5k for htpc? bili ka na lang ng compute stick or just a respectable spec'ed android stb.
but if you do plan for other thing other than HTPC like a home automation, and personal projects then it might be a good idea to have one, else look for something else youre just wasting youre money for a feature that you werent going to use anyway.

I agree. The RPi is flexible, but may require a bit of tinkering to get it to work the way you want. If you have the time, patience and eagerness, then go ahead and grab an RPi. Otherwise, an Android STB or compute stick might be better for you.

A compute stick would be far better for to be honest. Got lots of oomph on a small package

Hi, I'm planning to buy a controller for my PC, and since may raspberry pi din ako lying around, gusto ko na din magexperiment ng retropie, any suggestions kung ano controller compatible for both PC and RPi, preferably wireless para madali mag interchange.

I use the first gen Xbone controller sa Retropie ko with wire, no issues. I haven't tested the controller from my Xbone S yet, since it is already running in bluetooth
Currently the best wireless controller for Retropie is a PS3 controller. May issues pa daw sa PS4 contoller. Yung X360 wireless may driver na daw for RPi?

well you can use a USB based sound card, as long as linux generally supports it.
