  • Hey guys, do you guys know where I can have this serviced? cubao area.

Had it on 24/7 for the past 2 months. started to whirr and then some smoke came out. it didn't even shut itself off when it happened. barely using 200watts output at that time.

Try asking 5TH Avenue Electronic City / AVESCO, I know they sell original Japan made STAC servo AVR's and can also provide original Stavol brand servo AVR's.

  • @AhohoBalaTimoJan

Most likely yung UPS mo walang built-in AVR so nag switch lang siya to battery kung may power outage.

When testing the UPS, check mo din yung PSU mo kung may naririnig ka na buzzing sound or coil whine at baka incompatible siya with the UPS.

sapat na ba ung 500VA? with or without power on delay? thanks
  • @jtiro

Go for the servo AVR model (Panther PSV-500) kasi ang servo AVR kaya mag-adjust ng voltage in fine increments at mag stay as close to 220 volts as possible. Also ang mga modern HDTV are sensitive electronic devices kaya mas maganda din kung servo AVR gagamitin mo sa kaniya.

Ang relay-type AVR hindi nag-adjust ng voltage in fine increments dahil parag nag step-up / step-down lang siya between voltage ranges (+20 volts or -10 volts).

Kung medyo mahal ang Panther servo AVR, also look at other models tulad ng Meiji, Izuki, china version ng STAC or STAVOL, and other brands na mas affordable.

For a TV only sapat na siguro ang 500VA servo AVR.

  • cnu dito may cdr-king 1000VA servo avr? I can't believe it's still working, purchased it 2009 ata para sa panasonic plasma tv namin. di ako makapaniwala sa tibay, both avr and tv gumagana pa at gamit nila erpats.
  • cnu dito may cdr-king 1000VA servo avr?

Yung Wixim servo AVR looks to be OK at parang kapareho niya yung generic china made na Stac or Stavol servo AVR.
  • @sleepygeepy

  • Guys, I need help.

Just bought a MEIJI AVR today, model SVC 1500 from SM.

Nagamit ko for the first time for about 30 minutes, plugging in a TV and a soundbar. I wanted to turn off the sound bar dahil news lang naman ang papanoorin ko, para TV na lang ang gagana. So after I turned off the sound bar, automatic din nag-turn off yung TV na hindi intended to be turned off.

Nagtaka ako bakit sabay nag-turn off yung sound bar and TV which are both configured with HDMI CEC turned off.

When I tried to turn on the TV, ayaw na. I turned off the Meiji AVR, then turned it on again. Waited for more than an hour, wala pa ring power output to my TV. The QUICK START button at the back appears to be not working. I tried to turn off and turn on the AVR again. Still, nothing.

This is a new AVR. Not even a day used. Did i miss something? Or is it new but already defective?

Any response will be appreciated. I'm frustrated already.
  • I've been using Secure 1000w servo avr for over 2 years. Okay naman performance niya. Meron din 500w. It's available in PCE****ss.

My other Meiji 500w faulty na bypass switch but in good condition servo function & time delay.
  • @viajero91

Chances are defective yung Meiji servo AVR unit na nakuha mo, and it might be worth having it exchanged sa SM.

When my Meiji servo AVR was brand new (SVC-1000 model) I noticed that the rear power bypass switch was a bit wonky. You had to press it a couple of times or depress it a few seconds longer before it would bypass the time delay. Now it works smoothly even with one press.

Also the time delay is unusually long for my servo AVR, I think it takes around 10 - 15 minutes before the AVR is powered back up. Most of the time I don't wait and just press the bypass switch at the back when there is a quick brownout.
  • @Peorth @sleepygeepy

Thanks, guys. I returned the Meiji AVR and got a replacement for the same model SVC 1500. Now observing how it performs this time.

-- edited by jtiro on Feb 03 2020, 01:43 PM
  • @jtiro

  • FUJIDENZO AVR

This brand advertises their AVRs are "Built with 100% Copper Coil & Servo-motor."

Anyone has tried this brand that is Japanese-owned?

Most modern tvs Auto-volt na nanaman. AVRs doesnt really offer a lot of protection, maliban sa power on delay.

Glorified extension cord lang ang surge protector without proper the grounding.

Thanks
  • May Seasonic S12III 650w ako at APC BX625CI-MS 625VA, 230V ako.
