Seasonic PSU users pasok.....

  • Good day TPC !

    Question lang po regarding RMA

Di na po kasi umiikot ang aking PSU at clicking noise as if grounded na tuloy tuloy kapag ino- on sya

    Thank you po
  • @vicmanhid

  • may custom braided sleeves ba for seasonic modular PSU?
  • Any idea if JTP accepts walk in for RMA? My PSU died today, no power at all. Already tried using different PSU and it worked. Already contacted helix unfortunately its not under their warranty. Contacted dynaquest 3 weeks then 300 pesos charge if they will process the rma. Or Is there any contact number for JTP? Thanks in advance.
  • @lei151

suggestion lang sir I rather let dynaquest handle your rma mahirap pong mag pa rma dyan kay jtp na experience ko na po yan for me babayad na lang ako ng 300 sir kesa mag personal na mag pa rma kay jtp.

    Just my opinion sir.

I was able to talk to them earlier, I’ll be there on tuesday for the rma. Helix was way more easier to talk to and knows their product. Helix knows right away that the product was discontinued and needs to be replaced by a new line of product while JTP doesn’t sound like they know a thing. JTP wants to check if its CID (customer inflicted damage) while Helix is wlling to replace the product right away if its under them.

Here’s the conract details for JTP Photoworld incase someone needs it:

    JTP Photoworld
    (02) 708 4324 local 105 or 106

    For Helix:
    (02) 369 2822
I also have a cellphone number from one of the guys there just pm for who needs it. I don’t wanna post it for the his privacy.
Yung PSU ko JTP distro bought from EasyPC.
  • ^
Maybe you can try ordering from Helix directly?
  • not sure kung sino kilalang store ng seasonic na ang rma is helix, anyway pchub from my experience is from jtphotoworld

  • So far got an update from JTP today after bringing the defective Seasonic P-860 yesterday. They are offering Seasonic Prime Gold 1000w for the replacement since no stocks are available for 850w catergory. Is it acceptable or fair? I’ll be getting additional 150w headroom but gold instead of platinum?
  • @lei151

Cost wise I think it is a fair trade since the Seasonic 1000W PSU's tend to be more expensive due to the cryptocurrency mining craze. Your PC probably does not need a 1000W PSU, but if you are running a fairly powerful build like an 8-core CPU paired with Radeon Vega videocard or dual GPU setup then it should be fine. Using a PSU with a lot more capacity is not harmful and the loss of efficiency going from Platinum to Gold is very small.

If the replacement PSU is brand new, my suggestion is go for it rather than wait for an exact replacement. The Seasonic P-860 is already discontinued and you have to wait for JTP to have stock of the newer Seasonic Prime Platinum 850W (SSR-850PD) to get your PSU replaced. You never know when JTP will have stock of the SSR-850PD and it might take months of waiting. I say get the 1000W PSU now so at least you have your replacement in hand and get your money's worth from the warranty.

Then maybe, what you can do is use the Seasonic Prime Gold 1000W PSU on your PC. Or try selling it and buy a brand new Seasonic Prime 850W Platinum / Titanium PSU. That way you get a brand new PSU with a refreshed 12 year warranty :-)

  • Already got the replacement PSU earlier, so far its a brand new 1000w Prime Gold. Its an overkill for my current rig so I might sell it and get a 750w-850w Platinum or if budget permits Titanium. So far it only took 2 days for JTP to replace my PSU.
Is this normal? I waited 20 min kaso naikot padin yung fan, my spare PSU ako dito pero hindi naman ganun yung case.
  • Bought 2 seasonic online, good thing lahat may sticker ng Helix. Sinigurado ko muna who the distro is para mabilis ang warranty.
  • mga sir tanong ko lang kung may naka-experience na ba kayo na "Power supply surges detected during the previous power on...ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect your system from unstable power supply" pero ok na naman ang voltages nya, tapos may naririning akong buzzing/whining noise before startup. possible kaya na yung seasonic m12ii 620 evo ko ang culprit? pero ok yung voltages nya. btw three years na po sya. TIA
  • @brandon_boyd19
Ganyan din nangyari at my psu (650 gold) buzzing sound but no whining. What I did was just let it run didnt have a UPS or Voltage regulator, after a few days nawala nalang because if it continued I would have it replaced.
  • @alphaa86

Tingin ko may bad batch lang or baka din dahil paired siya with no AVR or cheap AVR etc. Sa mga new builds nag try narin ako i-avoid recommending ang Seasonic M12II and go with the cheaper S12II or go with the newer Focus+ series.

Baka kasi over time mas lumala ang problema at tuluyan masira ang PSU when you are least prepared. Usually graceful siya namamatay on its own at hindi nalang gagana or biglang hindi stable ang PC mo.

Another option din... Mas affordable ang servo AVR and you can buy one for around Php 2K - Php 3K sa Quiapo / Raon area.
  • @brandon_boyd19

Pa check out mo sa distro.

Pakita mo lang po original receipt and all good

    All the best

Try mo sir iplug directly sa outlet if same issue. Para malaman natin if di sya okay kapag me surge protector? or Mas okay if ma try mo rin sa ibang outlet para ma isolate problem.
  • ^baka owitech seasonic yan?
