based sa experience using mfc 5890,
mahina ang print head nyan, sakit sa ulo, di pede massive printing (A3),
unlike sa T1100 ng epson na matibay, reliable,
mfc5890 print head will cost you 6K ang palit,....
...kaya yung gamit namin dito, network scanner na lang ang gamit nya...

bumigay brother ng dad ko in less than a year. i forgot about the model but its the one with fax feature. technically under warranty pa sya, but warranty doesnt cover comsumables like inks and print head!! which would cost us almost the same price of a bnew one if replaced. @_@

called the brother hotline sabi nila kasama sa 1yr warranty ang printer head nya after nun hindi na kasama sa extended na another year

before the issue of print heads,
face the print quality issues, not so good...
...ewan ku lang sa mga A4 size na mga printers nila...

I\'ve been using my MFC-6490CW with no trouble. I\'ve had it since 2009 and it still prints well. Its an inkjet printer so I wont look for laserjet quality from it. I also used thenet uv dye inks with extended cartridges so far so good everyday printing of about an average of 10 pages. I also own an epson printer ganun din after 2 to 3 years bumigay din ang print head using original inks pa. Pag cardboard printing and check printing I print it with my epson tx100 kasi ayaw kainin ng feeder yun cardboard sa brother hehe. Pero masasabi ko lang nde ko na kailangan lumabas para magpa photocopy kahit A3, magkano lang yun ink 80 petot per 100ml 1 liter cost around 500 - 600 petot ata yun. Pag opis use swak na swak wireless connections pa =) you can print anywhere as long as you are in reach of your router\'s signal. 29k ko ata nabili yun unit ko ngayon 19k nalang wow. HP printers kahit Epson pag A3 size cost aroung 20k+ etong brother may scanner na wireless pa!
ano pa hinihintay nyo bili na! hehe

replacable ink nozzles are better than fixed ink nozzles

@james try mo install using USB lang muna pag na install mo using USB gagana na yan sa wireless just make sure your settings sa printer mismo sinunod mo na

lagi namang nagclea-cleaning ang j220.. bawat photocopy mo.. nagclea-cleaning. kaya me 15 second delay . pls. correct me if im wrong.

parang nakuha ko na yung diskarte, ang ginagawa ko kasi pag bukas ng printer, print agad, pansin ko, yung ink level ng inobella, may nakalagay dun offline.. intay intay pa saglit hanggang maging online saka ako magpiprint.... di na sya nag cleaning.

sir ganyan din nangyari sa bagong bili ko na brother DCP-J715W, lagi pa nga sya paper jam then pag pinatay mo na ang unit magheadclean sya once ini-on mo, ang ginawa ko dinala ko sa binilhan ko sa INKWISE, ayun nilinis nila ang loob, simula nun dina masyadong paper jam at head clean, so far so good, naramdaman ko tuloy ang ganda ng brother ngayon di tulad dati maiinis ka...

hard reset ng brother printer
- unplug power cable sagilid ng printer, hindi sa avr
- press menu button habang binabalik yung power cable
- sa lcd ng printer may lalabas na maintenance, then press 01
- after, press mono start,
- lalabas sa lcd, parameter init
- then lalabas maintenance
- then press 99, mag rereboot
- yan hard reset na

more than 4 years na yung DCP-115C ko..
refill lang nang refill... nde nman nagloloko.
alagang alaga ah kasi yung sa akin same model less than 3 years lang galing UAE, nag luluko na yung black ink. nung una hindi sya nag pi print. Then after some time nag pi print naman pero pangit ang kinalabasan hindi gaanong mabasa yung pini print.

Ang masasabi ko lang sa brother j220 eh ok na ok pang business di man ganon kaganda ung print di rin naman pangit almost 2 months na sakin to at nakaka 11k na ko na print ng picture & so on if need nyo katibayan hehehe popost ko dito kung gus2 nyo :) BANG 4 the BUCK!

sir, di po ba nagloloko yun j220 ninyo? yun sa akin po one month pa lang, di na masyado lumalabas ang magenta color at kada on mo nagheahead clean siya. Ano po solution. Thanks.
