dumb question. what's the difference between bridging the ONU and utilizing a dedicated router, and simply disabling wifi functionality of the ONU and using the dedicated router via LAN port 1?
I'm no networking expert but AFAIK in networks like that there can only be one router. The router in the ONU gives addresses to all the data packets and if another router changes the addresses, magkakagulo
I tried what you wanted - ONU in route mode and a wifi router on LAN port 1. This is what I observed
* It worked
* can no longer access the router's GUI (192.168.2.1) but the ONU I can still access through the router (192.168.1.1 Plus the hugot fiber cable and change IP address of the Pc trick)
* the file transfer speed over wifi and lan dropped from the usual > 10 MB/s to the ONU's abyssmal < 1 MB/s speed
From the above I assume that what happened is my Belkin wifi router automatically switched to AP mode to not violate the there can be only one (router) rule

Ana Church all the way till the end of Calderon street. You can see fiber boxes sa poste Just beside the gas station katabi ng Sta. Ana Church till Tokwa/Toho factory. Look around for electric posts for fiber boxes.
Meron rin sa Syquia street, mga streets in front of Sta. Ana Elementary School.

Hehehe.

Hi guys! I'm on PLDT Fibr Plan 1299 (3 Mbps unlimited). I actually applied for DSL Plan 1299 (3 Mbps unlimited rin), pero nung kinabitan na kami, nagulat ako at Fibr yung modem at fiber optic yung gamit na cable.
Anyway, two weeks na ang nakalipas nung kinabitan kami. Hindi pa rin kami activated. For the past weeks, I tried calling their hotline but to no avail. Kanina ko lang naisipan na gumamit ng Smart number na pangtawag, and yun, at last sumagot. Reported my issue and they said gumawa na sila ng job order about my problem. Sabi nung rep, mag-monitor nalang daw ako for 24-48 hours for activation.
I'm asking, how realistic is this timeframe na 24-48 hours? Nakakainis na kasi sobra. Two weeks na.

So gano kalayo ba kaya ni fibr para stable and speed?

In fiber optic technology, data travels at the speed of light (300,000 m/s) so the distance from your house would be a non-issue
