Hi! Just sharing my experience at Pobox. Since I don't have a credit card, sila na lang ung pinabili ko ng mga products na gusto ko sa Amazon: a phone case and a screen protector (wala kasi akong makitang maganda dito sa Pilipinas at para matry lang na bumili sa Amazon). $8.99 ung case at $3.76 ung screen protector. Below is the timeline:
05/11/15 - Price quotation sent to my email
05/13/15 - Paid the amount thru bank deposit and sent them a scanned copy of deposit slip. Nagreply naman sila agad: Thanks for the payment! We'll email the order and shipment confirmation as soon as we have it.
We'll keep you posted on this.
05/14/15 - Nagpadala si pobox ng shipment confirmation from Amazon. Ung case expected delivery date is 05/15 while ung screen protector e 06/09 - 06/25.
Advice guys!! Actually ioorder ko e 2 recorders (musical instrument) at maliit lang un thru air shipping. Less than 1 pound sya at maliit siya (Kasinlaki ng dalawang pencil case (un ung lalagyan) na mahaba since 3 piece ung recorder at ung isa naman e maliit lang and total weight nila e less than 1 pound lng) Ok ba kung sila pa din pipillin ko? Gusto ko kasi mabilis na dumating, yoko next year pa hehe.

For those who've been taxed by Customs, do they:
Charge based on Declared Value, Purchased Value, US Market Value, PH Market Value?
Basically if a certain router went on sale for $70 (Purchased Value) that normally goes for $150 (US Market Value) but sells here for P10k (PH Market Value). Which among them would likely be used as basis for tax?

@mirage aliexpress courses through post office. They usually ask for you to bring the invoice of the item. If high value, they might impose duties and taxes. Ganun din if maramihan since they'll say commercial quantity. Minimum P100 charge as handling fee per shipment.

For those who've been taxed by Customs, do they:
Charge based on Declared Value, Purchased Value, US Market Value, PH Market Value?
One data point only: Taiwan seller, shipped to PH via EMS, picked up and assessed at CMEC, Pasay City.
Duties = 10% of declared (value + insurance cost + freight cost)
VAT = 12% of (declared ... + duties)
For US to PH via forwarder, have not experienced being assessed. Also wondering how customs charges (if any) would be computed.
For those who use Forex/Drop Ship: When encoding items, do you put in a USD amount, or leave at $0.00 ?
Is the list of items with USD amounts (Drop Ship or Online Shopping) being provided to PH customs ... for all boxes? only selected boxes on request? electronically? hardcopy? (almost one ream of paper per container of 400+ boxes)

@cadr
I always put in the actual USD amount (I think this is required for proper insurance). Lately, I've been thinking of requesting from ForexWorld to include a print-out of the item manifest with the USD amount together within the box. I thought maybe, if by any chance any of my boxes would get inspected (hope not), the Customs would be able to compute Duties & Vat faster and more accurately.
But, I believe when a ForexWorld box gets opened the company presents the item manifest & tries to "haggle" the rates the Customs charges them. I don't know...

^ IIRC, only one report so far of PH customs opening and charging...
megawacko November 04, 2015 02:37 PM (page 350)
Ask ko lang if may nakaexperience na macharge ng additional with Forex (via ocean cargo), kasi 'daw" narandom check daw yung shipment by Customs. Around 40k, so maghahati daw kami dun? 1 year Forex user and first time to experience this. Still waiting for my additional charge, di pa nila nacompute, and di man lang sila nag notice agad na ganun ang nangyari. Weird. Di kaya tubong lugaw ito?
Paging megawacko ... any update on what happened and how charges were computed?
Or anyone else that experienced similar?

hi there ! I have a friend who loves to surf and buy products through online shopping and she ordered in Galleon.ph. And she doesn't encounter any problems so far. Try to browse and order items that you want to purchase to them.

You can email or message their (LBC) fb page for the bill of lading. I already did it twice for amazon tax refund..
P.S. Provide the transaction number for that specific shipment.

Form sent by LBC? or by Amazon?
Did it have / Does Amazon require Bill of Lading number and/or Container number?

From Forex re shipping of laptops, tablets, cellphones.
Please be advised that electronic gadgets like laptops, cellphones and tablets can only be shipped via air cargo. In this regard, shipping this kind of items via sea cargo will be at your own risks. This means that any loss/ damage will not be covered by the box’s insurance.
Moreover, the extra tariff charges/duties we are referring to will only be applied once your items are ship via airfreight. [The] additional charges can be provided by our Forex US office once the item’s cost is declared. But just to give you an idea, normally, the additional charges is 15-30 percent of the item’s value.

gano katagal ang shipment ng laptop through JAC?
johnnyairpadala.com website says: IMPORTANT NOTICE: JAC STRICTLY PROHIBITS shipments of ...
lithium batteries ...
<click here for link>
but johnnyairplus.com website does not prohibit lithium batteries in its Important Notice.
<click here for link>
Better ask JAC first whether they take laptops and which of their two websites is correct.

na-ask ko dati si JAC sa megamall branch and they said na nagshi-ship sila ng laptop, mejo malaki lang yung charge.. plus $50 if I remember correctly bukod pa sa shipping weight
pa-confirm pa rin para sure, that was few months ago kasi, baka may nagbago sa policy

Re JAC: In addition to the fixed charge of supposedly but not necessarily $50, there could be a 5% charge if value is above $1,000. Don't know if this policy is followed consistently.

Pwede ko ba i separate per item yung automatically consolidated packages sa LBC? Yung 1st batch ko kasi 3 items ang laman. What if yung isa dun gusto ko via sea?
Next, pwede ko ba gamitin yung card ng iba para ma avail ko yung 15% shipping fee discount? Salamat!
