  hindi ko na back-up yung mga important. files.
  also, served as counter/server hdd ito eh.

  hanap ka ng sirang HDD na same model/capacity kunin mo yung PCB(board) nya at ipalit sa HDD mo na may sira na black chip

  mga sir mayron po ba kayong idea kung pwede pa marepair yung hdd ng laptop ko. ang nangyari po kasi eh natapakan ng anak ko yung laptop nya after that d na po madetect yung hdd nya. try ko na po palitan yung hdd nadetect naman po. ano po kaya nangyari sa hdd nya? tia!

  WIthout physically checking the hard disk, it\'s difficult to say anong nangyari. Hopefully the disk platters internal of the hard disk hindi nadurog, which would may data recovery extremely difficult or impossible (outside of data recovery specialists).
  
  If it\'s just the pins that got bent, or the HD PCB that got damaged, then replacing the HD PCB or pins might be possible to recover some data. Better have it checked sa marunong.

  Guys how bout yung hdd na parang nacorrupt lang o may bad sector? Bigla kasing ayaw na gumana 2tb ko na hd after na di ko masafety removed. Nadedetect sya kaso di ko macopy lahat files, nag eerror na.

  paano po magpawarranty ang sagate harddrive na galing sa laptop OEM. nabili po ang laptop sa saudi may badsector ang harddrive. 500gb sya. hingi po ako idea sayang po kc ang hdd.

  ang warranty nyan is the same ng warranty ng buong laptop... kung wala ng warranty yung laptop, wala na ring warranty yung mga parts nya kasama na yung harddrive kahit pa na seagate o kahit anong brand pa sya.

  sira din tong WD Elements 500gb ko... di sya mrecognize pag kinakabit ko sa laptop or pcs.. sinubukan ko na din gamitan ng ibang wire, wala pa din...
  posible pa ba to mapagawa.. and can you suggest any shop who do this? how much? salamat po

  same problem here 250gb Laptop HDD, di na ma detect, from U.S kaya di siguro pwedeng pa RMA. pa help naman kung kaya pang magawa at kung saan pwede ipagawa? Thanks in advanced.

  yung may mga problem na hindi ma detect ang HDD external nila sa computer kalasin nyo lang yung case tapos gawin nyo internal kabit nyo tru sata ang power gagana na yun.
  
  sa mga may problema na walang power ang HDD, papalitan lng po ng board yung HDD na same brand at model.
  
  tapos gagana na po ulit sya. ang problema lang po wala po tayo sa ngayon mahanapan ng board na bebenta. ask nyo po sa mga distributor or sa mga manufacturer then then bigay nyo nalang po info d2.

  * no power sa hdd* not all cases of no power will be a board problem. it can also be a motor problem and its not necessary that you have the same brand and model that the boards are the same. Remember that you still have board revisions of the same model. revision a, b, etc...

  sir anu kaya magandang pang ayos nag RAW kasi ung 750g external hdd tas pag sinasaksak ko sya ni rerequired mag format pero pag foformat q unable to complete. pa help naman panu po gawin un, tia :)

  guys ask lang how to recover external hard drive na naging raw format? nabunot kasi sa windows xp ang cable kaya di ko na ma access ang files. tried icare, easus data recovery, tried assigning a drive letter, tried testdisk pero wala din makita files. tried on ubuntu cant mount the external hdd pero nakikita. paano kaya ito? thanks

  ^its a physical defect for either the platter or the read/write head.
  
  the only way to know is to send it to data recovery services out there, sila magsasabi kung recoverable, partially recoverable or no good na yung defective drive mo.

  ^even if its a board issue, you cant just swap that out with a similar one, after all each board have their own configuration (calibration right from the factory, each drive have their own calibration set), so not unless you have the way to transplant the eeprom to a donor board.

  ^none. specially on your case that its a physical defect, its beyond scope of software solutions, software based data recovery can only go as far as retrieve a accidentally deleted file or corrupted file system anything other than that, nope your SOL.

  Old laptop na suddenly ayaw mag boot. WD blue 750 gb
  Bios does not detect HDD.
  Booting from windows install DVD, it does not detect HDD.
  Pull out 2.5 inch HDD and place in a known working 2.5 inch enclosure, does not work
  Replace HDD, old laptop now works, windows installed
  
  Malamang wala na, dead ang HDD right? Or may chance pa na ma detect if I open up a desktop and kabit it to an unused SATA cable?
