Globe@Home GFiber Broadband Thread

  • Matagal kasi ang Globe bago mag offer ng 100 mbps nag start subscription ko from 20 mbps 1899 around April 2018 tapos after 3 month 50 mbps 2499 lang muna offer tapos now lang nila inoffer yung 100 mbps sa Globe At Home app. Esep-esep. Hmmmm...

    May question lang po, nagpakabit kasi ako ng 1699 fiber plan ng globe then everything is working naman po yun nga lang upon dialing globe CS to check my account using my registered landline and account number, hindi nag po-proceed sa hotline ano po kaya problem nito?

    umabot ng one week before ko na access ang account ko online and up to now 2 weeks na hindi pa rin complete ang info. data usage lang naaccess ko.

    Camella, Pilar here. So far happy. Started at 1899 20mbps. Happy with it upgraded to 2499 50mbps. Still happy with it.
    You actually feel that your internet is fast than Sky's. Consistency? Only had 1 instance of downtime which lasted for 10minutes. Their tech support is on-site visit and they usually come next day if you have problems.

    Gaming: PUBG Steam is only hit or miss. Good days you'll get average 90ms. Otherwise 260ms. Reboot modem to get nice IP pool? But not worth it. Just get VPN for that game.
  • Bilis pala mag-upgrade sa Globe at Home App inapply ko ng morning ng July 27 tapos morning ng July 28 upgraded na sa 100 mbps getting around 140 mbps download and 40 mbps upload, oks na kaya yan? hehehe

Just a follow up question lang sir, gaano na po katagal nung nagpakabit kayo ng globe fiber sa inyo. Pansin ko lang po kasi sa una lang maganda ang services ng mga ISP dito saten, pagtagal nawawala na ung consistency ng service nila.

    i've been with various ISPs since 2008. specifically, smart, sky broadband, pldt dsl, and globe fiber. there's no contest, globe is the most consistent. if you don't include the maintenance downtime (which is seldom to begin with), then i guess i've lost connection only 2-3 times. since mid-2017.

    Mobile games you won't have problem. I checked with my friend who plays mobile legends and ping is usually 6ms if local otherwise 29 if Singapore.

    Sa SkyCable lang ako nakapansin ng worst experience in resolution sa Pilar. Priority nila is yung cable services nila and not broadband. Kaya pag may noise problem you'll wait atleast 4 months or worse years para ma resolve which involves many follow ups.
    PLDT naman customer experience nila is slow. Swerte nalang po in many years I was with them my DSL never had issues. I guess kasi marami silang DSLAM sa Pilar.
    Globe so far never let me down (was a subscriber while I was in a dorm in QC during DSL days). Rebate was automatic next billing whereas on PLDT takes next 3 billing cycle after problem got resolved.
  • Ano kaya nangyari dito sa upgrade ko to 2899 nung unang araw pumalo ng 140 mbps tapos after an hour bumalik sa 93 mbps meron din bang naka encounter sa inyo ng ganito?
  • ^ nag reboot ka ho ba? Wired or wireless? Pag wired check mo nalang interface baka nag 100mbps sya instead of 1gbps. Sa 50mbps plan namin kasi 2.4G ng modem nila I get 18-24mbps. 5G nila 38-42mbps. Wired 51mbps (burst 80mbps).

    ewan ko lang if may access ka sa settings na toh, pero for 2.4G, set wireless-N only, and for 5G, wireless-N/AC (assuming compatible pa rin ung mka nkaconnect)
  • Update: Problem solved back to 150 mbps tumawag ako sa hotline to report the problem kanina may nagpunta na tech ang problema pala hindi pa naka align yung speed sa facility kaya ginamitan lang nung tech nung parang android phone na pang measure ng speed tapos pina align niya via phone call ayun maya-maya pumalo na ng 150 mbps download tpos 55-60 mbps upload via wired gigabit LAN.
    Kaya payong kapatid yung mga naka plan 2899 100 mbps na 90-95 mbps lang ang actual na nakukuha ipa-align niyo na yan ang talo kayo sa binabayaran niyo. Sinabay ko na tuloy yung pagpapalit ng latest wifi modem nila for free Huawei Echolife HG8145v5 yung mga 5G na yung dati kasi wala pa. Kaya sulit yung punta ng technician dito buti pinapunta ko nung una ayaw ko na sana at functional naman yung 90 mbps kaya mas sulit na now.

  • Pag yung 5G wIFImodem nung Huawei Echolife na bago naka connect wirelessly kuha yung 150 mbps na speed take note wireless pa yun pangit talaga nitong Belkin AC1200 now ko lng napagtanto basura ang speed pag may pera ulit papalitan ko na ito as AP dinaig nung Huawei.
    Asa second floor kasi yung Echolife kaya need ko pa mag accesspoint kasi asa 3rd floor ako kaya now ko lng napansin nung nakakuha ako ng ganitong speed na pangit pala talaga nung Belkin sobrang bagal kahit 5G around 50-70 mbps lang max.

  • Nawala ng net kanina for 10mins. Then speed of our Plan 2499 50mbps is now 75/20!

    Kaya nga eh. Waiting nalang sa notification sa Globe at home app. Nakahanda pa naman yung isang router ko gagawin kong main gateway na kayang kaya ng hardware mag QoS sa higher speed.
  • Plan 2899 na ba Sir yang upgrade mo? Base sa experience ko mga 1 year bago nila ibigay yung 2899 na plang sa Globe At Home App.

    Looks like may maintenance na ginagawa si Globe kasi paiba-iba ang speed lately sa bahay ko, sa office and even sa client ko na naka-Globe Fiber din.

    Switching to PLDT would be a big mistake imho. Kung sa Globe may nakakausap ka pa na CSR and may pumupunta pa na techsupport sa PLDT halos wala na same with Converge ICT. I know because I used to be a PLDT subscriber for 4 years and I have several clients na naka-Converge. Pag naka-up connection okay lang pero once mag-down for whatever reason goodluck na lang sa subscriber.
  • ^ Partida na yan kaka upgrade lang namin from 50mbps (75mbps actual) to 100mbps (120-130 actual) one month ago. Tapos 2 months kami chinarge sa hooq kahit pinatanggal na namin. Konti na lang pundi na ako. Sana pala hindi na ako nag upgrade. Yung 1899 PLDT fiber sa bahay ng parents ko never nagka problema.

    Tumawag ako sa hotline at sabi tech daw papapuntahin eh kayang kaya naman nila i-align to thru phone or no need na ng tech visit. So half day or absent na naman ako bukas para hintayin tong mga tech na di mo alam kung umaga or hapon darating.

    Sobrang laking perwisyong nagpatong patong.
  • Sana magkaroon na nga ng upgrade to 100mbps clients. Sarap nung naging 1GBPS. Although sa actual use wala naman masyadong difference.
