sorry about that. we're targeting the two:

    1. basic/advanced networking
    2. intro to windows server 2012

fresh grad yung legit i.t namin, yung isa naman is experienced pero di talaga i.t ang course. so instead of hiring experienced i.t personnel (which i think is malabo due to low pay) ay i-train nalang itong dalawang staff namin. one will specialize sa network, the other sa server admin.
  • general network knowledge ba? take comptia
win 2k12 marami jan, like ne x us
  • 2k per day lang limit ng budget namin. =/
  • 2k per day lang limit ng budget namin

ilang days in a month ang budgeted?
  • @ 35years old.. is it still ok to go out and try new things?

example.. i am a server admin and wanted to be a network engr... kung kayo.. sumasahod kayo ng 40K as systems admin, lilipat pa ba kayo sa network for the sake of knowledge pero ang sweldo eh nasa 30K?

Mas ok kung i-upgrade mo nalang yung skillset mo. Try automation sa server side mas in need ngayon (ansible, docker, chef puppet)
  • ^ yeah that's what I thought and would just try looking for another company. mga pinoy boss talaga minsan kup**l eh. nung foreigner pa manager namen wala namang issue takte
  • Just upgraded my knowledge, from Hardware and Technical Support to Information Security Administrator. Pinag training ako ng company to Fundamentals of AD, DHCP and DNS. So far nagustuhan ko naman. Any suggestions po to enhance this new opportunity? By the way nagustuhan ko na din ang powershell scripting. any suggestions mga master. Salamat
  • ilang days in a month ang budgeted?

wala naman. ang instruction lang is limited to 2k/day. yung usual training dito ranges from 1 day to 5 days. pero i doubt na makakalusot pag more than 10 days yung isang course.

let's relate it to economic data..

    Median Age
    2018 Today: 23.5 y/o
    2019: 24 y/o
    2020: 25 y/o
    2025: 26 y/o
    2030: 27 y/o
    2035: 28 y/o

marami kana kakompetensiya sir, young workforce will join the workplace in the next years ahead.

sakto lang na nagpaplano kana today to hedge (protect) your lifestyle in the following years.

presently nasa expansionary at inflationary phase ang Pilipinas since sinasabayan ng government na idevelop ang domestic market, labor force to create a platform sa mga investors na mag open up ng businesses para sa pagpasok ng younger generation.

in example, dito sa Saudi Arabia year 2010 sila pumasok sa working age 25y/o, as early as that nagsimula na sila ng Saudization at paglilinis ng mga monkey business at illegal expatriates. maraming kabayan nawalan ng trabaho na offset dahil sa kailangan local na magtrabaho otherwise mag aamok mga yan.

    see this article:

"Middle East Youth unemployment is the highest in the world — averaging 25 percent, and exceeding 30 percent in nine countries,” she said. “Moreover, over 27 million hopeful young people will join the workplace over the next five years"

understanding these warning signs sa economic workforce and preparing for it in the short term (5 years) will change your decision today.

    ang sweldo eh nasa 30K

    understand inflation.

TRAIN Law na nga lang nag adjust pataas mga bilihin at cost of living. ang sahod kilan tataas? it will adjust in due time or company will hire a cheaper trainable workforce.

which means bumaba purchasing power ng pisong sinasahod.

be specialized in one thing, or increase your other sources of income aside from your job since salary is the highest taxable income.

Today I will do what others won't.
So Tomorrow I can achieve what others can't.

Try to reconsider kung willing ka bumaba sahod mo at gusto mo talaga ma pursue passion mo. Pang single nalang yung sahod na 30k ngayon at less than 30 years old na sahod yan.
  • @jay_soriano

Salamat sa mga historical graph life cycle. Worth to read.
1- 11GB remaining (total 500GB) (Project use only
    2 - 178GB remaining (total 2TB)
    3 - 56GB remaining (total 4TB)

Thank you.

Kung may budget kayo go for Dell EMC Data Domain.

Dati akong IT Helpdesk/Onsite Deskside Suppor (dual-role), kaso nung nag-reorg or should I say nagtipid, inoutsource buong team namin sa US damay din kami dito sa Pinas.

Ngayon balak ko bumalik as programmer uli (previous CLE/RPG ILE programmer) pero this time as Web Developer/IT (baka dual role uli) pero sa isang startup company. Perks na nakikita ko lang is pioneer employee ako at baka makuha ko rin yung dati kong sahod after a year or what. By the way, 36 na po ako and I just want a stable job sana ayoko na palipat-lipat pa.
  • ^ sahod din nagpipigil saken lumipat... tama nga yung chart sa taas eh sa edad naten parang papunta na tayo sa Insurance stage lol. kung wala lang akong hinuhulugan na 10k monthly matagal na ko umalis. badtrip kasi yung pinoy nameng boss eh dati nung US pa work from home lang ngayon kelangan magreport sa office araw araw.

  • sa bilis ng progress sa Arficial Intelligence maraming IT jobs ang mawawala maliban sa programming in the next few years kaya maganda start shifting to jobs na may programming related to A.I. liked python.

Ang una talagang natatanggal sa organization is it department. Masakit man ang katotohanan kaya kelangan talaga natin mag upgrade from time to time. Next this year naman is COCA-COLA FEMSA
  • well if your still in the legacy technology then kasama ka dun sa shrinking market

    imho..

  • tama ka naman dun sir pero kung yung top management mo ay hindi considered ang support na gusto mo mag step up sa new technology yung organization nila, no choice kundi LBM kana... looking for better management. hehe
  • Depende kasi sa size ng company yan
  • example.. i am a server admin and wanted to be a network engr... kung kayo.. sumasahod kayo ng 40K as systems admin, lilipat pa ba kayo sa network for the sake of knowledge pero ang sweldo eh nasa 30K?

for me ang tingin ko na ok for the future is cybersecurity. ung mga security analyst, penetration tester etc. me demand ngaun and going forward.
  • Mga sir, meron sa inyo gumagamit rubrik, 5000 vm's in 5 minutes delta backup???
