Bakit TRAFFIC lagi?

    LOL
  • For me iisa lang rootcause ng matitinding traffic sa NCR:
-Manila is the most densely populated city in the world-

Ung sheer number of people commuting everyday is causing the massive traffic.
To correct the issue, other than infrastracture (w/c is obvious), the reasons why people flock to Manila/NCR should be addressed first. Kahit magandang infrastracture, it could only take X number of people, after Y number of years, babalik din yan sa dati kong patuloy ang exodus ng mga tao papuntang Manila/NCR.

One solution is decentralize the govt, AFP for example should be based where it is needed the most (like Mindanao), Dept of Agriculture should be based on the province which produces agri-products the most. DTI/PEZA should be Cavite or Laguna-based etc. In short pati mga suppliers nila dun na rin magba-based.

Add more international airports on other major Cities that caters a whole wide range of international flights. Foreign direct investors could travel directly to the city/province where he had business to attend to.

Federalism - this will empower the Federal State or Province to adopt trade/ecomonic laws that will be relevant to their province's product or services.

Make at least 3-4 nuclear power plant in the provinces - the main reason why factories, plants, investments etc is not located in the provinces is because of very little capacity of power plants to generate massive demand in supply (i.e Mindanao & other provinces is on rotating brown-out). Tapos ang mahal ng cost of power generation. Nuclear power plants will make energy stable and very affordable for consumers and investors (given mura na nga provincial rate for labor), Im sure marami magiinvest sa mga province if this is realized.

Instead of people flocking to NCR/Manila, they're more like to stay on their native province if decent jobs are available.

    Edit:
National broadband realization: maglatag ng submarine fibre cables connecting the provinces' broadband needs. There was a study I've read in the IMF/World bank or think-tank org, it says that economic progress is directly proportional to the broadband speed of a certain nation/territory. In this age of connectivity, malaki factor ng internet in doing profitable business environment.

(In the name of the..... and of the....... and Holy spirit.......)

    AMMEEEEEEENNN!!!

  • Agree, may point ka regarding the congressman having ulterior motives, but it should not be the show stopper for a nation to move forward. More than 100 years na tayo na ang central power is controlled by the one single entity - NCR. Federalism will empower the local (federal) govt.

Take for instance Gen. Santos City (Sea food economy), the local leaders knew more than the central govt about declining fish stocks and its impact to the local economy so pwede sila gumawa ng batas to conserve their fish stocks and having to balance the impact to the livelihood of their fisher folks.

Another example is the ARMM, Islam unlike most religions, is not only a Religion but a way of life.If they become a federal state, they could introduce some aspects of the Islamic/Sharia law. Ung batas kc ng 'Pinas caters mostly to "Christianic" laws. They always felt that they were alienated, this way they could feel their voices/sentiments are heard since they could now live under Islamic laws and their ways are protected by the govt.

Regarding your example Bangkok, you just said matindi pa rin traffic (even maganda ang railways), so it doesnt solve the problem, more like band-aid solution pa rin. It just cemented my view that even good infrastracture could only cater X number of people, and after Y number of years balik uli sa dati. The reasons why people flock to the Capital city should be addressed primarily...
  • Same opportunity (Work+Salary) in their respected provinces and people will not need to travel to Metro Manila. Yan lang talaga. Kung paano sisimulang gawin ang "problema".

I also believe that the railroad system must be improved.
kaso, can we trust national security and safety if the national railroad system is implemented?

  • I think one way to ease the traffic is to return the double-deck buses (Manila bus ba yung dati).
  • ...at yung Love bus ;-)

if these people really think of progress dapat itigil na nila tong mga ginagawa nilang pambobomba eh. the government is exerting all effort para lang mapabuti ang bansa natin tapos may mga taong sadyang nanggugulo and nagkiclaim pa na sila ang makabayan.

  • just imagine if each former presidents were able to build at least one infra project/train system, di na sana masyado problema ang trapik..

  • ...at yung Love bus ;-)

wala eh napalitan ng FakeTaxi. wahahaha

nagmomotor ako on my daily commute (38kms round trip). dati kaya ko ng 50minutes from bahay to work, ngayon may times na 1hr ang travel time ko. umiiwas ako sa route na madaming jeep at mga highway (quezon ave, espana). tamang filter lang din. mukhang dumami talaga sasakyan sa pag boom ng TVNS industry this year.

isa pang nakadagdag traffic sa route ko yung new school sa congressional avenue (JASMS ata). yung mga nagda-drop off ng students biglang magswerve ng 3 lanes para maka U-turn (nasa intersection yung school).
