LED Lightbulbs - super efficient light bulbs

  • Bad trip itong N*led 10w dimmable bulb. Naka dalawang palit na ko ... ayun 2 na entries sa receipt eh wala pang 1 year ito last May 2016 lang twice na napundi. Malamang mapupuno ng entries itong receipt bago mag out of warranty hehe.
  • Bakit may entries pa?
Two years naman warranty kahit ilang palit daw.
Sa ngayon may 2 dates na nakalagay sa receipt - May 2016 nabili then palit nung Oct and this Jan.

    @supermanster
Uu yun nga 3x dimmable 10w bro. Ito kasi first na gumamit ako ng N*led and dimmable pa.
  • Ah orig receipt pala dala mo. Hanggang April 2018 kahit masira ulit papalitan nila.

Pag matutulog naka dimmest setting.
  • Hi,

Nakasale pala sa ace hardware sm north sa saturday. From 10 am to 12 noon meron pang plus 10 percent yung may sm advantage card.

Almost same lang price wala pang 400.

firefly, omni and GES are IMHO good quality. Okay they might not last as long as phillips but they make up for it with lower price. Look at the box kung ilang hours ang lifespan. Most likely half price pero more than half ang lifespan so sulit
Thanks.
  • just make sure that walang ground sa circuits. pag meron, GES lamps glow weakly when the switch is off

and madaming GES na style na may butas

papasukan ng insect pag used outside

otherwise GES is good. Super easy to RMA
  • GES bulbs nearing the end of their lifespan tend to partially die meaning a few emitters conk out while others stay lit. Compared to other brands that totally die out .. just my observation.

I have a 7w bulb that's now 6 years old and still usable but with some emitters busted on one side.
So far parang OK sya. Mas maliliit bulbs compared to GES. And about the circular LED, we opted to replace na lang the whole ceiling light with one na may E27. Hehe. Mas madali pa magpalit in case mapundi yung ilaw.
  • GES 5 year warranty series not only has an exceptionally long warranty, they have great lumen per watts. 100 lumens per watts for new models. Only a few other bulbs can do that.

if there is no problem with grounding, if its inside (few insects), and the bulb is on for long periods of time consider high lumen/watt bulbs
  • Matbay talaga GES.
  • Another GE led bulb died on me, this is the 2nd one and mukhang bagsak sa longevity, I was expecting more from this brand.

GE 7w died on me months ago after 1 year of use, but itong bago 10w died after 5 months!!! Hindi naman mahirap magpa warranty ng GE sa Ace, but hassle lang...and never ko na experience yung ganitong kabilis na deads sa Firefly.
  • Sa mga binili ko wala pa nasira.

me isa lang but in fairness, the part of the house it was in suffered electrical problems, shorts, breaker tripping due to corrosion and water leaking though the roof
Meron ba kayong recommended brand na dimmable both circular and bulb type?
Yung circular-type kasi(either e27 or not) sa living area ko plan ilagay and yung bulb naman sa kwarto.

    Thanks.

  • I have never seen a GES dimmable bulb tapos circular pa.

NXLed has dimmable normal shape led bulbs, I dont know of any other brand na meron dimmable

  • found some super cheap chinese LED bulbs, and in a multi level airconditioned with escalator store at that.

    15 pesos for 3w
    18 pesos for 5w

lightbulb with light sensor, with a twist
  • widely available na ba yan locally or on selected hardware store palang... any idea sa price?

recently bought the Firefly Dust to Dawn E27 bulb for testing muna....
  • the problem with the cdrking light sensor socket is
    1. nasira after a few months
    2. too insensitive. Example, gusto ko off by 7am, on at 7pm. Nag off sya 8am, on 5pm
  • meron ako Xiaomi Yeelight LED kaso kailangan bukas din yun wifi router ko, akala ko sa firmware ng led ko nakastore yun on/off timer schedule.
  • if you're wondering why some brands like GES glow very weakly even if the power is off

The reason being that the built in resistor actually helps to turn off the bulb completely where as by default the car delivers a very tiny amount of constant current to the dome light and when using a normal led the light will never fully shut off and stays very dimly lit. The fix for this by other users was to solder on your own resistor
