Globe@Home GFiber Broadband Thread

    kung adsl ang modem mo, papalitan yan ng vdsl modem. kulay puti tapos dual band wifi, meaning may 2.4 Ghz at 5.0 Ghz na wifi yung vdsl modem. wag ka maniwala sa csr. lahat yan hindi technical. mga bobo yan. yung din sabi saken nung nagpa upgrade ako. wala daw papalitan at walang aayusin sa cabinet. Pag punta ng contractor, may dalang vdsl modem na ipapalit tapos ipapatch pa nila yung linya mo dun sa main cabinet.


    Tama nga haha. Pinalitan nila modem ko from adsl to vdsl 2 dual band then nilipat nila linya ko dun sa blue na cabinet. Yung phone pala voip na. Pag walang net wala rin dial tone haha.

  • Kahit pala mababang plan ngayon kung available na fiber sa area ayon ikakabit nila as opposed sa dsl lang. Example sa katapat namin plan 1299 lang pero naka fiber na. Nagpaupgrade ako from adsl plan 1299 to plan 1599 na fiber.
  • Medyo magulo nga si globe kasi pabago bago sila sabi una fiber then nung nag ff up to confirm naging vdsl. Kanina pumunta contractor fiber nga ikakabit. Unfortunately tomorrow na lang daw babalik since maling cabinet yung nakaassign sa akin. Need pa raw nila icoordinate since iba configuration ng malapit na cabinet.

    I just called Globe to follow up my application. It has been 3 says since they ask us to send them the requirement. When they called us regarding the requirements. The agent told
    Me that there is 1 available slot in my area for go big 1899. So i didt emailed them my id right aways for faster processing. Unfortunately, i called them this morning. They told me that the slot is already taken. And that i can apply again the next 2-3 weeks.

    I just dont know why they will tell you at first that you can have it, then later on get it back.

    They need to make sure first that customer can really expect to have the connection or not by rchecking the area and not only their system. Before giving such confirmation to ther customers... My sister didnt went to work, as we are really expecting that it will be installed one of these days. Badly need an internet connection. :’(

    Converge and pldt fiber still not available in my area only DSL which is sucks.
  • Talaga bang hindi working yung lan port ng fiber modem? Yung old adsl modem ko kasi working yung lan for internet pero dito sa new na huawei hg8245h unidentified network and di rin maaccess yung router page pag lan.

    Naka hg8245h din po ako, working naman lahat (4) ng lan ports. Tingnan ko mamaya pag uwi kung na ninja-patch. Or baka nagloloko na po yung binigay na router sa inyo.

  • Mukhang may problem nga yung router. Anyway pupunta naman yung technician mamaya kasi di pa ayos yung phone. Nireset ko na ganun pa rin. By default enabled dapat yung lan based sa nakausap ko nung tumawag ako sa globe.
    Ayaw rin naman nila ibigay yung admin username and password ng router.
    Nagoogle na ako and try yung mga default password for admin ayaw gumana. Mukhang binago ni globe.
  • ^For the password try not using the last 2 digit SN then get the 6 digit before that.

    Sample: V1R006C00S100 Serial number

    User: admin
    Pass: globe@6C00S1

  • Hi guys, ask ko lang kung nadedelay ba talaga sila sa pag install ng broadband sa bahay. Supposedly dapat kahapon yung installation nung akin kaso hanggang ngayon wala paring pumupunta or tumatawag.

    Sakin po na delay. Friday Sched ng installation ko pero Monday (next week) wala pa. So inisip ko nalang hindi pa activated yung fiber boxes dito samin pero nung Tuesday biglang may kumatok at nag install.

  • Pahelp naman po maganda po ba ang globe fiber 5mbps? Ksi upgrade daw nila bayantel account ko to globe fiber for free

    Yung sa kaibigan ko 5mbps Bayantel to Globe UNLI no Capping ang offer. Make sure ganyan din offer sayo at dapat sure na no CAP talaga. Since fiber yan less ping = ok sa games.

    5mbps ok naman for streaming basta 1-2 person lang na sabay.

    Yun nga prob ko nung may tumwag na agent from loyalty dept ng globe sabi unlimited n daw ung internet ko at fiber na sya pero nung tumawag ako sa hotline sabi naman 100G daw ang account ko it means naka data cap ako.. ano kaya pwede gawin.?

    At 6 kmi gumagamit ng internet kaya kaya un ng fiber 5mbps mahilig p naman kmi s netflix. Tnx po sa sagot

    Nako need nyo ng mataas na bandwidth if netflix user kayong lahat. Ano po speed ng internet nyo dati? Kung 5mbps or less kayo dati at maayos naman kayong lahat nakaka netflix ipaglaban nyo na dapat unli yung net nyo as per Loyalty Dept.

    Plan 1199 5mbps ako sa bayantel tpos ginawa nilang fiber same plan din 1199 5mbps 100g.. sinabi ko nga sa agent n nkausap ko na unli internet ang sinabi ni loyalty dept skin pero sbi nia same lang daw ng plan ko sa bayantel ang retained.

    At ask ko lang ano ba pinagkaiba nila sa copper to fiber eh same lng namn sila na 5mbps? Tnx po ulit

    Nakuha nyo name ng Loyalty Department na kausap nyo or may Reference number kayo for that "Unli upgrade". Kapag nag pa ligoy ligoy na sila at hindi binigay sa inyo yung Unli mabibitin kayo sa 100GB per month lalo na sa netflix,

    Ang pinag kaiba ng copper sa fiber na unang unang mararamdaman ay Ping pero subjective parin sa lugar. Yung ibang advantages ay technical na at masasagot ni google yun hehe.

    Un lang ndi ko nakuha ang name ng agent na kausap ko pero ill try to insist sa hotline ang sinabi skin ng loyalty dept..

  • @Japhy-minsan talaga may pagkainconsistent din si globe or I think hindi aware lahat ng agent which is which. Example ako nagpa upgrade and during the upgrade sabi may kasama raw netflix pero wala naman pala. Ok lang din naman kasi free naman yung upgrade from adsl to fiber. Lahat ng device like phone, router and cable bago.

    Maganda rin pala sa fiber aside sa ping bababa, yung upload speed mo tataas din. Half ng download speed yung bbigay na upload.
    Kung di talaga unli yung bibigay sayo pachange mo na lang sa go big 1299 since 5 mbps din yun pero 400 GB na yung data.

    Mabilis nba tlga si fiber kmoara dun sa dting 5mbps ni bayantel? Ang worry ko lng ksi mahilig kmi s streaming i.e netflix hooq baka mamaya mag super buffer na sya pag nging globe fiber.

    Pwede ba agad i pa upgrade ulit un after installation?
  • ^Yes pwede agad mag-upgrade. Walang bayad kung upgrade pero downgrade meron. Yun nga lang every time na mag uupgrade ka marereset yung contract mo 24 months ulit.
    I suggest tingnan mo muna kung enough na yung speed ng inavail mo. Dati rin akong galing sa 5 mbps adsl. Ok naman yan pag netflix naka full HD and yung other device normal browsing. Pag 2 nga lang yung streaming medyo mabibitin ka na kaya nagupgrade ako to 10 mbps.

  • sucat paranaque area.. No internet light.. around 12am.
  • Makati area no net also. ('di ko Alam ano color Ng light since naka birdge mode modem ko lol)
  • Near merville paranaque, no net around 12am din
  • Up na po ulit dito sa akin.
  • Ping is back, hope for good.
