before hec raptor sana bibilhin ko kaso wala sa pcreform...then nakita ko nga itong tacens,so naginquire ako bout sa capabilities nito kung ok ba talaga dahil gusto ko naman maiba at mas mura pa ito ng kaunti... since pcreform and its staff are very well trusted...napabili ako...ok sya at mura talaga...
may napansin pa nga ako...kasi yung friend ko nakabili ng hec raptor...in just few hours of playing of gta4...medyo warm na yung hangin sa exaust..although di-naman ganun kainit, mas lower pa ang temps ko sa kanya using my pc 7hrs.-up,naka-oc pa ako at sya stock lang...cool talaga ang tacens under load... -

wala po akong tools na ginamit to compare...pero ramdam ko difference...
correct me if im wrong..dati kasi yung mga tech na ka-kilala ko...sabi nila,mas mabigat yung psu..mas maganda performance....ewan ko lang kung ganun talaga sistema...

^the Raptor R500 is only ~76% efficient so more power will be lost as heat.
kung WIN+ 550 or Cougar 700 ung PSU, mas ok i-compare since they are 80PLUS Bronze certified. -

^totally magkaiba kayo ng hardware so hindi magiging valid ung direct comparison mo.
pero sa efficiency pa lang, talo na ung Raptor 500 ng Tacens 500 so good buy na ito. plus modular pa.

I\'d just like to know if the Tacens Supero 700 can really deliver its rated power (650 Watts)
without testing i really can\'t tell, and i don\'t tell people what psu to buy, i have never done that and never will......however...there are things to consider as far as i am concerned......first is cost....so happened that when i saw this TACENS psu, it got me thinking that it has siblings which sell for more...... -

FSP Everest 500/600/700 -- 80PLUS -- Modular (Retail)
FSP Epsilon 500/600/700 -- 80PLUS -- Non-modular (Retail)
Tacens Supero 500/600/700 -- (80PLUS) -- Modular (OEM)
Retail version is marketed under FSP brand with 80PLUS certification under FSP brand. Everest and Epsilon are the same PSU but with modular and non-modular cables respectively.
OEM version is manufactured by FSP but marketed under a different brand name. no 80PLUS certification under the new brand. thus, it cannot use the 80PLUS logo.
the 80PLUS logo requires separate testing for the new brand/model number and additional payment.
note: i am assuming that the Tacens Supero series is the OEM version of FSP Everest basing on the OEM model numbers given by pc_reform as indicated on page 1. -

Can I just use resistors connected in paralled to test if the rated ampacity of the 12-V rail can be drawn?
yes.....limit each wire or connection point to 6 amps....you can do this also for the 5 and 3.3volt rails... -

nagtanong ako if ever magpalit ako ng quad at 4850 na card,kaya daw ng 500watts...pero kung my budget ka better to buy 600watts...
