk", since this is from HP laptop, how to initialized the SSD to "dynamic disk" instead of "basic disk"

    what is the best cloning software for this?

    TIA c",?

  • Upon checking kay amazona SN770 1tb for 3040 good deal nb?
  • hey blue, here's my 1TB;

  • Thanks boss Statix!
    Baka mas malaki kumain reserve space windows (to store Restore Points? And maybe also formatting?) vs kay PS5 na lalagyan lang talaga siya nang game files.
  • ^
    It reminds me of the old Crucial MX300 1050GB.

    That Adata might have less reserved sectors, like how some SSDs are 128GB instead of the usual 120GB.

  • I'm using Bnew Crucial MX500 500GB as system drive for 3 weeks, is it normal na bumaba ang health nito ng 1% in just 2-3weeks at ang simtomas na nararanasan ko, nagba-block out ang screen parang nagre-refresh once in a while, that is everyday operation pero tyempuhan?

  • @john_topher

    Crucial MX500 500GB

    As per specs...

    TBW = 180 TB

    As Per CrystalDiskInfo...

    Total Host Writes = 1500 GB

    2 weeks used - clone drive coming from Kingston HyperX 256GB (100% health for 2yrs used)
