  • ^^ Chromecast must be connected to a VPN as well. When you cast, Chromecast will stream directly to Disney+ servers instead of on your phone.

The best way to use TV or cast devices is to use Smart DNS rather than a VPN. VPN is possible but must be set up on the router instead of on the phone only.

hmm so scared to F up my home network baka magkaconflict sa vpn rin sa office.... but i get it, safer fro em for now just to watch over my google tv chromecast as not to have problems...
Pero until now wala pa nag deliver. Though since hindi ko pa nasurrender yung PLDT landline unit ko, i plugged it to the ONT and it works (Globe updated the configuration on the ONT. The VoIP port was inactive and it was recently changed to Active)
  • Bulacan area, packet loss since 10:23pm.
  • biglang bagal dito sa calumpit 5mins ago.... 1mbps
  • pasig area ang bagal din.

  • Q.C. area no issue here

  • Fairview, QC working as expected.

  • ok na din sa calumpit
  • Caloocan area near c3 down since yesterday around 6 pm.
Tried sa globe at home app and meron daw outage.
  • Hello! Just want to ask, based on your personal experiences, how long is the waiting time for new service applications? Applied online a week ago but still no updates received from a rep. Thank you!

mas mabilis sa Globe agent kung new application. less than a week installed na basta avail ang facility ni GFiber.
  • my telephone's dialpad suddenly stop working yesterday. the tech then came to visit today to replace my busted unit.
yun lang talaga ok sa globe, next day action after reporting an issue(on my case) most of the time.
  • hi everyone, anyone here around Merville, Paranaque? (specifically near South Admiral) How's the reliability of Gfibr in your area?
  • Hi everyone, has anyone encountered an issue with their GFiber plan where Globe is unable to update the speed profile of our account (e.g. actual speed you're getting is 50Mbps, but on the account details and billing it is already updated to 200Mbps)? I've had about 5 escalations already to no avail. Do note that I'm still paying the same 1899 monthly from when I first applied, it was originally 30Mbps, and was automatically upgraded to 35Mbps, then to my current 50Mbps; but months ago it should already be updated to 100Mbps, and now should be 200Mbps.

The only "workaround" daw, that the business center reps suggested was to terminate the existing account and apply for a "new" line. Still on contract so I'll have to pay pre-termination fees as well, so I'm waiting until after the lock-in period but it is really frustrating. Did anyone hear of this similar issue? How did it go?
  • No connection here in Santolan, Pasig. Anyone else experiencing sa adjacent area? I think around 8pm kanina nawalan.
  • Kaka 1 month pa lang ng Globe Fiber account ko pero so far, sa 1 month na yun ay wala namang naging problem sa area ko: no slowdowns, no high latency/pings, no LOS (crossing fingers), kaya pina upgrade ko agad kanina to Plan 2499. I'm satisfied with the service so far, once na na-activate na yung landline, pwede na pa disconnect yung PLDT. Mejo hassle lang mag pa upgrade kapag new account pa lang, need pa mag pa increase ng credit limit sa Globe store bago maka upgrade since maliit lang ang starting CL pag 2099 ang initial plan, buti na approve agad yung increase CL request.

In fairness, ang bilis din mag process ng upgrade sa Globe store, nag take effect agad after 2 hours, yung queue lang talaga ang matagal since madami tao haha:

  • Plan 1699 150mbps po ako pero yung speed ko nasa 50mbps lang on the average. yung 5g connection lang umaabot ng more than 150mbps. dapat po ba kahit hindi 5g connection gamitin ko aabot pa rin ng 150mbps? thank you.

Theoretical limit po ng 2.4Ghz band is 50-70Mbps depending on the existing environment pa yan kung may other wireless devices po kayo like wireless phones. In your case, talagang 50Mbps po yan since ISP-provided ONU po yata ang gamit nyo.
  • Hi everyone, ask lang po since I'm a new subscriber of Globe Fiber 2099 (10 days) medyo di pa ko familiar sa interface ng provided ONU ng Globe Huawei HG8145v5. Did some backread and nakita ko nga yung workaround on how to put the ONU on bridge mode, however, meron po bang paraan para makuha yung PPPoE ng modem na provided ni Globe? may software po ba na kailangan gamitin or need pa tumawag sa Globe CS? Thanks.
  • guys, usually ba ilang days inaabot bago ma activate yung account?
  • ^ max 7 days. kapag upgrade.

pero pag new install usually 24-48 hours.

Yes you can call Globe CS to ask about it or go to Globe Store for credentials.
    Or
you can try the default credentials of PPPoE which is:
PPPoE username: <firstname>_<lastname>@globelines.com.ph (eg: [email protected])
PPPoE password: <Globe at Home account number> (123456789)
  • Hi. I have GoUnli 1899 50mbps and nagpa upgrade ako to GFiber 1899 200mbps nung July pa. Ano kaya maganda gawin? Paterminate nalang tapos open ng new account?
  • Hi, planning to switch to globe fiber. To those who are currently in gfiber plan 2099, what average speed are you getting? Are you getting around 300 mbps consistently? Thanks
