Nakita ko lang sa BENtahan ng laptop :-)
  • @Bravo how much sony 43x8500 ?

    Got it at Php 34.5k.

I use a Sony 43X8500G as my pc monitor now. IPS, 120hz refresh native, Decent HDR, and Sony's fastest input lag model to date. (RTings review great as a PC Monitor) I set windows to 1080p120 if I want to game, or 4K60 if I want to watch 4K content... HDR is pretty impressive. Don't really use any adaptive sync/vrr tech at all. My i9-9900K-GTX1080 SLI setup runs games just fine to me.

Thanks for the info. Nice to know price has gone down.

What year model is that? When did you buy and is that a non-promo price?
  • So Aorus ad27qd kaya ako or yang sony 43x8500 hahaha
  • X8500G = 2019 model. Bought it just a month ago
  • ^ Great.

Sana next year magkaroon ang TCL ng Free Sync TV's with 120-Hz refresh rate. Mura kasi ang TCL.

TCL 50P65US ang gamit ko ngayon for PC gaming. It's 4K @ 60 Hz pero 1440p lang gamit ko for gaming dahil sa RX 580.
  • @bintsmok

Saan monitor mo dati? How much yan tcl mo?
  • @Bravoexo
    Got it at Php 34.5k.

Ideal sa akin yung specs sheet ng panel na yan and mukhang bang for the buck sya :)

Also, I've tried searching for review about that panel sa Rtings, but I cannot find it :(

    Thanks!

    @sleepygeepy

Siguro dahil 21:9 29-inch vs 16:9 50-inch.

    How much yan tcl mo?

    Php 21,995 ang TCL 50P65US.

Mas maganda yung kay Bravoexo. Yun na lang bilhin mo if you have the budget.

Salamat sa advise regarding yung sa Samsung TV's nasa 100k pala yung mga un XD, ang max budget ko ksi is around 35k and below.

Alam ko meron mga more affordable TV's with native 120Hz refresh rate. Masyado lang madami brands like TCL, Vizio, Hisense, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Coocaa etc... sila yung usual suspects... pero hindi ko pa na-research which models ang may native 120Hz operation. Mas ok magtanong sa PinoyDVD kasi mas madami may experience with those TV's and which ones to choose for gaming.

But usually malalaman mo naman na may native 120Hz support kung yung TV may advertised feature that sounds like "TruMotion X-Clarity Flow 240Hz etc etc" or something similar. If you see an advertised feature that mentions 240Hz / 480Hz / 960Hz operation then for sure may native 120Hz refresh rate yung TV.

Also some other things to consider when using those TV's as a large screen gaming monitor...

    - Most of them do not support FreeSync yet, so baka mapilitan ka maglaro with some form of vsync or endure tearing.
    - Most of them do not have DisplayPort inputs so yung 120Hz operation at above 1080p might not work.
    - Most of them do have HDMI 2.0 inputs to support 120Hz at 4K. But yung problem is gaming videocards do not have HDMI 2.0.

So unless yung TV was designed for both console and PC gaming... chances are magagamit mo lang is 1080p 120Hz or 4K 60Hz with your PC without variable refresh.
  • Wala naman pixio monitors sa atin noh? May revised 165hz pala si Aorus ad27qd hehe,
  • Hi. I have a 4-year old PC and I'm planning to upgrade my GPU to play Monster Hunter World. I'm planning to get a Galax GTX 1660 TI EX White 1-Click OC. Sa mga nabasa ko, it's okay to get Acer Nitro VG270-P as long as I play at 1080p on Very High settings. Ok lang po ba to?
  • @jagg18

The Acer Nitro VG270-P is a good choice and would be a good pairing with your GTX 1660 Ti. But having said that, any 1080p monitor would do and it really depends on your preferences, what features you want while gaming, and of course your budget :-)
  • @sleepygeepy

Thanks for your confirmation. But would you say na this is the best choice at the 15k price point? Sayang hindi ko naabutan yung sale a few weeks ago.

Casual gamer lang naman ako and not very particular sa features ng monitors. I will mostly use it for playing MHW and maybe some MOBAs; kabitan ng Switch from time to time. Bonus na lang yung 1080p and kung 120hz ba ang refresh rate or what-not haha.
  • @jagg18

Siya na yung cheapest 144Hz gaming monitor with IPS panel. So if you are looking for a monitor with IPS panel really hard to beat yung Acer Nitro VG270-P in terms of value. Yung sale is extended until August 31 so aabot ka pa :-)

Since you play MHW and MOBA's I would suggest na you look at monitors with an IPS or VA panel then yung size will depend on your preference nalang. But I think 1080p resolution and a 27-inch screen size is a good starting point for you. Here are some suggestions:

    Php 12,990 = ACER NITRO VG270-P (27-inch 1080p flat IPS 144Hz) *sale price
    Php 17,900 = AOC C27G1 (27-inch 1080p curved VA 144Hz)
    Php 18,520 = MSI OPTIX MAG271CR (27-inch 1080p curved VA 144Hz)
    Php 19,000 = LG 27GL650F-B (27-inch 1080p flat IPS 144Hz)
    Php 19,710 = ASUS VG279Q (27-inch 1080p flat IPS 144Hz)

  • @sleepygeepy

  • Sir Mamba. How much kay Pctrabaho yung IPS version?
  • Anyone knows a good monitor with the following specs:

    1) 27" and below (preferably 24")
    2) 1440p (2560x1440)
    3) IPS panel
    4) can pivot 90 degrees (see pic below)
    5) Flicker Free / Low Blue Light
    6) Available sa Manila
    7) Less than P20,000

note: I will use this as my secondary monitor so no need yung 144hz+. Mostly for watching video/browsing/etc. Not for gaming.

edit: im looking at the BenQ PD2500Q and PD2700Q. Seems good, any comments on this?

  • ^ 25k un acer xb271hu sa pc sea worsst! :p
  • Hello, I'm back.

Question, ganito kasi yung situation ko now, I have a super old GTX-680 on my PC with the ff. specs:
    i5-6600K
    8 GB RAM

When playing MHW, the game's always crashing kasi indicated sa Settings na I'm using 1.92GB/1.96GB VRAM.

I still haven't bought yung 1660ti and I'm wondering if buying it is the way to go. Should I buy the 2060 or can I settle for the older gen 2nd hand?

Ang monitor ko is most likely going to be the VG270-P na.
  • @Bravo how much sony 43x8500 ?

Just visited the mall for the first time since buying the X8500G, and quite surprised that the price for the 43X8500G actually shot up. Php 43K the one that I saw...
