Globe@Home GFiber Broadband Thread

  • Tried contacting the hotline for the updated promos nila mukhang hindi fully aware yung agent na nakausap ko.

Upgrade or downgrade.

  • @michaelrab13

Walang babayaran sa upgrade pero syempre matic na extended lock-in period sa bilia ng panahon di mo man lang mararamdaman yun.

Looks like everyone's got an ultra speed boost.
  • Paki post ng screenshots sa speedtest at kung ilan ang plan :) Sigurado may speed upgrade ang Globe dahil sa PLDT speedboost
  • Balik na to normal speeds after restarting the router.

    Back to ~90Mbps na ako.

    Plan 1899 50/600GB

Well the router you're gonna buy has their instructions on how to set it up. Make sure to read as it'll help you configure your WIFI and other settings depending on what you need.

All of them are plug and play.
Just plug your router via ethernet (cat5, 5e, 6) to any LAN ports of your modem to the WAN/INTERNET port of your router.

To disable the WiFi of your modem there usually is some buttons behind the router which you can use to turn off it's WiFi. The indicator on the modem is usually the lights on WLAN1 and WLAN2 (if it has 5G) are off.
That way all connections go to your router instead of Globe's modem.

Thanks. So diretso na pala. No need to do bridge mode? Just disable the WAN sa modem. Tapos na. Tama po ba?

Well di na need ng bridge mode. You can just set on your modem to DMZ the IP address of your router. Login to the GUI with the provided credential (eg for fiberhome: username: user password: tattoo@home). Then go to Application tab -> DMZ. Select "enable" and set the IP address of your router (eg: 192.168.254.100). Then hit apply and then reboot the modem.

IF, only IF, you need to bridge mode for whatever reason. You have to get your Globe PPPoE username(see step 6 below) and password(password is usually your account number), as well as your connection's VLAN ID (follow steps below) since you will need that for your router.

    1. Login to Globe modem GUI using their special admin credential (eg for fiberhome username: admin password: 3UJUh2VemEfUtesEchEC2d2e).
    2. Go to Network Tab.
    3. Go to Broadband Settings side menu.
    4. Highlight 1_TR069_INTERNET_R_VID_1. Then below look for VLAN ID and copy the vlan id. Once you took note of your vlan id change it to "1".
    5. Untick/uncheck all LAN bindings.
    6. Copy your PPPoE username at the "username" text box (important!).
    7. Connection Trigger: "MANUAL" then press "disconnect".
    8. Hit Apply.
    9. Go back to the top where the WAN LIST is located and click on "ADD" button.
    10. Make sure you set these: WAN enable [enable], VLAN enable [enable], Service Type [INTERNET], Connection Type [Bridge], VLAN ID [your vlan id], Priority [0], LAN Bindings [All ticked/All checked], 2.4G Bindings [All unticked/checked], 5G Bindings [All unticked/checked].
    11. Hit apply.
    12. So now under your WAN list you should have 3 WANs: 1. for TR069 INTERNET, 2. for VOIP, 3 for INTERNET (the one you just made).
    13. Reboot modem (careful not to select "restore" this will clear all your settings losing your internet and landline).
    14. On your router: Go to WAN settings (or Internet settings).
    15. Set connection to protocol to PPPoE.
    16. Set your PPPoE credentials.
    17. You can also change the DNS to your liking.
    18. Apply settings then reboot the router.
    19. Test connection.

Thanks sa info sir. Akala ko kasi required talaga mag bridged mode para mag add ng router. May extra routers kasi ako na balak ko gamitin as dedicated routers instead of the huawei modem provided by globe. Na check ko nga ang interface ng huawei modem and i can simply disable the wan function. I will try to test if I can add the routers without any issue.
