Regarding dun sa Magellan film. Naiintindihan ko kung bakit sya gusto iban. May history tayo na sinakop nang kastila 300 years, and treated like slaves. Tapos gloglorify si Magellan na mananakop. Masyado kasi mabait mga pinoy sa mga foreigner eh.

It was an ok film, medyo na overrated lang nang mga noypi sa social media. Benchmarks ko kasi sa korean films Oldboy, The Chaser at Sunflower. Kaya naman natin gumawa ng original films. Maganda yung OTJ, Heneral Luna at yung Hello, Love, Goodbye.
Live adaptation of the anime Inuyashiki from the same guy who directed Gantz, Bleach and The Kingdom. I am starting to like this guy. He can translate anime or manga to the big screen with little loss of elements from the source material.
Anyway if you are planning to watch Inuyashiki, just a warning, the film is somewhat dragging. But this is actually a direct interpretation of the anime's overall vibe which stems from its main characters, the protagonist who is an old man underappreciated at home and at work and the antagonist a high schooler with a withdrawn personality. So yeah about 2/3 of the film is dragging. However it has a good story and there's a reward towards the end.

masyado nyo pinaglalaruan ang mga salita. sa english ay playing with semantics. totoo naman na sinakop nya ang pilipinas. o sinakop nya mga islas sa southeast asia at tinawag nya itong filipinas.
alam nyo yung salitang slaves ay mabigat ang ibig sabihin. belguim ay nanakop sa africa at kumukuha ng mga tao para gawing mga alila sa mga taniman nila . yung iba ay binebenta sa europe at america. yun ang talagang slaves.
mga filipino ay hindi nga binebenta ng spain sa ibang bansa. cruel ba ang spain sa pananakop nya? maybe. pero kailangan nyong maintindihan na yan ay ibang panahon at ibang ugali ng mga tao noon. kung cruel ang europeans noon dahil yan ang normal ng panahon na yan. not justifying anything, just stating facts.

- ok lang din sakin na magremake. but may point din dun sa papano nakapasa sa MMFF.
- walang death penalty sa atin. yeah i know it's fiction, but di mo maiwasan isipin.
Pareho ng ginawa ng mga Hapon sa 50 First Date ni Adam Sandler at Drew Barimore. Ginawa ng mga Hapon remake at title 50 First Kisses.
Sa una palang alam mo na ang daloy ng istorya, pero may mga parte silang binago. Hindi syento ginaya yung orihinal.
Klaus (Netflix film) 9/10
- Great looking 2d animation with 3d lighting
- Surprisingly fresh take on the Santa mythology
- Good voice acting
- Funny moments worked most of the time
- Music choice was a little off in certain scenes
- Slow pacing during the first 30mins but picks up quickly and doesn't let up til the end
It wasn't as bad as I thought. Though it wasnt groundbreaking either. I thought the 120fps was weird and the CGI even weirder. Para bang slight improvement lang ng ginamit sa Matrix Reloaded during the brawl scene.
Anyway story was okay. It wasn't that bad. It's a legit action story. But then again missing it in theaters was not a loss on my part. But I think it's an entertaining movie to watch with the family or friends.
Napaka predictable, sa una pa lang alam mo na kung sino mga kalaban.
Pero if you want some mindless action, this is good and very entertaining since
halos from start to finish yung action.

This xmas movie is legit. It's funny and has a heart. I like how they deconstructed Santa's mythos and made it grounded to reality. It is as if Nolan directed this movie. I would definitely rewatch this xmas eve together with my fam.
