Globe LTE Users Thread (no piracy, torrent topics/hints)

Di kaya yung TDD LTE lang ang may maintenance work now?
  • ^yes TDD LTE no browse pero yung FDD patay sindi connection mo.. unstable
  • Can 1 outdoor external antenna be shared by 2 or more LTE modems like the Huawei B315s-938?

Setup is being done for the purpose of redundancy when one SIM fails.

Can anyone recommend a good outdoor external antenna?

  • ^what do you mean both modem are in use at the same time using only 1 antenna?
if it is... might caused signal interference or noise.

i think that setup can be possible using a router and both modem use separate antenna.
XD

  • ^so yung akalang band 7 ay band 38 pala? never tried na kumonek sa band na ito pero matagal ko ng pansing my band 38. gamit apps sa android about neighboring cell list. ma try nga sa gomo... later
  • ^ di pa nga activated yung toreng malapit samin paps. mas ok sana para kahit di mag antenna may clear LOS.
  • yes TDD LTE no browse pero yung FDD patay sindi connection mo.. unstable

  • Ano ma recommend nyo na modem with outdoor antenna?

Oks na ba ung Tozed S10G then bili ako ng Outdoor antenna? Salamats

Will use this connection as backup only
  • b535 prepaid ni globe looks good to me cat7 huawei

  • ^so yung akalang band 7 ay band 38 pala? never tried na kumonek sa band na ito pero matagal ko ng pansing my band 38. gamit apps sa android about neighboring cell list. ma try nga sa gomo... later

Never nag-band 7 yung Globe at Smart. And it is for at least two reasons:

1.) Band 7 2600MHz is an FDD Band. As such meron ka dapat frequencies sa both Download range (2500 – 2570MHz) and Upload range (2620 – 2690MHz) and ideally equal amount of spectrum sa both range.

2.) 2600MHz was used in WiMax by both Globe and Smart (even before their SMC acquisition) and by the time it was converted for use in LTE, TDD-LTE is a much more natural progression path for it hence Band 38/41 rather than Band 7..
  • I just bought b535 from an online store. Pag dating sa akin, ang nakalagay sa box is "Globe at HOME POSTPAID" I am using an ordinary globe prepaid sim. I can use the internet.

Is there any difference if i use Globe prepaid sim vs Globe at Home prepaid wifi sim?
  • @banono27

So far na test ko naman ung internet for my work and oks naman sya. I'll use this as my backup connection in case mag loko PLDT.

    Thanks for the help.
  • ^yeah... usually kapag kay globe ka bumili my warranty pang kasama.
kahit naman globe lock yung modem working naman si GOMO sim which is pang backup talaga dahil nga no expiry data services nito.
  • Enjoy ko si GOMO ksi bumalik ulit ung Unli data for April 4-6 haha.. Nag dadalawang isip nko sa BoostEven ko :3
  • https://www.t-mobile.com/news/un-carrier/t-mobiles-next-un-carrier-move-5gforall

Just an FYI... in the US the first telco to offer unlimited 5G internet priced it at $60/month before sales tax. That's around P2,932.80/month + VAT to us.
  • ^Worked for T-Mobile before as a CSR, yes it's unlimited BUT...
Unlimited Upgrade: Unlimited while on our network. During congestion, heavy data users (>50GB/mo. for most plans) and customers with lower-prioritized plans may notice lower speeds than other customers; see your plan for details. Video typically streams at (480p).

  • ^^ I mention T-Mobile's plan to give a counter point to Globe/Smart/Dito's offers.

For me throttling of heavy data users should be done during peak times so they do not impact quality of service of non-heavy data users and during off peak times they should be given max available throughput.

IMHO 50GB/month is pretty small. I was thinking it should start at 500GB/month. But then again >50GB/month must be what the top 20% or 1% of users consume data.

    SUPERSURF999 is 1GB/day so 28-31GB/month for 999/month

for now penalize for down time ng internet sinusulong ngaun. hope pumasa...
  • Guys kalma hahaha

okay so yung tinutukoy ni @filipinX ay yung T-Mobile US 5G Home Service
    with the following service terms

TL;DR: No cap pero walang guaranteed speed. For Home Use (so no calls and texts). and subject sa usual data management system during congestion.

yung namention naman ni @oweneighty ay yung one of T-Mobile US Mobile Postpaid Plans (which includes calls and text, roaming, among others)
^Worked for T-Mobile before as a CSR, yes it's unlimited BUT...

As for the 50GB data na mentioned sa mobile postpaid plan, the plan is still unlimited. Yung first 50GB is prioritized so it will not be bumped down further in speed during congestion. So pag walang congestion sa area eh it shouldn't be much of a concern.

Take note na mas aggresive ang US telcos in general when detecting kung ginagamit sa phone or as a hotspot yung particular account so good luck using it as a full-time home internet replacement especially for heavy users.
Walang priority data so if congested yung area eh yung postpaid users with priority data remaining yung mas angat. Though mukhang they won't offer it yet sa areas na prone to congestion.

Isang major differentiating factor between PH and US telcos right now eh mas lenient ang PH telcos in general kung saan gagamitin yung sim. As such, they also take it into account kung anong data plans and promos i-offer nila. Good thing eh hindi pa umaabot sa point yung PH telcos na differentiated yung data traffic kapag naka mobile hotspot mode or in-device in which sa US ay may ganun. Tipong Unlidata yung plan pero 5GB full-speed hotspot data or throttled yung hostpot data to sub-1Mbps speeds.

  • SUPERSURF999 is 1GB/day so 28-31GB/month for 999/month

Supersurf999 is already bested out by much more superior data promos such as HomeSurf999 or even Gomo 299 30GB variant or some niche Gosakto/Go promo.
  • Ilan ba talaga ung data sa HomeSurf199? Iba yung nakalagay sa official website/ *143#, 22GB (15 + 1GB a day) lang daw.

  • ^most 3rd party app like gcash di updated nakaindicate na promo.. at kadalasan they trick the user mind to fool us with their promo. i.e not all data are all access

...ako lang ba o sadyang mahina globe/gomo ngayon bagsak signal nila unstable internet.
  • @Chinito
