The LCD Monitors Thread: Tips, Tricks, Tweaks, New Products and Reviews

  • I was quoted 15 k for the Ergotron LX from a local distributor. Medyo mahal daw dahil sa customs etc. but legit and my warranty. I can't deny maganda talaga build quality and looks but I'm reconsidering it. As for the amazon mount, my konting discount for 300 PHP so it's not bad.

I saw my table being sold on Lazada for like 3k only, bili ko dati from a local shop was around 8k tapos lahat parts instead of the mdf board sa china pala. If only my shopee or lazada years ago lol.

Safe ba mag order ng table via Lazada? Kruzo brand. Meron kc silang option for 140 cm x 70 cm x 74 cm. Same height sa existing table ko tapos wider and longer. So parang no need to buy the mount for now. I'm not sure about stability though or damages during shipping.
  • @buypchelph

Yes, it's safe. I'm using a Kruzo table right now with the same dimensions you mentioned. Got it 4 years ago and still good as of this writing. Matibay, malapad, and I will add that it is quite heavy.

Edit: Nung dumating yung item, the box itself is bubble wrapped kaya wala damage. I guess maingat din yung nag-deliver.

AOC, MSI, Viewsonic and other brands that have 3year distro warranties...
  • Hello!
p.s. parang may nabasa ako same thread nito dito long ago pero matagal na at VA panel pa ata yun noon.

    @gowueld
musta paps out of the box colors niyan?

Pero way way better than my previous monitor (MAG241C).

Content consumption (Youtube, Netflix) nalang ako madalas and crypto games eh.
  • Any recommendation for a 120hz (or higher) Ultrawide?

    Edit: 1080P Will do.

Bought a Xitrix 27" 1440p @95hz. For my 2nd monitor. Kinuha ko kasi 1440p for under 10k. After all the discounts, nakuha ko yung Xitrix Monitor for just 9.1k, down from 12.8k.
Sabi rin sa reddit, Xitrix sells rebranded Pixio monitors which have an okay track record.

-- edited by DonBerna on Oct 11 2021, 03:53 AM
  • ^ I have. Merong konti.. and it can also be seen sa UFO test. But the million-dollar question is, are you reading text WHILE you're scrolling? ^_^

Kung brand new yan, solid buy na.
  • any reccomendation na 1080p 24 - 27 inch atleast 120 - 144hz thanks

  • @gowueld

  • quick impressions nung NB H180 arm:
    PROS
    - Solid build. The pipe where you insert the joint which holds the arm (that holds your monitor) are all solid and hard steel.
    - Easy to assemble, and provided acceptable cable management options.
    - Cheap pero sulit, 2k lang bili ko after all the vouchers and discounts na nagamit ko hehe

    CONS

Kung kelanganin ko ulit ng arm, mag North Bayou na lang ako, or kung rebrand man ito ng ibang OEM, parang no need for me to go for the more expensive ones.

Bought it for 9.1k (sale + vouchers din kasi)
    - Happy wala ako nakitang dead pixel.
    - pangit UI nung OSD niya.
    - for a second monitor, this is great.

  • What is the pro of the following specs of Monitor? Mostly ba ng monitor 1500R?

IPS VS VA panel and Curve vs non Curve?

  • What's the best / bang for the buck 27" 1440p Monitor?
  • What's the best / bang for the buck 27" 1440p Monitor?

I'd say ASUS TUF VG279QM. May nakita ako na 22-25k yung range niya. Not bad for the specs and price.
  • anong recommended nyo na 24" 144Hz gaming monitor na under 10k or mas mura pa, ok lang kung VA panel
    ito yung list ko
AOC 24G2 or AOC 24G2E (out of stock yata ito)
  • @drunkonpiss 2

Thanks. And is it a good idea to use a 27 inch 1080p monitor?
  • copy paste ko lang dito boss hehe

    @Basco_Ta_Jolokia
What's the best or bang for the buck 1440p (27") monitor?
    gaming ba sir? tsaka budget?

for gaming, i personally own an MSI MAG274QRF-QD, around 30k price. If you can get it lower, sulit na yan.
IPS panel, 1440p native, 165Hz tsaka 93% sRGB (whatever that means haha) at maganda for mounting kasi magaan dahil yung power brick niya, hiwalay dun sa monitor. Happy naman ako sa performance and maganda picture quality. Mada-download din sa net yung calibration niya so goods.
Other reco for that size yung LG 27GL850-B around 30k din (ito bet ko dati kaso wala ako mahanap in stock) tsaka yung ASUS TUF VG27AQL1A (around 25k)

Kung media, yung ASUS Pro Art PA278QV around 22k.

Maganda rin starting point paps, punta ka rtings, may mga list sila dun ng mga reco nila, tignan mo mga top reco nila and also look at their honorable mentions. dun ako nakahanap ng mga options ko rin nung naghahanap ako

I'll be using it mostly for work, Spreadsheets, Sending Emails, Reports, Zoom Meetings etc. Anak ko mostly ang naglalaro. I have my eyes on the Lenovo G27Q-20 and the Viewsonic VX2705-2kp-mhd, Which are around 17k. Limited budget lang kasi.
  • I have my eyes on the Lenovo Lenovo G27Q-20
gaming monitor to paps ah? But, I see nothing wrong going for a high refresh rate monitor vs the G27Q-10 which is the same thing (panel wise) but with only 75hz refresh rate. Si gowueld yan binili paps, maganda review niya so far. so looks like oks yang choice niyo.

It's cheap like 9.1k ko nabili pero not bad (11-12k ang usual price niya, pero after lazada sales and vouchers, bagsak to 9.1k) .
SPECS: 1440p native, 95hz, IPS display with HDR and Freesync (pero baka yung cheap HDR implementation lang?)
Can't comment on durability yet, kasi 1 week palang sakin, pero base sa research ko, Pixio monitor daw to na rebranded lang ni Xitrix. It resembles this one: PIXIO PX275H<click here for link>

EDIT: Dagdag pampabango sa xitrix, locally made, pero I assume, assembled locally talaga to, Tapos may 3 years local warranty din.

Learned my lesson the hard way, although hindi ako sa lzda or sh0p3 bumili. Pati yung replacement may problem, mas malala pa.

Pag monitors or TV mas mabuti sa physical shop bumili, dapat kase i-test talaga muna yung unit before taking it home.
  • IPS VS VA panel and Curve vs non Curve?

    Gaming: IPS
    Viewing Angle: IPS
    Contrast: VA
    Black Uniformity: VA

Curve: More immersive, better field of view, more costly including graphics card
Non-Curve: Cheaper, probably better for competitive gaming
