Official PLDT Fibr thread (No piracy topics or hints)

  • @the_norseman1015 - it is working, nadetect nya yong flash drive na insert ko
  • @APJC, were you able to save files/copy file from the flash drive?

my ONU ip is same with my external IP already.(dati kasi magkaiba so baka behind ako ng ibang router)

    ONU model is HG8145V

  • @the_norseman1015 - yes i can
  • may Prolink, Baudtec, Zyxel, Huawei
  • @digital
i have hg8145v and port forward is working properly, hindi rin kailngan ng waiver para sa port forward, since basic admin access can configure it. anu yung kailngan mo iport forward?
  • @digitaldrag

Well putting aside that your waiver was pointless kasi huawei yan.

have you tried forwarding another port aside from 80 and 443?

  • Guys, question, anong possible gawin para hindi mapalitan ung landline number namin dahil mag upgrade kami from DSL Plan 999 with landline to Unli Fibr Plan 1299 with landline? Naisip ko baka di lang nya alam ang gagawin nya to process ung request of upgrade without changing the landline number.

    Maraming salamat sa mga sasagot!
  • @mmb101

Yung magi-install nyan ililipat lang naman nya ang linya from the DSL copper line to the Fibr modem then they will use that phone to call the head office to confirm the activation of the modem and the fiber internet. Yun na.

ayun thank you sa agarang feedback po. now I know what they will do and it seems ung kausap ko di lang alam ang gagawin nya.

just to clarify, ung linya ng DSL wire will still be the same wire they will use for Fibr connection? maiiba lang talaga is ung modem, papalitan ung DSL modem to Fibr modem?
  • Siguro ang ibig mong sabihin is the RJ11 cable na naka connect sa phone papunta sa splitter box gaya nito:

Pag may Fibr ka na hindi na papadaanin dyan ang phone kundi doon na sa modem ng Fibr and it will be the same RJ11 cable. Kalimitan hindi na nila tinatanggal yang dsl box na nakadikit sa wall at telephone line after installation and activation of your Fibr.

Note though that pag may Fibr ka na hindi gumagana ang telephone line pag hindi naka turn on ang modem, hindi gaya ng DSL ok lang naka turn off ang modem at gagana pa rin ang phone.

  • @taurexn
    salamat :)
  • @imscythe

sir may tanong lang nag pa upgrade kasi ako ng plan galing ako dsl then to fibr ang sabi sakin is vdsl lang available samin at wala pang fibr na line talaga so baliwala ba if papalitan ng fibr modem?since wala pang available na fibr optic sa lugar namin?thanks
  • oo hindi yan fiber so It will not use the modem that is being installed for real Fiber plans and it will instead install a compatible VDSL2 modem. I think PLDT just includes it as part of PLDT Fibr but it's still DSL connection that uses the copper line.

follow up question: totoo bang may charge na Php 2,500 for modem and Php 1,100 activation fee? makatarungan ba ang presyong 2.5k for modem and reliable naman ba or should I change a different reliable modem?
  • Noong nag upgrade ako from DSL to Fibr, wala naman akong binayaran. This was over a year ago
  • ^ ganun ba? hmmm. bakit kaya ganun may charge na. siguro new policy. nung nag apply ka ba to upgraede over a year ago, thru promo ng PLDT yan?
  • ask lang sa mga naka VDSL pinalitan ba modem niyo or same padin ng DSL modem thanks
  • @mmb101

LOL

  • ^ @imscythe: thank you. daan nga din ako sa satellite office near us to confirm. kasi sa PLDT fb page thru messenger lang ako nagsubmit ng requirements. lol

natawa ako dun sa peperahan ka pa ng installer. ganyan din sabi sa akin nung contractor nagcheck ng dsl connection namin nung nagka issue about a week ago na iupgrade ko na lang daw to fibr then bayad daw ako sa kanila ng fibr cable papasok ng house.

do you happen to know ano itsura ng PLDT Fibr box? titingalain ko mga poste near sa area namin to check saan ang may pinaka malapit. kasi ung Converge Fibr box halos katapat lang ng house namin.
  • ^

nung naglipatbahay kami ayan naghigpit na. After matapos transfer of line (latag/install/test) after umalis mga installer, bisor ata tumawag samin.
  • stick with your linksys router. if you can make your ONU modem to bridge mode do it. you'll be better off using your linksys router compare to PLDT ONU functioning as router

@beagle_bigs - Sorry, noob with Networking. Do I need to call 171 para sa bridge mode ng PLDT ONU and Linksys router? Or pwede na gawin derecho with the help of Google and YouTube?
  • @jeyps11_c

  • I just got a text message from PLDT (legit number) claiming they're giving me a free speed boost or something. May catch ba to? Anyone else get a similar message? I'm currently on the old Plan 6000 (200mbps) btw.

Eto na yung 10 20 30 speedboost for 1299 1699 and 1899 as advised last may and confirmed for roll-out this month

Base din sa isang post ng ka fibr natin even 200mbps ay meron let see what will be their speed kasi wala naman inadvised for higher 50 above speeds
