DC Inverter Aircon Users (Roundup in Page 1 & 420)

  • Ano pala ang mga main reason bat nasisira ang pcb boards and other parts ng aircon?

Is it marketing strategy na rin ba na mas matipid nga siya sa kuryente peeo ang lifespan is mas shorter?

Yes its marketing strategy na din. Given the proprietary designs of inverters, we're obliged then to buy the much more expensive electronics / pcb module solely from manufacturers or just replace with a new AC. Afterall, dito talaga kumikita ang aircon manufacturers: new units and/or costly parts. Hindi tulad ng mga sinaunang aircon that we're able to get majority of its jurassic parts practically anywhere. Kaya you have to think as an investor when you buy inverters given its shorter lifespan, ROI really comes from the electricity savings.

here's my updated stats for LG 150wc

    23.5kwh for 62hours

    and

    16.4kwh for 40hours.

thats for mon to wed april 22 to 24.
  • wala yatang nag u upload ng ibang brand ng aircon dito? yung merong panasonic....hitachi...daikin...carrier...kolin... puro LG lang yung data...

from what i get from the previous posts ang average ay 350watts an hour....bukod na lang pag hapon...wherin 500watts ang average....this is for the LG 1.5hp...

if all owners will post here then we can get actual wattage use of all the brands...then we can get a concensus kung ano pinakamatipid at pinaka reliable...
  • LG LA100WC user here:

Eto yung summary energy monitoring ko using smartthinq app.

    April 22,23,24
    11.3kwh = 29hours

    Cool mode
    24-25c
    low-med fan speed.

Pag gabi lang nakabukas pag tulog hangang magising.
  • 1.6k bill for April. Galit na galit misis mo palinis na daw namin aircon.
  • wala yatang nag u upload ng ibang brand ng aircon dito? yung merong panasonic....hitachi...daikin...carrier...kolin... puro LG lang yung data...

May ilang pages ng daikin smart lastyear sir.try nyo check. Kaso total bill kasi pinag usapan hindi per usage. Meron isa user nasa 3k bill @18-20hrs a day usage.

  • Pumunta ako sa abensons... Pinaka matipid daw is yung carrier...

113kwh (1,187.41) usage nung electric fan palang gamit namin
217kwh (2,368.32) usage nung may aircon na kami.

aircon is LG LA150VC, for 18sqm, average daily use is 13hours.
medyo mataas consumption dahil buong holyweek nasa bahay lang kami kaya walang patayan yung aircon.
  • aircon is LG LA150VC, for 18sqm, average daily use is 13hours.
    13 x 30= 390 hours....104000watts divided by 390=266 watts an hour....

sakin pinakamalakas sa wattage...siguro mas mainit yung external ng kwarto ko at nakabukas during the day....

  • April 22,23,24
    11.3kwh = 29hours
389 watts per hour...night use only

yung akin 379watts...62 hours out of 72....

at 410watts....yung mas mainit na kwarto....40hours out of 72

    same dates....
  • LG LA100WC user here:
halos parehas ang average ng 1hp at 1.5hp....
  • so if we assume.....410watts x 24 x 30 =300kwh per month na yun....walang patayan.....mga 3thousand...

dati ang kuryente ko 2010....using 1.5hp kelvinator at 1 non inverter ref at 1 inverter ref....was 10t a month.plus misc small appliances..my friend who has 1 small ref and 1 ac...non inverter has bills of 6t a month now....

Meron kasi power consumption monitoring app yan LG so its easier to monitor. We give credit for LG for that innovation. Also, we acknowledge the LG users here for being so detailed-minded that they install gadgets and/or monitor their bill to the hilt to get their actual savings. This is a big help indeed for the inverter AC community to decide if LG inverter AC suits them too vs competition pros cons e.g. longevity, less maintenance repairs, parts availability, customer service etc.

Yes makakabuti nga din for other brand users like Panasonic, Daikin, Hitachi etc to post their power consumptions / savings para maikumpara natin. But I guess other brand users are either contented with their estimated average savings, while others are frustrated the savings arent as big that they don't bother to declare it here. So its their choice to make that switch to LG if they're the latter :)

Speaking for myself, the 2 battle-tested Panasonic Elite inverters we have (had) save us about 10k per month or 33% of our total monthly electricity bill. Thats 2 inverters out of the 5 or 6 ACs running in our bldg / house and many other appliances. Ill try to post the usage / savings for my 3-week old Daikin later.

And yes, I still prefer our durable Japanese Appliances over Koreans :)

  • My AVERAGE TOTAL MONTHLY CONSUMPTION with my 2year old 1.5hp daikin is around 120kw(depende kung masipag ako magplantsa.lol).
    My appliances;10cu inverter ref 24/7
    2 50w efan running 12-14hrs a day
    4 led bulbs running 6hrs a day
    32in led tv average 5hrs a day
6.5kg Fawm washing averange 10hrs/week usage
    Other Small gadgets.

I just got my Panasonic Premium Inverter Installed this Tuesday. I cannot say yet if its really beneficial but for sure meron yan.. also my gripe lang sa Standard Inverter kaya nag Premium ako kasi walang Panning na Louver.. yun one of deciding factors sakin. also mas higher EER
  • @juan_dc,

Yung Panasonic 2013 model namin has eon & nanoe-g yata. I can say mas fresher yung air, pero hindi naman nakatulong sa allergy rhinitis ko. Not sure lang sa newer models nila how far they've refined it.

If you're particular with the anti bacterial (specifically for iwas allergies) feature regardless of brands, try to browse reviews for Daikin. They have built in air purifying filters that are certified for this purpose, see if this suit your needs. I'm actually using Daikin now but 3 weeks pa lang so I cant prove its effectivity pa.

ok ba sya? any common problems? pros and cons?

anong model ng daikin sir? I'm actually considering this vs. Panasonic, kaso ang mahal masyado ng installation nila, 15k quote samin
  • @Juan_DC

    36K inclusive of Installation.

    Panasonic 1HP CS-XU9VKQ
  • @juan_dc

Daikin Elite 2hp yung binili ko for 47k. Referred by a TPCer and sa olx ko nahanap yung seller with free installation. Reasonable naman yung price tags as with most premium brands nila. Ill PM you the details later. Then you can compare with other online sellers if they still sell the cheapest. As long as authorized dealer / installer like them dapat.

  • My AVERAGE TOTAL MONTHLY CONSUMPTION with my 2year old 1.5hp daikin
how much is the bill with the appliance list? and usage...
  • Speaking for myself, the 2 battle-tested Panasonic Elite inverters we have (had) save us about 10k per month or 33% of
i saved that (30percent) before with my 6year old split LG's....i'm hoping i'll save more with the new window types....i'll know in my next bill...

Guys na merong LG with smart thinq app.

parang meron akong nadiscover na flaw....yung isang unit binuksan---nakaon for about 2hours---nung tiningnan ko sa app yung consumption di nya mabasa...parang na offline yata...nag re connect ulit ako pero parang di nadagdagan yung consumption nya since this morning...hinala ko sa app sya nag sa save ng consumption...wala syang internal memory card...
  • And yes, I still prefer our durable Japanese Appliances over Koreans :)
ooooopppsss...you have not demonstrated durability yet....my LGs are still running...they're as old as yours diba...tapos mas mura pcb ko kaya di mo pinalitan yung iyo?....yung running time ko halos 24hours a day you can't beat that either...it all boils down to your preference...mas kampante ka sa japanese brands then its ok...pwede na kami sa mas mura..sa window type lang ha.. :-)...peace...
:-)...peace...

gaano ka "mas mura" maintenance costs ng LG vs Hitachi or in general vs Japs?
yung 1hp WC kasi walang auto swing. is it a deal breaker for you o same lang?
