bat ganon, i accessed the web based gui for downloading torrent.. unang access ako andun pa HDD.. nung nilagay ko na yung .torrent file.. nawala na lang yung HDD.. wah..
kala ko nga nabura na yung files ko don.. i checked it on tv.. ok nman ung movies ko.. intact pa rin.. pero now wala na yung HDD sa neighbor web ng measy.

accessible na yon measy ko thru lan connection, na pi ping ko na sya, mga master tanong ko lang kung paano mag direct download don sa unit para di na sa pc, kung baga kahit patay na yon pc nakakadownload sya using the unit with built-in hdd. na access ko na rin yon browser nya
di ko alam kung pano ang gagawin sa bit torent download para maka pagdownload don.
bali ang ginagawa ko para magkaroon ng movies yon hdd na nasa unit thru visit neighbor then copy paste.
isa pa mga master yon wireless network nya paano ko mapapagana. thanks.

Speaking as firstgen wdtv owner why i switched to low power htpcs:
Hirap kasi sa mga mediaplayers is exactly that.
Asides from problems with out of spec video formats there is a question like will they support the new Google VP8
standard and the HTML5 video specs.
Kaya na phase out wdtv firstgen it cant play mkv files with 16 reference frames.
Now they want me to buy a new player just coz palpak yung unang wdtv.
Pag labas ng VP8 and HTML5 does it mean bili uli ng bagong mediaplayer like what happended sa firstgen wdtv owners?
Some mediaplayers cant play flash files or rmvb.
Tapos pag download etc they still need pcs while the others can only download from torrent.
What if the file is on rapidshare, hotfile etc
Mas maganda mag low power HTPC na maski mas mahal ng kunti, its a real pc
it only needs software updates for mediaplayer classic or splash lite or vlc which are all free and always updated.
You can build a low power consumption dualcore atom with ion system 2gb memory and one terabyte hardrive for only 12.5k all in with a 150 watt power supply. Pg idle nito while downloading its eating only 22 watts pag playback 30 to 40 watts
If you like it all small and ready to use, no building there are the nettops that have even lower power consumption starting at 13.5k mas maliit lang hardrive kasi mobile gamit nila but they can use external hds.
May extra expense for wireless keyboard and mouse but they are easier for browsing files than remotes coz you see all your files at once in
coz they are pcs.
Wala na sakit sa ulo sa future compatibility kasi pc sila, they can download from anywhere not just torrent and do other things aside from hdplayback like watch youtube,facebook,browse, officework, play some games etc.
HTPCs are more flexible and more futureproof. -

fyi: nung ginawa ko sa akin sa 8.5 fw at nagtry ako magdl. nawala yung HDD sa list ko dyan sa neighbor web.. kainis.. -

Hi,
I just upgraded my E8HD HD media player to firmware to 8.5. Just notices a few bugs with it.
1. BT/SAMBA process window pops up when turning on the UNIT.
2. Auto scanning cannot be turned off.
3. It seems when scrolling on the movie under file manager the file doesnt refresh properly.
Questions:
1. how do you enable preview?
2. how do you downgrade to previous firmware?
It seems i like the old firmware. Hoping for your fast response. Im active on forums, and considering many people in the philippines are using this unit, they too have the same questions. Your reply will be forwarded as well to other forums in the philippines so that they can get the answers to these same questions as well.
Also please clean your forums sections and secure it so we can post and share ideas as well, just like with xtreamer\'s website :)

buksan lang yung player then sa PCB meron short na switch dun kabit yung USB na FW then on yung player..
gawa ako tom steps paano buksan player and downgrade or upgrade firmware
nangyari kasi kanina upgrade ako firmware walang lumabas sa screen na status ng upgrading kala ko wala na. pinatay ko yung player ayun wala na display hehehe.
upgrade ako using ovation lcdtv walang display? it takes 3mins saka mag restart saka magpapakita yung display medyo weird ewan ko kung sa LCDTV ko lang. -

How to Downgrade Firmware / or Failed Upgrading firmware:
Warning: Doing this procedure will void your warranty, do it with your own risk. Or contact first your supplier and get consent to do this procedure.
You need to open the player and remove the PCB from case
1. at the back of the player unscrew all the seven screws
2. Remove the FAN connector
3. Remove HDD tray
4. Slide front panel until you see the PCB
5. Remove the 4 screws holding the PCB
6. Put FW in a flash drive root directory...plug it in to the usb slot ng measy....and then follow the picture i sent...use twizer.....turn on the unit.
it will start the downgrade/upgrade.....when it started, then u can remove the twizer.
In my case no status display on my monitor, when my flash drive light then i immediately remove the twizer.
after about 2mins the player restart
GOOD LUCK... again do it with your own risk
pakilagay na lang sa first page siguro para sa FAQ natin at pagpasensyahan nyo na english ko hahaha

happened to me when im upgrading to 8.5 kala ko nasira na.. biglang nag no signal sa plasma tv ko yung unit. no status regarding the update process... i waited for 5 mins.. i turned it off. turned it on.. then ayun biglang may lumabas na menu hehehe..

good thing u told us about the voiding of warranty pag inopen. guys dont open it, just wait for the new fw.. maybe this week meron na. :) -

1. pop up samba/bt process during bootup
2. scanning of file list
3. icon names not refreshing when viewing in file manager
question:
how do i see this menu? where will i go.. yung pede ka mamili ng file modes either preview mode - file list mode. etc..

meron syang thumbnails yung list ko.. kaso di ko alam paano nalagay yun dun.. feeling ko sa mkv kasama yung thumbnail? lets ask annot. sa kanya galing yung list ko hehe. -

Need mo internal HD
Format HD using your player then kabit mo din yung FW sa USB drive (root directory) then format after nya format mag iinstall ng BT support kapag ayaw dun sa settings>system>systemupdate>Extension Package Upgrade
kailangan naka format na HD mo dyan using your player then mapapansin mo sa HD mo meron ng BT at REC folder NTFS files system din sya -
btw ginamit ko wifi dongle is yung sa xtreamer wifi

nakita ko na kung paano yung sa menu na nakapost na pic sa taas. hehehehe.
sa 8.5 fw to ha.. pagbukas ng unit.. lalabas yung icons.. select file manager ... then select source (HDD or USB).. then PRESS MENU sa controller. voila!! -

nakakaconnect naman sa network when using the donggle. yun lang kung kailangan pa iformat wala ako paglalagyan ng mga movies na asa hd ko. yung donggle nagamit ko yung kasama nung binili ko from pinoydvd. -
Got one from sir annot yesterday. ok itong unit na ito. di ko pa nga lang gaanu nakakalikot dahil busy pa sa trabaho.
