Seasonic PSU users pasok.....

  • @statis, hindi sir eh, phanteks lang natry ko. sa susunod na build eh try ko nga. okay kaya yung strimer ng lian li?
  • Tumawag ako sa helix hindi daw sila and distro ng Seasonic ko.
    May binigay sila sakin isa pang distro pero PC parts shops lang daw ang kinakausap nila sa bwisit ko nakalimutan ko J something.


    mabait sa JTphotoworld. pinalitan psu ko na almost 3 years old, from 1,200 platinum to 1,300 watts na prime pa dahil wala na daw ang 1,200 watts. walang charge. hindi hinanap ang box at resibo at accessories. bare unit lang.

  • @lucas03: kung sa extension cable ka nagkakaproblema... try mo muna sa shakee... brands like asiahorse... specific cable muna lang ang acquire mo... gpu extension cable lang siguro to check it out kung magkaka problema pa...

    Sana nga mabait din sakin

    Tinawagan ko sila ayaw ako kausapin kasi hindi daw ako pc parts shop hindi pede sa end user.

    Since dalawa lang naman silang distro most likely sila distro ko unless grey unit ang dala ng cybertech wag naman sana.
  • Ayaw palitan ng JT Photoworld good daw yung item.

    Pagbalik sakin hindi ko rin magagamit random paginabot ng ayaw boot ilang araw ulit affected work.

    Nakaka danlaw first seasonic ko 3.5k
    2k na lang sale sa lazada yung PSU nung campaign tapos ngayon ticking brick na lang.

    Sana nag total power out na lang.

    mali nilagay ng shop sa report at mali din diagnostics sa JT Photoworld.

  • Can anyone help me sa RMA procedure directly sa seasonic wala PH sa list of Countries.
    Kahit lower model or what basta marepair or replace lang yung unit disappointed ako sobra sa local distro.
  • @blu3martini: too bad at iba ang naging experience mo. sa case ko eh ang bait nila at walang hiningi na resibo. one to two weeks lang ang turnaround time in terms of palitan. ang weird ni jtphotoworld kasi 2x pinalitan ang unit ko tapos nung nasa 2nd replacement na eh nagrerestart pa din eh nagpalit ako ng ibang cable extension (same na phanteks na gamit ko pero ibang/excess cables ko) eh gumana na at hindi na nagloko.

    nagloko ulit si phanteks cable nung nag 3080 na ako kaya tinanggal ko na lahat ng cable extensions ko at ginamit ko na yung stock ni seasonic. okay na after.

    I talked with HWS being at wits end and asked for advice.

    JTPhotoworld does not handle user RMA so I think exception ang case mo.
    They will only entertain RMA of the item from shop where I bought it and my experience palpak sila parehas magtest since according sa shop JT burn tested for a day and oh nagboot naman and tama yung voltages sa bios so PSU is in good condition and refuse to fix it.
    I tried calling them several times and dismissed me as hindi ako PC shop this is confirmed by HWS and cybertech as their policy.

    They refuse to be outed as "supplier" like why para ba hindi maghabol end user.
    sabi ko na lang sa seller malalaman ko pa rin naman one way or another supplier niyo unless grey market yan.

    I've settled with the seller and will be sent a corsair equivalent and fingers crossed hindi ko alam if JTPhotoworld ulit distributor noon but better than getting nothing.

    I'll only get seasonic again if the seller will not hide the distro and helix.

    I got the corsair unit after an overnight testing at cybertech gilmore.

    While it took almost 2 months since I first reported the issue and was at a loss for having a 3500php brick, I'm glad we managed to settle this between me and the seller.

    Nice to know that somehow you got a new psu by settling with the supplier. How much did you add/pay to get a new psu? does it have the same or higher wattage? may I know the model? thanks

    frankly, I'd stay away from seasonic. I never had a problem with a corsair hx psu. In my next build, i'd revert to corsair.

    I did not settle with the supplier.
    Cybertech ate the losses and offered me the corsair same wattage, bronze and price.

    i must say this again cybertech owed up not JTPhoto. To be honest i prefer the seasonic model compared to the CV650 since wires were easier to route, has separate wires for each gpu and 8 pin lang yung cpu not 8+8 so nakalawit sa taas yung excess 8pin ng corsair ko.

    I did have good experience with corsair yung vs450 lasted 3+ years while the FSP hexa dead a year lang dati.

    I reckon lemon yung seasonic since something trips on prolonged use which is okay nangyayari. JTphoto being incompetent in testing an issue that is not dead or smoked is not.
  • Seasonic ownership during the times na si Helix lang ang distro was really good. They were very responsive and they truly honored the warranty. But with other distros like JTP, becoming a Seasonic owner has suddenly become a headache..

    Corsair as a brand is actually quite good. RMA procedure is very straightforward and easy to comply. Ang hassle ay yung kapag need mo ipa-ship sa Taiwan yung PSU na ubod ng bigat for RMA. Kung ram lang eh walang problema since maliit at magaan lang. Dunno kung sino ang local distro ng Corsair but I dunno if they will honor yung full warranty ng Corsair PSU since most local distro only cover up to the 1st year.
  • Is it still possible to purchase directly from Helix? I was able to order some SS-350ES from them more than 10 years ago.
  • baka bago na policy ni JTPhotoworld maraming beses na ako nag pa RMA dyan sa kanila 1 seasonic psu and few zotac gpu

    Bale from Seasonic S12 III watts bronze 80 srp 3580php to Corsair CV650 80 watts bronze same SRP similar spec.
    I didn't pay anything for it sort of settlement na lang para matapos issue ko with them after some legal measures.

    Hindi ko alam previous policy ni JTPhotoworld since searching them on google maps shows the same experience as I did.
    10 years ago pa ko last nagassemble ng PC and alam ko lang noon distro = Seasonic or Helix.

    What I did not like about JTPhotoworld.
    They insist good ang PSU because it boots and voila tama naman ang voltage sa bios outside windows.
    Sana smoked na lang unit para no questions asked.
    According sa seller JT only boot tested it for a day and called it good.

    It took me 5-7 days of daily use with 6-8 hours rest per day ng PSU before whatever trips, trips and hindi gagana for 1-2 days.

    They refuse to entertain me even with serial checking telling me off na hindi ako client nila since PC shops lang client nila.
    HWS expounded on that na hindi rin sila pede maging intermediary since the RMA needs to come from the shop kung saan ko binili. Buti pa yung WD Green ko dati na handover sa ibang distro yung RMA nung wala na yung distro kung saan galing unit ko.

    Back then sa gilmore PC shops would give outright replacement warranty, shop warranty(shop assisted RMA to distro) at distro warranty wherein bahala ka.
    When I asked seller for the distro hindi daw nila pede sabihin like why. Imagine if diretso yung end user sa distro hindi na sila maabala and gagastos ng shipping from their store to distro.

    Wink wink yung seasonic ko and corsair implied wala na warranty after 1 year since JT will not entertain the end user and seller will not entertain me any further after the warranty on the receipt so sana lang tumagal ng 1 year yung corsair para masulit ko naman yung ginastos ko for the PSU, return shipping at stress over the ordeal.

    guys ask ko lang po. possible po ba kaya madalas ako masiraan ng motherboard is due to extension cable na nabili ko sa shakee? ever since kasi na ginamit ko un ung motherboard ko hindi nagtatagal. ung last na nangyari sa 1155 ko is lumiyab pa ung isang capacitor malapit sa processor parang nagsindi ng lighter.

    since nangyari un nag upgrade na ako into 1151 and still using ung extension cables na un galing sa shakee. almost 4 months na ung motherboard processor ram then kagabi biglang nagshutdown ung PC habang nagssketchup ako. then ayaw na magon pero ung motherboard is may ilaw ung illuminated audio light trace. before pag switch ko sa PSU ung light na un is breathing light pero ngayon steady light nalang at walang response.

    tried jumper ung PSU without extension eh nagoopen naman. possible po kaya na dahil sa extension na un kaya ganun madalas ako masiraan ng motherboard?

    plan ko pa naman sana magupgrade ng NVme M.2 nagka aberya pa :'(

    nasakin pa ung warranty card and sales invoice nung PSU kaso 5years warranty lang kasi nakalagay dun at sadly naopen ko na din un para linisin ;( sana hindi PSU problema

    Nakakapagtaka lang po kasi mga sir since 2021 na nabili ko un nung 1155 pa naka 4 ako motherboard hindi naman po sya everyday use pag may kailangan lang idraft and rendered pinaka stressed ng buong unit is while rendering.

  • so far naman gamit kong sleeved cable kay shakee eh galing kay CPieyaY... wala pa namanako na experience na untoward incident... what you can do is try another sleeved cable brand... dahil yun ang option na mas afford aside sa pwede ka namang manghiram ng psu (or kung may budget eh another new psu?)... try lang sa medyo reputable or madaming reviews... wag lang magbase sa 5 stars... i check din ang lower tiered reviews...

    Ipadiagnose ko po muna ung mobo ko sir bukas pag off ko kung dead na talaga kahit na may ilaw pa din ung audio light trace. Papacheck ko na din ung power supply ko if sapat pa din ba ung rated output nya. Di ko p din po kasi alam rason huhu. Wala po kasi mahiraman sir hehe
  • Mga sir palitin na po kaya talaga ito? O pwede pa syang marepair? Nagtest po kasi ako ng voltage output using multimeter ito po ung mga result




    Parang over voltage na ung mga reading kung pagbabasehan ung +/-5% rated. Baka ito ung dahilan kaya ilang beses na ako nasiraan ng mobo before sa 1155 at recently sa 1151.

    labas na po sya sir sa warranty hehe 5 years lang po kasi ung nakalagay sa warranty card nuon. tama ka po sir pagpahingahin na po bali bumili na po ako ng bagong PSU (Seasonic S12III 650 SSR-650GB3 650W) maigi na to para wala na po akong iniisip.

    wala na po palang warranty card gaya dati need nalang iregister ang unit sa site nila.

    Ask ko lang if possible ba na signs of faulty PSU na to?
    • Nag start randomly nag o-off yung PC
    • Ngayon, pag in-on na sstuck lang sa on/off loop pero mag bboot sya after mga 10 mins
    • Kahit mag open, after mga 5 mins mag off ulit kahit nasa bios/windows ka
    Napansin ko na nag ffluctuate yung 12v rail = ~11-15v
    • Minsan pag di nag bboot, nailaw yung CPU debug led ko

    Found RAM errors through MemTest86 & Windows Memory Diagnostic. Puro errors & "failed" ram, though di ko pa na iisolate which ram stick (1 or 2). Possible ba na ram nag ccause ng sudden shutdowns? Pero hindi naman nagpaparamdam yung ibang symptoms (bsod & screen freeze).

  • ang tagal na din ng seasonic 620W bronze psu ko, 2014 pa nung 1st build ko na r9 290, hanggang ngaun rtx 30 series ok pa din, i dunno if tama pa nga to for my setup or kulang na, but nakakalaro naman lol, kasi 5800x cpu ko so i dunno if a 620watt bronze is still advisable
  • Hello po. May new Seasonic GX750 ako for upgrade sa PC ko. Nung first time ko siya inopen may nakita akong nagspark sa loob near the switch area. Inopen ko padin yung PC and nagopen naman with no problems. Gusto ko padin sana ipacheck/RMA yung PSU. Nung tinuturn on ko na siya ulit di naman na siya nagsspark. Tanggapin kaya to for RMA? Gusto ko kasi ipapalit na sana. Sa Seasonic Lazada ko siya nabili.

  • @zambo, imho, it is very unlikely to be replaced. Gumagana naman at walang actual damage sir eh. So wala silang basis para irepair, more so eh palitan yung unit.
  • @Blu3martini - just a question, was Cybertech able to replicate the issues ng PSU mo?

    Well apparently, after 5-6 years ng PSU ko bumigay na rin. I was getting the issues mentioned in this article which Seasonic themselves admitted that the issue exists.

    Same scenario with JTP, ayaw i-admit na may problem sa PSU. They did standard load testing using Furmark pero kasi ang sabi ko mahirap siya ireplicate since it needs to happen via gaming since usually standard FPS rate yung Furmark and hindi fluctuating ang bigay ng FPS/watts which is how I understood the scenario in the article. Sa gaming namamatay talaga yung PSU which is annoying.

    Hindi ko pa nakakausap yung seller since sa Gilmore pa to nabili and ayaw ko sana pumunta dun since mas malapit sakin JTP than Gilmore. Haha ang hassle ng ganito kung napaka-difficult kausap ng supplier and hahanapan ng butas para di mapalitan kahit inamin na ng Seasonic mismo yung problema.

  • Hindi na ba Helix Technologies distro ng Seasonic? Last time na kelangan ko ng replacement unit mabilis lang nila pinalitan, ginoogle ko lang sino distro ng Seasonic dito sa pinas then nag file ako ng ticket online, after a few days may nag text sakin na ready na daw for replacement yung unit without asking any questions.
