agree, nung pilot ng Mandalorian diko alam siya pala yung bida. something great about the voice. episode 4 ko lang tinignan yung credits
sa series talaga siya nag boom, afaik The Equalizer and Triple Frontier miovies ko lang sya naalala, pero sa tv shows dami na.

Parang most of the time, stuntman or body double lang ata gumaganap na Djin Djarin or Mandalorian diba. Pedro.Pascal just provides the voice. Yung lang ata tinanggal ni Mando helmet nya na ginampanan talaga ni Pedro Pascal

Been watching the Korean series Big Bet, about a Korean Gambling lord running Junkets in the Philippines.
Location nito ay sa Philippines ( Depicting Clark/Angeles City Area), 80% of the scenes were shot here.
Kapag ito napanood ni Robin, baka ipa-ban nya rin ito. hahaha
Series shows that the Police and Government is super corrupt, Gun slinging NBI agents entering a church and saying profanities inside. The story is really good though and worth the binge.

Na gets ko yung sentimiyento ni Robin about sa movie Plane. Prior to this movie, may nabalitaan ako na pino-promote ng Jolo or Sulu LGU ang kanilang lugar para sa turismo. Di naman talaga ma de-deny na pugad ng mga bandido ang lugar noon, pero naging matagumpay naman ata ang gobyerno na wakasan ang mga bandido. Wala na rin kasi ako narinig na balita about terorismo o mga nanghostage. Kaya din siguro may balita na pino-promote ang lugar for tourism. Maybe di natin gets yung sentiments ni Sen. Robin kasi di tayondirectly affected. Pero unfair nga naman yung movie lalo na kung parte ka ng Jolo community at nakasalalay ang pinagkakakitaan sa turismo tapos mababalewala yung efforts ng LGU na pabanguhin yung lugar nila. Apektado sila lahat dun. Kaya lawakan lang natin ang ating perspektibo lalo pa at meron talagan maaapektuhan nung palabas.

Yeah a movie but kinda damaging especially if may effort nga na pabanguhin yung lugar para sa turismo.
Now the korean thingy.. havent heard about it.. and prolly reserved for another time or discussion.
Anyway okay naman sa akin yung movie as it is. But all Im saying is it really put Philippines in a bad light particularly those taga Jolo. And I think mas may bearing yung opinyon ng mga taga Jolo kesa sa opinyon natin na ''it is just a movie'' kung di naman tayo directly affected ng movie kasi we live outside Jolo.

Iba din kasi yung white house down or london has fallen. Super far from reality compared to Jolo Sulu na naging pugad talaga ng mga bandido. Madmai kidnappings done by Abu Sayaff meron pa beheadings and other atrocities. And besides those films depict a first world country samantalang Jolo Sulu is from a 3rd world country and a 3rd class municipality.
It's like telling Brad Pitt is ugly and Empoy is ugly. Saan ang mas kapani-paniwala and saan ang mas may damaging effect.
Also a lot of foreigners portrayed as antagonist i. Hollywood are crying foul as well. Being brainwashed by hollywood na ang puti is good while other skin color nationality is bad. If you are a russian na parating portrayed in Hollywood as the villain, kahit fiction pa yan Im sure ubfair and damaging sa pagkatao mo.

To add, okay lang sana if ongoing pa rin ang mga atrocities sa Jolo Sulu kung until now meron pa rin nababalita nakikidnap for ransom or napupugatan ng ulo or meron pa rin bandido nago-operate.. but as far as I know, mukhang nasugpo ng militar ang mga bandido. And from what I heard pino-promote na nga ang lugar as a tourist destination kasi maganda nga rin daw mga beaches and islands dun. So if you are part of the community there, lalo na kung ang income mo is manggaling sa turismo, im pretty sure films like Plane or kung meron pa similar movies in the future depicting Jolo as a No Man's Land, makakasira talaga. Kahit works of fiction pa yan.
I remember when a young Claire Danes visited manila and described it as ''ghastly'' dami nha nag react eh. Di naman fiction coz totoo naman talaga back then and with that one word to describe manila dami nag react. Parang na persona non grata pa ata si Claire Danes. Mas damaging etong movie dahil fiction and pwede i-exaggerate pero ang makakapanood lalo na yung mga di updated sa lugar will take it as it is and would really avoid the place at all cost.
