DC Inverter Aircon Users (Roundup in Page 1 & 420)

  • @rexie

    12+6=18sqmt.

I think hirap ang AC mo palamigin yung both rooms kaya naging mahal kuryente niyo.
  • @rexie,

17sqm 2hp split type inverter naman samin. Recommended yung 2hp by most installers na nag survey sa room namin coz its not insulated. You can use cool mode throughout if you suspect that dry mode's the culprit sa pagtaas ng consumption nyo.

  • Gaano katagal mapalamig ng 1hp ang 10sqm room? The room is not well insulated

  • @rexie

    @alladin20

Then walang insulation.

ikaw na nagsabi na walang insulation then around 18sqm ang room ang pinapalamig ng a/c nyo.

by this, di ka na dapat magtaka why lumobo ang bill ng kuryente nyo. then sumabay sa kasagsagan ng summer and 23C settings mo. for sure most of the time if not all the time laging working ang a/c mo, di na umepekto pagiging inverter ng a/c mo.
  • Gaano katagal mapalamig ng 1hp ang 10sqm room? The room is not well insulated

depende kung gano kalamig gusto mo^_^
there are ac units like my daikin with 'powerful' function. when the functionality is activated, it goes full power(ive read somewhere before it even goes above 100% power) and it can cool the room in around 5minutes.
While yung 1.5hp dsmart elite sa 14sqm room malamig naman same settings, big windows and sliding door sya direct pa sa sunlight. Possible kaya kulang sa freon?
  • Setting ko is 25c auto
  • @hakujosh

Set fanspeed to 3, huwag mo iauto.. then start ka 22-23c
  • Good am mga ka-tpc!

Thinking of getting a window-type inverter aircon.

Can you guys help me out kung totoo ba yung sinabi nya?

For inverters, both window and split types electronic parts / PCB are prone to damages anyway. Eto talaga ang unang nasisira coz of wear and tear na din. Kumbaga sa PC, eto yung CPU that does most of the work. I dont see any longevity differentiation for the other electricals. In fact, in this forum seldom nagka problem inverters besides that dreaded PCB malfunction for both AC kinds and refrigerant leaks naman mostly for splits coz of faulty installations.

In terms of overall durability, mas matibay pa din ang window type practically without moving parts. Unlike split types that have tubes, electricals that are interconnected between the evaporator (indoor unit) and condenser (outdoor unit) which are more susceptible to refrigerant leaks.

Yes you're right. Mas madali mag maintain ng window type. You only have to worry about one detachable unit na pwede mo ipalinis outdoors, cleaning fees cost cheaper pa. Whereas split types are practically fixed kung saan naka install doon lang lilinisin.

Mas madali din install ang window type. Compared with split types na maglalatag pa ng tubes, electricals, and brackets. Tapos kapag ililipat mo naman ang split types, babaklasin pa then redo the installation process all over again that will cost you a lot as well.

Googled this lang which I tend to agree as the advantages of splits, plus it only requires a smaller hole in your wall, and it produces less noise:

"Split ACs are typically more effective than window air conditioners because of the inherent difference in insulation. A window AC allows some heat from outdoors to enter through the unit and open window frame. This can be reduced with insulating window sealing but the design of a window air conditioner is inherently less insulated.

Of course the efficiency of any air conditioner varies depending on the internal components. Make sure to check the EER (energy efficiency ratio) of any unit you intend to use as it tells you how much power is used to cool your space. A higher EER means that the unit uses less energy to cool.

Most split systems are designed for more serious cooling applications and typically have an output of over 18,000 BTUs. Some split systems can deliver as much as 40,000 BTUs of cooling. In contrast, most window air conditioners range from about 8,000 to 20,000 BTUs."

From 400 wala pa aircon to 1300 halfmonth use ng aircon to 1500 full 1 month to 1900 another full 1 month of usage.

    Lg la100wc 1hp
    14sqm studio type
    2adults 1 infant
    Usage daily 8pm to 7am and 9pm to 6am
    Cool/dry 24-25
  • mainit talaga ngayon sir.
  • After 1 month of usage tumaas rin from 303 to 313 kw 10 hrs\ day temp 25, cool mode, 2 fan speed. 18 sq.m. 2hp kolin ksm iw204f1m model
  • Ang liit lang kung +10kwh lang nadagdag hehe.
  • Bale may 11 to june 10
    Billing
  • Thanks guys! Great inputs there! Preferred ko naman talaga yung window type. Ang nakikita ko lang talagang downside ng window type is vibration and noise from the unit. But I think that with an inverter unit ay reduced na ang noise and vibration dahil dahan-dahan naman ang ramp up/ramp down ng unit unlike sa mga conventional a/c units.

    Thread bookmarked!
  • once you have tried split type, parang ayaw mo na mag window dahil sa noise. kahit bago maingay talaga yung window type.
meron namang iba pagka walang tunog di makatulog dahil mina mask nito yung ibang noise sa labas...in my case pag walang tunog parang di malamig (psychological lang, i think)
  • Medyo tahimik na nga window types sa lagay na yan nowadays compared with the jurassic ones na parang binabarena sa ingay. For me its tolerable naman na.

we have a brand new pan window type inverter, may ugong ka talagang maririnig.
8pm to 7am daily.
  • Juicecolored. Bigla naman akong kinabahan sa usapang kuryente. Haha. Ang usage ko pa naman per day is minimum 11 hours. Sa mga holiday, 20 hours. Minsan wala pang patayan yung AC. May heat source pa.
  • @chrizzy16
may isa user dito sir nasa 20hrs per day usage nya @26-27deg + econo mode. aabot lang ng 3k total bill nya.
