  Good day mga tpc, need ko po expert advice, ano po ba 2gb RAM na pwede sa LG X140? kasi upgrade ko sana pero di ko sure anong RAM bibilhin ko na compatible baka kasi masira kpg mali. Sinisigurado ko lang po hehe thanks :)

  Mga sirs meron ba kayo alam na nag bebenta ng refurb notebooks? Yung pwede sana credit card :)
  
  Tapos yung mga notebooks na may Pentium or Celeron N series na quad core CPU kung mag iincrease ako ng RAM to 8.0GB, kayanin nya kaya ang sysadmin and netadmin tasks such as virtualization ng linux/windows servers?

  Hi po mga Master. Ask ko lng po anung magandang laptop na pdeng pagpraktisan for virtualization. Try ko po kasi magparktis using vmware or virtual box. Nagpapraktis din po ako ng Unix/Linux. Ano pong masusuggest nyo na laptop? Budget ko po is 35-40k. Thx po.

  Hi ALL,
  
  Ask ko lang po kung sino yung familiar sa Intel WiDi. Meron kasi akong 4yr. old na laptop - Neo Elan L5756N and capable yung processor and integrated gpu nya. Problem is, yung wireless adapter is hindi capable. May familiar ba sa inyo on what wireless card to buy?

  Though given na ung RAM, kaso gusto ko sana ng mas malalimang recommendation sa CPU. Primarily pang edit ng Office Document, pang-Internet Browsing & Chat, kaunting Photoshop at Video File Conversion.

  Well, Windows-based alternatives that would fit your description are high-end ultrabooks from manufacturers such as Dell, HP, Samsung, Asus, etc. Right off the bat you're looking at prices of ~1,200-1,500$ or higher since only ultrabooks in these price range offer battery life in the 8+ hour range. Examples are Samsung Series 9, Dell XPS 13, HP Spectre x360, Acer Aspire S7 and Asus Zenbook UX303/301. Of these I'd recommend the Dell XPS 13 though I don't know if it's available locally.

  I've read a bit on these ultrabooks since I've been planning to get one for quite a while as my on-the-go laptop. Luckily, I spotted a sweet deal a couple of weeks ago here at TPC:
  
  
  
  
  
  
  This is an Asus Zenbook UX32VD, which was released around 2012. It comes with a Core i5-3317 CPU, an Nvidia GT620M GPU, a beautiful full HD (1920 x 1080p) 13.3" LED screen, 4 Gb of RAM and a 500 Gb HDD. Got it for only 14k with the only defect being a busted sound chip, everything else is working and there were very few scratches. Fortunately this ultrabook is easily upgradable (as long as you have a Torx screwdriver) and I popped out the 500 Gb HDD and replaced it with a 240 Gb Sandisk SSD Plus (at 3.7k, the cheapest SSD at this capacity range). I might pop out the 2 Gb DDR3 module and replace it with an 8 Gb one, for a whopping total of 10 Gb (2 Gb of RAM is soldered on the mobo). For the sound issue, the seller gave the me his USB sound card (around 300 pesos) but the sound is pretty bad, all tinny with little bass. Plan to get a FiiO E10k DAC/amp, so it will do justice to my UM Miracle (a 1000$ custom IEM):
  
  
  
  
  I'm really happy with this purchase because with just spending 17.7k I have a light, very competent and nearly scratch-free ultrabook with a dedicated GPU and excellent full HD display that boots in a few seconds. :-D

  46000 pesos!! para sa EARPHONE at sa expensive external sound card? It must sound like heaven LOL. Anyways, expensive hobby iyan sir hehe. For me okay na ako na sa Realtek built-in sound card ng laptop ko na nakaka-sample rate ng 24 bit / 192 kHz at sa superlux evo 681 headphones ko.

  The screen is working, as the images can be seen when you view the screen from an angle.

  Heheh what do you mean by this? I actually plan to buy laptop like Alienware 13 (like strictly for gaming) since it checked all the boxes I need for a laptop, yeah GTX 960m fits everything I need. But my situation changed gear a bit and I need a laptop (not a gaming one) that I can carry around and do work 'WHILE ON THE ROAD'. I have to continue with my android projects but I am relunctant to pay 50k for 11 inch notebook. I am consindering buying the asus zenbooks but they are not immediately available in the country. DI kagaya ng apple, kahit online sa webstore nila makakabili ka.
