  • for newly subscribed, how long before your Account Number can be recognized in Globe's online account registration/enrollment?

Medyo mabagal eh at minsan nag eerror.
  • ^Adjust mo MTU to lower.
  • for newly subscribed, how long before your Account Number can be recognized in Globe's online account registration/enrollment?

give it 3 to 5 business days para ma-enter sa database nila.
  • ^ thanks!

    another question:
yun po bang installation ng Globe (a/v)DSL ninyo ay grounded, meaning may steel pole na nakabaon sa lupa with a wire running on it from the subscriber box?

    much like standard PLDT installation?

    Thanks!
  • @ newbie:
sorry di ko alam yan, sa condo ako nakatira. nakatago yung mga wires from basement to my unit.
  • guys I have an issue with my ONU. This morning I lost internet and I thought the internet was down. However, upon closer inspection, Globe changed the settings on the ONU remotely and it is now locked into ROUTE mode (I lost internet because my router was dialing in pppoe which of course is not possible now that the ONU is doing the routing). I cannot change it to bridge mode even if there is an option there. It popups saying that this method is not available for this type of WAN connection. does any of you had this type of issue before?

@jeromex225, ilan months na sayo yun data only? bakit daw wala ng biglang landline?
  • ^

Na clarify ko an sa store... bundled tlga sya dapat pero ung pag activate daw ginawang data only. For now follow up pa din pero may 299+100 ako rebate every month until maconnect landline... not bad na din pero i still prefer the landline
  • Currently on plan P1899. Those who have the same plan, what's your average upload speed? Mine just hovers around 12Mbps. Is that normal?
  • @jeromex225

  • yun lang. wala akong net since 10am-ish. Tinawag na kaagad after several restarts and check ng cable. pero hanggang ngayon wala pa din.

on the contrary, i have never experienced such long with PLDT...

should be around half of 50 (25mbps). i get 19-21, but this is fine for me. i don't do a lot of uploading anyway. if this was recently installed, wait for a few more days until your connection has 'settled' with the system.

if it still hovers in the 12 region after a week, report it.
  • 2nd confirmation na 'to after ko maubos yung 300gb ko nung december. hindi siya 256kbps. from 50mbps to 15mbps. okay na okay pa ko sa speed na yan. :)

Mga subscriber sa Makati maa-avail daw nia yong 30% na throttle once ma-consume yong monthly data allocation pero technically daw minimum of 256kbps to 30% of your internet plan's regular speed. So parang gusto sabihin ng CSR na nakausap ko pag malas ang location mo baka bagsak mo minimum or close sa minimum (256kbps).
  • ^^

  • @renzo_upd Mismo! Napaka-unfair talaga. Sa home-based work ko kasi gamit.
Where even setting the MTU of your bridged router to 1450 won't fix the speed throttling but will fix the selective browsing issue...

Sample screenshots (test performed using 5ghz wireless network):

-Normal Bridge mode (router to directly initiate ppoe process):

-After setting my router to act as wired access point (stock modem config / modem to assign IP address of clients):

admin/admin doesnt work for me also :(
  • try different simple combinations:
    root/admin
    user/user
    admin/user
  • FF..

  • so tama nga 30% makukuha mo speed pag plan 1599 and up?

i've proven it twice, yes. 50mbps to 15 nung naubos ko yung 300gb. pero others are saying depende daw kung san ka located (which is pure BS, imo).
  • @shakenbake Basahin mo nakasulat sa picture na inupload mo, "Upon full consumption of monthly data allowance, minimum browsing speed of 256kbps will apply." That said hindi guaranteed ang 30% na throttle down.

PS. Yong 30% na nakasulat diya eh ibig sabihin guaranteed na minimum of 30% ng sinubscriban mong speed ang makukuha mo lagi with 80% reliability unless maubos ang data allocation mo, doon na papasok si minimum of 256kbps.
