I went for another window shopping. The acer one with i3 5005 and 1tb hdd is now on top of my list.

... Then another window shipping. The one that caught my attention was an hp with 3825u. It's just under 17k, and upon checking with passmark the chip has a score of 2630, beating the i3 4005u in the 22k asus i saw.

Ended up buying an acer with 3825u. Such a sweet surprise when i dismantled it to swap the default 2gb ddr3L with my 4gb. I found out that it has an open slot! Now, i have 6gb of ram.

@senbonzekura
You can leave the battery there if you want, it won't cause any problems with other hardware. I did exactly that with my old Thinkpad R61i since removing the battery would make the bottom look weird.

^Dagdag mo na sa list mo yung Asus K401UB and K501UX. The only drawback for me is the Panel.

Don't bother with this model sir. It's slow and the screen quality is really bad. The only thing going for it is its long-ass battery life.

IMHO, these two(ASUS K401, 14 inches and K501, 15 inches) are the best laptops you can buy within the 30k-40k range today. Yung LCD panel lang talaga yung dealbreaker. Yung DELL 7559 naman sobrang pangit ng keyboard. Parang kahit light use/press lang madali syang masira, parang di tatagal ng 1 year.

Pangit sir. I know because i tried one sa SM North Edsa ANNEX, yung store ng ASUS dun ni Villman.

quick question lang. would you recommend taking out the battery of your laptop if it's always on? say for torrenting? steady lang sa isang lugar yung laptop.
-

@johnblackstar
No. Lumang way of thinking na yan. Unless more than 5 years old na yung laptop mo, it's better to have the battery always connected to your laptop. Yung mga laptop now has automated battery charging shutoff kahit wala kang install unless sobrang luma na ng OS mo so it's safe. :)
