Finally you are dead. Meet your replacement
Phillips 10.5w, 1055 lumens, php 399, 2 year warranty
Rewired the fixture, removed old one and added a simple e27 socket. Chose this one because larger surface area means its a little less nakakasilaw compared to the test bulb (a normal sized omni 800 lumen 9 watt). Omni had a 299 peso similar spherical bulb but it was smaller diameter and higher wattage (around 12) for similar lumens.
And I needed omnidirectional light, otherwise i would have gotten something flat to concentrate light downwards. Omni has some bulbs with this shape

as Megasyxx mentioned... yung Circular FL tube is as nasty than a 40w FL tube if you use a Magnetic Ballast with Starter
sana meron ganito style na LED

sana meron ganito style na LED
the one I saw was close to that shape, not as tall though
anyway, here's a new LED bulb that simulates the flickering light of a wooden torch

Asking opinion mga paps!
I've been using this cheapo type LED tube for almost 2yrs! and I still have spare lying around... bumili kasi ako ng mga extra spare since it's my first time trying this brand and at the same time may SALE yung Hardware store.
naisipan ko lang lagyan yung Shoe Rack ng 2 of this from side-to-side (vertical) tapos nag lagay ako ng on/off switch at siguro bihira ko din siya i-ON! hindi pa siya permanent, naka double tape lang kasi baka maisipan kong gawin horizontal position... 3layers yung shoe rack and each rows pwede pagkasyahin 3pair of shoes tapos height or clearance ng each shelves from one another is 10inch tall.
Since I already have spare of these led tube, eto nalang kaya gamitin ko or Mas maganda ba bumili nalang ako ng LED strip for the shoerack? may inverter pa ba yun? gusto ko sana pwede direct 220volts at pwede i-series yung connection!
(pics posted) or buy nalang ng LED strip for the clothes and shoerack? bihira ko din siya gamitin, but it's nice to have a lighting setup...
Kung LED strip, what brand and specs will you recommend and any idea sa price? by meter or set/kit ba siya kapag binile...
Salamat sa mga sasagot!

Update ko lang thread.
Yung Firefly 5w bulb died last monday after 2 years and 10 months of service. Mostly used for 6 to 8 hours a day. Di na rin masama for 150 pesos.
May led tubes and housing parang florescent tube na mura sa mall. Anyone tested it or have one at home ? Worth it kaya ?

If you buy sealed LED bulbs, pwede gamitin outside.
If may butas like below
papasukan ng tiny insects. So kailangan linisin from time to time. usually remove the plastic dome then empty the bodies

Is there still reason to buy GES and other brands kung meron namang GE and Phillips? Bukod sa price (which is a very small factor para sa isang tech aware na pumipili at bumibili ng led bulds), meron pa bang ibang lamang ang cheaper brands?
Lesser brands give off blue-puple tinted white light -- sobrang pangit tignan from a distance and even when nearby. Some stores terribly fail their "green energy campaign" or whatever you might call it by going to the best watt/lumen /price brand - nagmumukhang ilaw sa loob ng kotse yung ilaw sa office/store.

But of course... This industry needs healthy competition. We need to support the best of the "lesser brands" to drive the prices down.
Buy and use them in non-critical rooms or rooms where light is rarely used.

high end GES and any other more expensive but has a better lumen per watt rating lamp is better used in heavily used places. You save more and get the most of the higher lumen per watt since nakabukas palagi. Bonus sa GES pag 5 year warranty since heavily used lights die sooner.
if the light reallly is rarely used and you dont mind a fire risk, use the cheapest bulb that gives the required amount of lumens, even if its CFL although chinese no name led's might be cheaper

if price and lumens per watt are similar for the GES 5 year warranty models then the 5 year warranty itself may be the reason to buy. Of course if meron ground ang electrical system ninyo that causes GES nightlight syndrome then GES is not for you

may gamit akong Philips 3W LED bulb na buhay pa rin approx 3 years after I purchased it... it still has the luminosity as when I first used it....
I use it as bulb for my lamp shade... I use it at least 8 hours a day for the last 3 years.... 8 years more to go.

usually mas maganda modular. as in meron sensor tapos meron bulb na hiwalay. So pag nasira sensor or bulb pwede palitan and of course you can change the bulb to whatever bulb you want
cdrking light sensor is cheap but its too insensitive, the 88 peso night light sa japan home has a better sensor. And sira kaagad.
so go for branded. You could try the tronix light sensor. Sa ace/handyman meron branded light sensor, one of them needs wiring since its not an all in one thing but at least you can move the sensor to a spot where it sees the sun

Thanks sa info boss. Also I'm planning to replace out circular ceiling fluorescent light sa room.

Get a wide-angled LED bulb, around 250-270 degrees, if you want to maximize the light of a low wattage bulb. Omni has a 6w, 500lm, 270deg LED bulb and GES has a 5w, 400lm, 2-yr warranty bulb (no beam angle indicated sa box pero ang shape ng bulb suggests that it's wide-angled).
Pero kung may iniiwasan kang part of the room, better get narrow-angled bulbs, 180deg or lower, or put wide-angled bulbs in an open fitting/casing.

last sunday kumukurap yung ilaw tapos biglang namatay...
20watt yung fluorescent tube yung mataba at maiksi. Plan to replace with LED tubes... ano ba maganda T5 or T8? and what brand? kung magpalit ba ako, buong light fixtures na ba ang papalitan...
kung possible flourescent lang ang palitan... my special wiring bang gagawin aside from removing the ballast and starter?

Image to your left is yung sa aming brand ng LED tube wiring kahit I rekta mo sa wires iilaw...
meron din kami Electronic Ballast fixture na converted to LED Tube for T8-600mm version (which is T12/T10-20w and T8 18w) ang ginawa ko is remove wiring to ballast on the other end, and solder the Wire from the removed wires na dudugtong sa koryente from the Tube's connector
Consult Manual first.... baka merong special Instructions

supposedly dapat pareho lang ang wiring diagram sa LED tube, which is direct to source.... ewan ko lang kung si Omni or Firefly merong ganito na LED
until then follow the intruction manual on that LED circular... kung meron na sa A*E or H**dym*n

Agree, it's safe to follow the voltage/current rating nung led kung meron mang mabibili.
Btw, ang tibay ng ganyan namin. Mahigit 15 years na di napupundi. Starter lang yata napalitan ko once.
@Vashtard
You mean wala ka pang nakikitang circular led of that size?

if you meant na minimal replacement (which is tatangalin yung starter and Ballast) to become LED Circular which is wala ako nakita sa A*E and H***ym*n
