  • finally naayos din cabling ko, from intermittent old dsl line to fibre connection, aftee 8 mos of waiting, need lang mgrant sa fb nila and messenger hahah, then suddenly me tumawag na agent after days
  • @melqa
nagaantay nga rin ako kasi dapat early this year magrelease na sila. Feeling ko inaantay lang plans ng PLDT. Nauna kasi Converge tas looks like silently naguupgrade na din now si Sky ng new speed profiles nila.
  • Bacoor area along Salinas, Wala din ba kayong Internet?
  • Silang Cavite area, walang Twitter
  • @CrkDice Nice. Hopefully sunod sunod na yung reliability.

Baka after or before pa ng lunch ng DITO.
Aggressive sila ngayon sa pag switch to fiber.
Pag may downtime marami affected so need nila ayusin agad.
  • ^that's more like a result of less red tape that was imposed to the company (not only Globe, but PLDT and Converge as well) so they can install many lines now without bothering of getting too much red tape involved.

now, what can DITO is stimulate the market (eg making it cheaper). but since DITO is a pure wireless telecom company anyway, this wont make any much difference for the fixed line users (xDSL and Fiber). but hey I can at least expect cheaper wireless internet plans once DITO launched.

last year alone, biglang nagkaroon ng Converge at Globe fiber installation dito sa village. I doubt this would be happening without the pandemic. saka lang kasi nagkandarapa ang govenrment once they saw that "it was actually them" that is causing the slow development ng telecommunication dito sa pinas.

  • Good day TPCers.

Salamat.

  • Looks like Globe is indeed rolling out IPv6. Just noticed my OpenWRT got both IPv4(cgnat) and IPv6. Traceroute to google.com shows IPv6 (other domains are of course in IPv4) as well as whatsmyip.

So far no browsing responsiveness issues and speedtests still at 120/100mbps. Will continue to monitor as I have added IPv6 DNS on top of the IPv4 DNS of Cloudflare DNS.

Around 8:30AM kasi, wala kaming landline. NUng check ko sa modem config page, ang nakalagay eh CONNECTING/REGISTERING (the WAN has not obtained an IP Address).

I tried to book a technician sa GAH app. Pero pag tap ko ng CONNECTIVITY ISSUES, ang lumalabas eh WE'RE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. There is an ongoing outage in your area that is affecting our services. Rest assured that we're working on fixing this as soon as possible.

Is there another channel where I can talk to Globe para maiparating sa kanila yung issue namin? Kailangang kailangan pa naman ng landline service.

Thanks in advance for any input that you can share.
  • ^ You have 2 options.

    1. Try calling their hotline via Globe mobile phone. Hotline is 211.
    2. This is like your guaranteed way. You have to visit Globe Business center near you to be able to report the issue.

    thanks!
  • anyone experienced high ping on COD Warzone? parang nag start sya mga last week. normally below 100ms ako eh. ngayon lagi 160ms+
  • My area now appears to be serviceable based on the map on Globe's website, and I'm eligible for the 50% off for 6 months promo. The big question is: worth it ba yung 100mbps na 400-peso difference vs 50mbps nila? Planning to dump my existing Converge fiber.

  • ^^

Depende yan sayo sir since ikaw naman ang gagamit, if you are going to ask me sulit ang additional 400 pesos na difference since doble ang speed ang makukuha mo, even yung 200mbps sulit rin since twice the speed ng plan 2899 ang makukuha mo and 600 lang ang additiona sa 2899. Pero kung di mo naman mamaximize then itry mo muna yung 50 mbps then kung mabitin ka pwede ka naman mag upgrade.
  • @ShinichiKudo
Thanks! Since wala ako makausap sa hotline, punta na lang muna ako sa Globe store para maitanong kung pwede ko ipaupgrade si existing Home LTE to fiber.

    @owen

  • @boss ccl2003
Actually for work talaga, also IPTV ang most usage.

Kulelat talaga itong globe yung ibang ISP may
Thanks but no thanks.

I'm currently using AN5506_04F1A modem. Not sure what else to configure since naka bind naman lahat sila together.

true if you look on the lower plans, but once you crossed that plan 4999 and above, were comparing heaven and earth here.

    @blue @hp

let me guess... fiberhome gamit na ONU nyo, if this was the case, this is expected, It has something to do with AP/Network Isolation. I dont know why fiberhome came up with this useless feature anyway (it should be only usable for guest network). but meh, thats where you issue is.

so how to fix this? well the easy fix is to use your own router. that's it... we dont have easy access to disable this AP Isolation thingy and the only people who can disable this is from the ISP, alas you cant even ask this to a technical support as they probably dont have any idea with AP isolation is.
