Uh-oh.

Jesus C... That's unbelievably bad. I only read comments on different forums, but I've never expected to see this bad of a panel. I've read that AU Optronics (supplies the panels for Asus, etc) is to blame here, but I don't think they are solely the criminal here since this video (and most comments all over the internet) is very telling that Asus really skimped on its quality control. It's really too bad. :(
Paying over the top dollar for this kind of monitor, one should expect top quality as well. Well, I'm not planning on buying this generation's high end monitors anyway as I'm waiting for Polaris/Pascal with DP1.3 cards and maybe HDR capable monitors to come out, and see how these pan out this year.

Pero I agree with you, ok lang yung backlight bleed at IPS glow as long as hindi naman napaka obvious na distracting pag may dark scenes sa movies or games.
^yah mas ok talaga pag calibrate mas aayusin pa yung brightness at gamma......

yan lang panget sa pinas walang refund. dito sa US kahit 30 days or minsan up to 3 months pa na puwede mong irefund kapag hindi ka satisfied.... so iwasan na lang nga kung may issue at walang chance ma refund. but true 800$ monitor dapat talaga almost perfect na.....
Finished calibrating mine. Ok palang gamitin yung calibration sa lagos.nl.
With regards sa ips glow vs backlight bleed, tama yung sabi ni MrBungle. Yung IPS glow ng luma naming monitor may blueish to purple glow vs bleeding na more on sa sides mas kita.
Even XB270HUs marami ding may bleeding.
@Vladz
Just in case gusto mo sukatin baka pwede mo dalhin yung monitor mo tapos pasukat mo yung stand ng XB271HU.

I dunno, as far as my observations go in the forums most na nagrereport ng issue are those who bought on Amazon and Newegg.
Is it possible na may issues na from Asus to he third party vendors?

Recently bought myself my first gaming monitor. Lg 24gm77. Im wondering why i cannot run games on 144hz using the displayport...im using gigabyte gtx 980. Windows 10. I have all the current drivers. Whenever i go to the nvidia control panel im only allowed to select upto 60hz. If i connect using dvi d i can switch to 144hz though l....

Hi guys, is it still worth buying the Benq 2420G monitor now? I'm still using am old HP w2207h and was thinking of upgrading since I got a gtx 970 and want to try out this g sync tech. thanks!

Yep. Matagal pa maluluma ang 1080p.
Tama. Matagal pa mag-stay ang 1080p for PC gaming
I have Core i7 4790K + GeForce GTX 970, around 45 FPS lang nakukuha ko pag maxed out ang current games like The Witcher 3 and Grand Theft Auto V
many thanks for your advice. I appreciate it. After upgrading to the GTX 970, I felt something lacking :) It must be a premonition that my GTX 570 broke down
@sleepygeepy
What Acer products are we talking about? XB240H/XB270H?

hindi ko din maset to 144hz after ko switch from dvi to display port from nvidia control panel. Palitan mo directly from control panel> appearance and personalization > adjust screen reso > advance setting > monitor tab > then change refresh rate.
afterwards validate mo sa nvidia control panel naka setup na to 144hz. napansin ko lang nung naka 144hz sa nvidia control panel under PC category 1080p. sa upper category ULTRA HD naka native 60hz.
