  • What's the most affordable G-Sync 1440p IPS monitor right now?

I think Viewsonic XG2703-GS is the cheapest 1440p G-Sync monitor available locally. Priced at Php 35.4K but it comes with a 27-inch IPS panel and 165Hz refresh rate.

    HAHA
    XB271Hu pala!

dipa ata ako nag kape pag post ko nyan.
  • Sa mga naka XB271HU ng acer.

May pupunta tech sa bahay namin bukas to check my unit.

Kapag nag 'wake up' yung monitor ko, mis-aligned yung gitna. May hati tapos di pantay.

Hindi ba nakukuha sa OFF mo then ON ulit ng monitor tapos mawawala yan and yan yung issue ng panel ng pg279q or xb271hu. Na fix na nila yan. Dito sa US ipapadala mo sa acer or asus mismong monitor mo para i update nila sa latest firmware pero yung iba natakot baka palitan ng unit imbis na walang dead pixel or minimal bleed eh baka mapalitan ng iba na may dead pixel or malakas bleed.

Nangyayari din sa pg279q ko yan ang solusyon lang OFF tapos ON mo lang ulit monitor mo at sobrang bihira lang mangyari. Off and on lang.

  • Hi mga sir,

Planning to upgrade po my monitor since 2009 pa siya. Mostly for pubg gaming lang siya talaga or minsan movie na rin. Ano po recommend niyo? Asus 24 VG248QE or Zowie by BenQ 24 XL2411 ang naisip ko.

Pa help naman po. Gusto ko na bumili e hehe.

    Current rig

    i5 4460
    Gtx960
    16gb ram

    Upgrade GPU next yr.

    Thank you.

Kapag nag display off or nag standby si monitor.

Kung gamit mo na connection sir is HDMI, baka naka set to Limited RGB mode (16-235) instead of Full RGB model (0-255).

    - If using a Radeon videocard make sure to go to Radeon Settings >> Display Tab >> Set Pixel Format to RGB 4:4:4 PC Standard (Full RGB)
    - If using an Nvidia videocard make sure to go to NV Control Panel >> Adjust Desktop Color Settings >> Digital Color Format (RGB) / Dynamic Range (Full).

Another option is gamitin mo yung DVI connection instead of HDMI kasi mas pang PC monitor ang DVI connection and yung tamang video signal ibibigay ng videocard.

Once sure ka na Full RGB color range yung output ng videocard, pwede mo subukan yung calibrated settings / ICC color profile here: <click here for link>
  • Are there monitors that need the Displayport connection to maximize it's display potential?
  • Are there monitors that need the Displayport connection to maximize it's display potential?

MOST FreeSync monitors require DisplayPort to use FreeSync. Obviously kelangan AMD din card mo.

Exception lang for some LG Freesync monitors that use FreeSync-over-HDMI

Yung laptop mo sir walang HDMI na pwede gamitin for testing? Ang VGA output kasi ng laptop is analog only, mas maganda kung pwede mo i-test yung monitor by connecting to HDMI or DVI output ng laptop or PC.

  • @jmiloscruz

Ano yung brightness settings ng Infini M7 mo sir? I think masyado yata na exaggerate ng camera yung backlight bleed or mataas ang exposure settings ng camera. Basically try to take a picture and make sure it looks as close as what your eyes see in real life :-)

May tips si TFT Central on how to check for backlight bleed:
Note: if you want to test your own screen for backlight bleed and uniformity problems at any point you need to ensure you have suitable testing conditions. Set the monitor to a sensible day to day brightness level, preferably as close to 120 cd/m2 as you can get it (our tests are once the screen is calibrated to this luminance). Don't just take a photo at the default brightness which is almost always far too high and not a realistic usage condition. You need to take the photo from about 1.5 - 2m back to avoid capturing viewing angle characteristics, especially on IPS-type panels where off-angle glow can come in to play easily. Photos should be taken in a darkened room at a shutter speed which captures what you see reliably and doesn't over-expose the image. A shutter speed of 1/8 second will probably be suitable for this.

Also that kind of backlight bleed na malaki ang clouding sa corners is usually common sa monitors with IPS panels. Ang VA panel kasi mas magaling magtago ng backlight bleed dahil mas kaya niya i-block yung light coming from the backlight.

ok na sir kinalikot ko lahat ng settings and na manage ko reduce yung bleed to the point na di ko na siya kita sa black screen. overall still happy with this monitor dhil sa 144hz hehe sunod ko naman itry yung ultrawide para meron ako seperate monitor for movies
  • @beansboy1990

You can also think about the Samsung LS24F350FHEXXP which has a slightly bigger screen size at 24-inches. It is also using an IPS panel and is FreeSync capable (72Hz).

If you want a bigger screen, the BenQ GC2870H is also an option. Comes with a large 28-inch screen for laid back movie watching and immersive gaming. The BenQ uses a VA panel which has very good contrast and viewing angles better than a TN panel monitor.

Kelan kaya babalik.
  • I think Viewsonic XG2703-GS is the cheapest 1440p G-Sync monitor available locally. Priced at Php 35.4K but it comes with a 27-inch IPS panel and 165Hz refresh rate.

I am considering 2 monitors now
VIEWSONIC VX3209-2K and the VIEWSONIC XG2703-GS...
I've been using a Samsung EH325000 ( VA PANEL, DIRECT LED ) for a few years before it died and im back to a 27" monitor..

The VX3209-2k as I've researched uses an "IPS-Like" panel lang from BOE, im pretty sure ill be okay with the 31.5" display with 1440p but I cant find details on how strong the AG coating is on the display, I dislike strong matte coatings like on the PG278Q in where you can notice rainbow/color like effects on the screen especially on whites/solid colors, Ive also read that there is a new model coming out the VX3211-2k

For the XG2703-GS i like the 144-165Hz and Gsync and the possibility of lesser/better controlled BLB due to a lose frame compared to the PG279Q , its teh same panel so performance is going to be exactly the same or very similar. But I cant decide ~__~ if only AU Optronics made a 32" version of the said panel...
  • Descended from being an Ultrawide Master Race. Currently hunting for faster monitor ulit. Iniisip ko Benq XL2411, Viewsonic XG2401 or Asus VG248QE. Or may masa-suggest pa kayo na iba?

    Samsung 23.5" LC24FG70FQEXXP Curved FHD 144Hz Quantum Dot? (20k)
  • ^Infini M7

I'm also eyeing the XG2401 pero baka maliitan ako sa 24inch
  • @fakuryu

Okay din kaya sya for Xbox One X use?

Torn between ultrawide or 144hz ano suggestion nyo?

At that price range (around Php 15K) I think best option mo na yung Viewsonic XG2401 or yung Infini M7. For PC games sulit na yung Infini M7 since 27-inches ang size and yung GPU mo is powerful enough to handle 2560x1440 at high framerates. Also yung panel ng Infini M7 looks to be IPS or VA according to feedback of other owners.

Pero kung gagamitin mo ang monitor for console use (Xbox / PS4) then Viewsonic XG2401 might be better dahil sa native 1080p resolution. I'm not sure kung maganda ang scaling ng 1080p image sa Infini M7.
  • Hi Guys,

Pasuggest naman po ng budget monitor for photo and video editing at least 22 inches and Full HD. budget sana is 6k.

    Thank you!

Mas maganda sir kung share mo sa thread yung budget mo for the monitor and ano yung games na usually nilalaro mo on your PC. Other than games, ginagamit mo din yung PC for movies, office work, video or photo editing, etc?
