can i replace my wii power supply 110v with a 220v powersupply?

  • my son plugged our 110v wii to a 220v plug on the avr. now it won\'t turn on. i tried finding a 110v powersupply but could only find a 220v one. is this possible to change the power supply to 220v or since the wii runs on 110v power supply , using a 220v ps would destroy the wii. i borrowed another 110v ps and the wii stuill works so plugging the ps to 220v didn\'t damage the unit, only the 110v ps.

plus i heard there\'s a fuse inside the ps, would changing the fuse make the ps run again? thanks guys
  • Yes, check the Wii input voltage and not the power supply input voltage, yun ung dapat mag match. The reason why walang 110V power supplies dito sa Philippines is because or mains supply is 220V.
  • thanks. so it\'s safe to buy the 220v PS?
  • Yes, just make sure it conforms to your Wii\'s input voltage. I think it is 12V 3.7A around.
  • thanks for the help bontistic :-)
  • YW!
  • saan po ba nakakabili ng 220v na power brick for wii? Thanks
  • my sister gave me an old nintendo wii, red version. galing USA yun so yung powerbrick/adaptor nya is 120v, can i buy 220v powerbrick and use it in wii without any problems?
