Just tried RAGE 2 which is currently free to download at Epic Games Store from FEb. 19 - 26, 2021.
On my Lenovo Ideapad C340-14API with Ryzen 5 3500U and 4GB+4GB DDR4 2400, I get 35 to 40 FPS at 1280 x 720 with 70% resolution scale. It doesn't look bad on 14-inch screen. Graphics settings are a combination of medium and low. -
Any idea kung saang may shop na willing makitest ng laptop gamit power brick nila? Need ko kasi magtest ng mini pc powered by 2 laptop adaptors. gusto ko sana matest muna kung working yung pc bago bumili ng sarili kong adapter. TIA!

I think pwede mo i-test muna dun sa shop nila kung mag work yung laptop.

Hello! I need your opinion/s.
I haveLenovo Z5070 i7 4510u GT840m bought in August, 2014 around 45k yata. Upgraded the RAM from 4gb to 16gb and 512gb SSD + 1tb HDD at caddy. I am using it for CAD and a little gaming since nagaaral pa ako ng college. Ngayon lang, after all troubleshooting, I suspect na dead mobo na siya. Naiwan ko din kasi na naka-plugged in. I emailed servlink (service center ng lenovo) kung may mobo sila, pero wala na raw. May nakita naman ako sa e-commerce na same specs na motherboard pero worth 14k at lower spec na i3 4030u GT840m worth 4k.
I am asking if it is worth it to repair my old laptop or just save to buy new. Pero kung bibili ako ng bago, magde-desktop na ako since may laptop naman na provided ang company namin na magagamit pang CAD pero hindi lang personal.
Nag-aalangan din ako sa 14k na motherboard sa online platform galing pang china. Pero yung 4k pwede pa. Hahaha.

^Pwede na yang 4k boss in my opinion. Basta marunong ka mag baklas kabit ng mabuti ng laptop model mo. Just make sure na maayos yang mabibili mo na replacement.

^yung isang user dun said that his problem got solved by replacing the battery.
Maybe you can bring your unit sa Greenhills or Gilmore para ma check if replacing the battery will really fix the issue.
Ang alam ko kase merong "chip" sa battery na nagcontrol ng power distribution. Kung yun yung faulty, meron chance na hindi nga sya mag charge and mag provide ng power sa laptop. -

Bad battery. I've seen this issue on many laptops. It's a defective cell in the battery pack. -

^ Kung nasa 2 years or more na po yung laptop expected na po na nag-degrade na battery cells kaya most likely for replacement na yan talaga. -
better to disconnect or replace your battery, sa akin tinanggal ko na at nakarekta na lang sa outlet, ibabalik ko na lang ulit pag gagamitin habang nasa byahe

^depende sa laptop model I think, meron iba na hindi mag turn on yung laptop kung inalis yung internal battery because of some safety mechanism.
Yung iba naman pwede pa din magamit kahit wala na yung internal batt, like yung Aspire V5 and VX 15. -
^mine is Helios 300, so as not to degrade my battery's life dinisconnect ko na lang tutal lagi ako nagamit na nakaplug sa outlet.

Kung naka-kabit pa din sya and you're using resource intensive apps or games that make the laptop run hot, mag degrade pa din yung battery life mo because of heat. -
^di ko na siya inalis naka disconnect lang haha baka mawala ko pa, oo mainit siya mostly 50 to 60 deg kasi ginagamit kong pang DL at mining.

^Pero kung naka aircon ka naman or laptop cooler, then okay lang kahit naka kabit pa din :)

Personally, I don't recommend removing batteries of laptops. Replacement batteries aren't expensive anyways and refraining from plugging it out of the charger while in use will most definitely extend the lifespan of the battery. Just imagine the risk of constantly removing and reinserting the battery multiple times compared to replacing a worn-out battery after 2-3 years. Not worth it imho.

Mini PC - pwede ko po isaksak sa mga tv n lng if ever...
main reason po kasi is price... laki ng price difference ng Mini Pc compared to Laptop
