  • xg 2402 is available na in amazon.

Torn between ultrawide or 144hz ano suggestion nyo? Hindi ko pa natry kahit ano sa dalawa, currently using a 1080p 60hz monitor.

Mas maganda sir kung share mo sa thread yung budget mo for the monitor and ano yung games na usually nilalaro mo on your PC. Other than games, ginagamit mo din yung PC for movies, office work, video or photo editing, etc?

    SIR @sleepygeepy

For gaming lang talaga at movies siguro.

around 25-35k siguro or kung may bang for the buck na 27" sana
  • @cxiao12

Kung ang budget mo sir is Php 25K - 35K here are some good options. BTW, these are all 27-inch monitors with 144Hz refresh rate or higher:

    Php 15K = Infini M7 (1440p flat TN panel 144Hz FreeSync)
Php 24.5K = ASUS ROG STRIX XG27VQ (1080p curved VA panel 144Hz FreeSync)
    Php 27.9K = Samsung LC27FG70FQEXXP (1080p curved QLED VA panel 144Hz FreeSync)
    Php 35.4K = Viewsonic XG2703-GS (1440p flat IPS panel 165Hz G-Sync)

Yung Infini M7 is a real bang-for-buck monitor but currently out of stock yata sa seller. Although advertised siya as TN panel, chances are it is using a VA or IPS panel based sa feedback ng Infini M7 owners. So good siya for both games and movies and yung GTX 1070 is more or less adequate for 1440p gaming. Hindi lang ako sure sa warranty or kung may distro support ang Infini M7 so better inquire first before buying.

If you are willing to spend more, ASUS XG27VQ and Samsung LC27FG70FQEXXP are your next best options. Both are using a curved Samsung SVA panel so mataas ang contrast which will be good for watching movies or playing games in a dimly lit environment. Between the two mas prefer ko yung Samsung dahil may Quantum Dot layer yung panel which is the same tech na gamit sa Samsung QLED TV's. In my experience very rich at vibrant yung image quality ng Samsung. Another good thing about these two monitors is they are 1080p, so expect high framerates with your GTX 1070.

Lastly kung mas focused ka sa games and you want G-Sync capability, yung Viewsonic XG2703-GS is a good option. Although siya yung highest priced among the 4 monitors, siya din ang bang-for-buck G-Sync option available. Yung maganda sa Viewsonic is the G-Sync feature so tear-free at micro-stutter free yung gameplay mo with the GTX 1070, even at 1440p where framerates can dip below 60 fps.

  • To the left is my Infini M7 and right is Benq RL2455. I've scaled it both on 1080p for taking these pictures and both monitors are on the same percentage of brightness and contrast.
    <click here for link>
    <click here for link>
    <click here for link>

I personally think that M7 is an IPS but I can be wrong. What I dislike on this monitor is that walang personal presets for each mode like sa Benq ko. Gamit ko kasi sa work pareho at mostly white background ang gamit ko sa work at hindi ko masyadong gusto sobrang liwanag dahil night shift ako. So I need to put the contrast down manually and do my calibration everytime I switch from work to game presets, vice versa.

Im eyeing the Asus MG278Q and costs 27k since ang hirap bumalik sa 1080p once you get to experience higher resolution. If I want an IPS (MG279Q) that's 32k and is already out of my budget. Lol!

The single dead pixel is not really noticeable it's just I keep on finding it because I know of it but there are many angles that you wont see it even if you try hard to look for it so I'm thinking if I would need to change my monitor or not.

If not of the dead pixel and if hindi ko sya ginagamit sa work and need to calibrate it from time to time. This is the perpect monitor for it's price. Kita mo nyo naman difference ng images from the pictures above. But then again, it's still subjective depending on your person's preference. But I hope this helps some of you who are looking for this monitor. Btw, this is not a review, just sharing my thoughts for M7.

Sorry. Also, naka-activiate ang Low Blue Light ko sa M7 when I took the pictures. Late ko na nakita.

how about po itong mga monitors na to
    Asus 27 inch MG279Q LED IPS 144hz freesync 2560 x 1440p - 31,800
    AOC Agon AG271QX 27 inch 2560x1440 144Hz 1ms Gaming
    PHP 28500.00
May your framerates be high, and temperatures low.
  • @cxiao - if you have that kind of budget then go for Viewsonic XG2703-GS. 165hz, 1440p, gsync, IPS pa at 35k. Dagdag ka na lang ng konti. Kakapost lang ni sir Sleepy ng review.

    AOC Agon AG271QX 27 inch 2560x1440 144Hz 1ms Gaming - PHP 28500.00

Yung ASUS MG279Q is also ok... pero just add Php 3.6K and go for the Viewsonic XG2703-GS instead. Yung Viewsonic has the same IPS panel but capable of 165Hz and comes with G-Sync, so perfect match with your GTX 1070. I don't think ASUS MG279Q is worth buying now unless naka RX Vega videocard ka. Take note na yung FreeSync range ng ASUS MG279Q is 35Hz - 90Hz only so hindi siya true 144Hz FreeSync monitor.

Take note yung AOC AGON AG271QX is using a TN panel, so maybe not an ideal monitor for watching movies dahil sa narrow viewing angles and low contrast. You can also get the Infini M7 for Php 15K and has basically the same specs. Kung gagamitin mo ang monitor purely for gaming at hindi mo gagamitin ang FreeSync feature then ok din ang AOC AG271QX. ASUS MG278Q is also an alternative at Php 26.5K.
  • @coldheartedsnob

Yung Zotac GTX 1050 Ti Mini has digital outputs only. So kung kailangan mo ikabit ang videocard to your monitor kailangan mo bumili ng active HDMI-to-VGA adapter. Something like this:

I-co-convert niya yung digital HDMI signal ng videocard mo to an analog VGA signal. Make sure to buy a good VGA cable din para maganda ang signal quality na makuha ng monitor.
  • mga sir/ma am question lang po ano po mas better all around Ben Q xl2411 or Viewsonic XG2401 144hz?

casual gamer po and some watching movies . thanks po sa makakasagot.. need more info po
  • @caferrer

Have your tried f.lux or similar program to adjust your monitor brightness during the night?
  • @knorrcubes
mga sir/ma am question lang po ano po mas better all around Ben Q xl2411 or Viewsonic XG2401 144hz?

Kung same lang ang price nila at hindi mo pa nabibili ang monitor, I suggest go for Viewsonic XG2401 para may FreeSync capability. Maganda naman ang reviews ng XG2401 and kung may plans ka gumamit ng Radeon videocard, at least ma take advantage mo yung FreeSync feature.

For almost the same price, I would consider yung Infini M7 since you get a 27-inch screen and 1440p resolution. Panel is advertised as TN but looks to be IPS or VA, so image quality might be better than the BenQ or the Viewsonic.

Another option din ang LG 24GM77 which is still advertised sa pricelist ni PCH*b for Php 13,999
  • @sleepygeepy

sir, kung bang for the buck would you get the asus ROG Strix Monitor XG27VQ
    Samsung LC27FG70FQEXXP 27in Curved

Pero worth it ba talaga yung additional 10k for the viewsonic sir?

sir, kung bang for the buck would you get the asus ROG Strix Monitor XG27VQ or Samsung LC27FG70FQEXXP 27in Curved

Well binili ko yung Samsung LC27FG70FQEXXP last May and siya ang monitor na gamit ko ngayon if it means anything to you :-)

Yung gusto ko sa kaniya is the 1080p resolution which is very GPU friendly. So kahit naka RX 580 or GTX 1060 videocard, mataas parin ang framerates at nasusulit ko yung 144Hz capability. Pero yung pinaka selling point niya para sa akin is the Quantum Dot panel at kakaiba talaga yung rich at vibrant image niya. To get an idea look at this video: <click here for link>

Yung ASUS ROG STRIX XG27VQ looks to be a good buy din at maganda naman reviews niya overall. Yung gusto ko sa kaniya is the 1080p resolution which is GPU friendly and yung FreeSync range of 48Hz - 144Hz which is very good for a VA panel monitor. Wala siyang Quantum Dot layer like the Samsung pero color accurate naman siya for a gaming monitor according sa review ni Techspot: <click here for link>.

Maporma din ang monitor in terms of aesthetics kung gusto mo yung ASUS ROG look and RGB accents. So it might be an advantage kung gusto mo i-sell yung monitor in the future.

Pero worth it ba talaga yung additional 10k for the viewsonic sir?

Tingin ko sulit siya kasi 1440p, IPS panel, 165Hz, and G-Sync. So parang budget version ng ASUS PG279Q but without the painful price. In general mas maganda ang implementation ng G-Sync over FreeSync and since naka GTX 1070 ka ngayon it's really worth using when playing games. Also capable siya of 165Hz or 165 fps so may allowance ka pa for future videocard upgrades tulad ng GTX 1080 Ti or Nvidia Ampere / Volta. Kung masusulit mo naman yung monitor in a span of 5 years and magagamit mo parin ang G-Sync over the next 2-3 videocard upgrades, tingin ko sulit narin kahit Php 35K ang price.

Unlike mga naka 144Hz FreeSync monitors ngayon (like me) stuck na ako sa RX 580 and hindi naman ako willing to buy an overpriced RX Vega card. So even kung gusto ko mag 1440p or higher framerates, walang FreeSync capable GPU option other than RX Vega. Maybe next year sana bumaba ang price ng RX Vega, or mas dumami ang high-end Radeon videocards but I'm not holding my breath :-)

Sometimes kahit naka cap at 74 fps lumalagpas parin, so I would set it to 72 fps - 73 fps para hindi talaga lumagpas sa 75Hz refresh rate.
  • @sir Sleepygeepy

    Maraming salamat po idol...
  • @sleepygeepy

Hirap mag hanap sa view sonic XG2703-GS puro out of stock was looking into that monitor. maganda kasi reviews niya

    @cxiao12

  • @krpk - Thank you for the very useful suggestion. I've just download it and I was amazed na may software pala na ganito at sya na nagbahala sa lahat. :-)

  • @earlZ

Try mo sir sa softbox solution, ang sabi sakin by next week daw ang dating kasi nasa warehouse pa, though mag iincrease daw sila ng price most probably due to custom duties. Tinanong ko yung recent price nila 34k
  • @cxiao12

    Kay Annot diba?

36,800 yung most recent posting niya.. 2k+ daw via LBC to cebu, I sent another PM para ma clarify exactly how much that 2k+ is.
  • Nice informative video :-)

  • hi guys looking for an entry level 1080p 60hz monitor, ayaw ko ung malaki siguro 18.5"-21" lang. My specs are g4400, rx 460, 4gb ram , gamit kong monitor ay syncmaster 732w 17" 900p. Ang problema ko is parang madilim siya at sira nman mga buttons pang adjust ng brightness, contrast, etc. Kaya naisip ko bka upgrade n lng.

    TY

    Nice informative video :-)

    Nice find!

That video pretty much proves that there's still tearing at high frame rates and that variable refresh rate tech is not just a gimmick.

On the other hand, whether or not an individual can subjectively notice the difference during gaming is another matter altogether.
